  1. Our biggest game in years tonight. I have no faith in the current crop to get a win though. We lack the fight and leadership for a relegation fight whereas Millwall have that in abundance. If we go one down then we never come back to win so we simply have to get the first goal. I think it will be a draw as Eustace is good at getting those.
  2. I meant it in a more symbolic way that everything GB touches in the transfer market is an absolute disaster.
  3. Fleck out for the season. Another masterstroke by GB in the transfer market! Who'd have thought an old injury prone player would be, well, injured. What a transfer record than man has got!
  4. We will when we see the quality of player that replaces them!
  5. I hate Venkys as much as the next person but the above is just not true. Getting promoted to the Premier League would mean that the club could become self-funding and no longer have to put huge sums into the club. It would also give them greater brand exposure which is ultimately why they bought the club. It is very gutting to think our best assets will have to be sold off cheaply if and when we drop to league one. Sammie, Carter, Hyam, Bucko, Trav will all be sold cheaply. Others who will leave are Trav, Gally, Siggy, and all of the loan players. We then have Gregg responsible for a re-build on about 50p and a packet of crisps. We are in a real mess.
  6. It will be a draw. Millwall have way more about them than we do and will be happy to frustrate us for a point. I think we may beat Plymout though so that's four points out of 9 from relegation six pointers. We'd then have to find 9 other points from somewhere to stay up. We have the top goalscorer in the league yet sit one point above the relegation places. That shows how awful we have been. Although are squad is very poor, I still don't think it should be a squad on paper that is one point off relegation. There has been complete mismanagement at all levels this season. I genuinely can't see us staying up as we simply don't seem to know how to win games. Even when we went 3 up against Stoke we nearly imploded - and that was with us 3 up and very comfortable. Eustace just can't seem to get anything out of this squad so far. Not that I'm blaming him as he's had no time to work on the players but I did expect more of an impact than we have seen. Not a single win yet.
  7. 2 wins from our last 17 games and we need 3-4 wins from 11 league games from here to survive. We have Leeds, Saints, Leicester, Ipswich to play so it really is looking very unlikely at this stage. Question is who stays if and when we drop down a league. Really hate these owners more by the day.
  8. Does anyone have any belief we will get 6 points in the next 2 games? We've barely won for months. We're in miracle territory now given our form.
  9. Im very concerned we've had no new manager bounce at all. Not a single win under his belt yet. That was our only chance of survival getting that new manager bounce. Millwall have had a brilliant new manager bounce and they will probably beat us on Tuesday. I certainly don't see us beating them.
  10. Awful set of results for a second weekend running. We're just not even getting close to getting a win. I fully expect us to be relegated from here. When QPR are beating top of the league opposition, you just know you are doomed.
  11. QPR 2-0 up against Leicester. They have a top manager. This is looking like a disastrous day for us unless there's a huge turnaround in other games. Our game is done.
  12. Completely blame the manager for this one. Played our strongest team against Newcastle which I knew would mean it would have significant consequences for today. Other fans weren't quite so clued up when I said that on Tuesday but here we are now 1 point of relegation...
  13. This is a tough game given how important it is and how bad we are away. A draw would be OK. Swansea will see it as a very winnable game at home. It sounds like both Gally and Tronstad will be fine to play which is a huge boost. Presume Pickering will come in too. I sense that Swansea are a bit like us under JDT. Too much focus on trying to play pretty football but not a lot of substance behind it. Our more pragmatic style may cause them problems I think.
  14. My fear too. Gally injured and many players playing for 120 mins. Meanwhile Swansea will have had a full week off. Enjoy tonight I guess rather than worry about the weekend but I think this could come back to bite us in the league.
  15. Szmodics wasn't injured. He had a very unfortunate incident which is very painful!
  16. We've had so many shocking results and performances this season but tonight was the best performance we've seen all season. We were better than Newcastle for most of the match and we looked like a proper team at last. Tough to break down, dangerous on the counter, committed, motivated, and we played to the strengths of the players at our disposal. All the things we've been missing this season. Promising signs.
  17. We've been excellent defensively tonight aside from the goal. We look like a proper outfit again to me after becoming a soft touch under JDT. I feared playing our full team tonight may backfire and have implications for Saturday and the rest of the season. If Gally us out for weeks then my fears have come true. Big risk playing our full team tonight.
  18. What makes you think we won't go down? We are 4 points off the relegation places and have barely won a game this year. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose on Saturday to put us even closer into the mire. That's how bad we are. Stoke will change their manager soon and then we are hoping and praying they don't get a new manager bounce otherwise we're in big trouble.
  19. I will watch, of course. And of course I hope we win but I won't care too much if we don't. It has very little to no impact on the club. When you are in serious danger of dropping into league one, which we are, then these types of games are not important. A win here is a nice boost for the club, but relegation to league 1 is a disaster. Playing 3 games a week has (almost) been a terminal blow for us this season. We have a tiny squad and the more games we play, the more injuries we get. If we get injuries now to key players then we are looking at a terminal situation given we need to pick up points in the next 3 games. We can easily go on a run of 1 win in 11 games again if we are missing key players. That would relegate us.
  20. Couldn't care less about this game in all honesty. I hope he's not silly enough to play our strongest 11. All focus needs to be on the next 3 league games. If we don't pick up at least a couple of wins from those then we are heading for league 1. Stoke will probably change their manager soon so we need to pick up some points. Not that we've had any real new manager bounce but most clubs do.
  21. Probably but if they ever do leave then it will be due to political or economic enforcement imposed on them, so there is a glimmer of hope if a serious offer does come in given the pressure they are under from the government. They certainly won't leave due to fan sentiment or protests, they couldn't care less about that.
  22. The Indian government could force their hand. They clearly don't want them owning us and sending significant sums of money out of the country.
  23. The Bahrain Royal Family are looking to buy an English club. Rovers suggested as one of those possible clubs by The Mirror. We can dream I suppose.
