Well done, good to see you are getting it. (I tried to write that without being condescending so sorry if that's how it reads)
-
I don't expect promotion ever from this bloke. We have no chance. Good that you're not a fan of Mowbray though! I see you replied to me already before I've even posted this. Something of a campaign going here! I'll leave it there and you can troll someone else.
-
No he didn't, you were right first time!
-
Really? I had high hopes for him when he came, but, realistically I shouldn't have. I should have looked closely at his record. The situation is that he is getting worse. He was outwitted by Neil last game wasn't he? Or did I imagine that? When we lose all the loanees at the end of the season and players leave without a fee, that's when we'll see his legacy. As for "stability"----at what point does that become "stagnation"? I would argue we're already there.
-
And what finances we do have have been spent well? Not that simple is it? The really simple part of it is that we have a poor manager.
-
If he didn't think Nyambe was good enough why didn't he sell him when we could get a decent fee for him and sign another? He's had four years + to sort out this spot and the rest of the defence and he's failed.
-
That's true but there was nothing special about that Preston game. It was typical of games we've seen for 2 years now. And there will be more.
-
Was he dropped or rested?

Koli b Drain, Pujara b Drain, Pant b Drain, Rahane b Drain.

We're in deep shit. I can understand resting Jimmy Anderson but not Dominic Bess. Given that Joffre was injured as well bowling wasn't strong enough. And since we batted poorly in the first innings we forfeited any chance anyway. Just got to play for some honour now and not give up wickets cheaply.
-
Given the way we are playing that is not completely out of the question.
-
I can't help remembering that he had a pretty good loan spell with us originally and that was under Coyle! Coyle was a crap manager but he never played Gallagher on the wing or right-back. The lad's confidence is being ruined. I would like to see what a good manager could get out of him before writing him off.
-
Its a poor show though---commentators said repeatedly that they had never seen a pitch like it---"pebbles and dust" was the quote. However, some poor batting, notably Root. They know he plays that shot a lot and had a man out waiting for it.
-
I admire your optimism! We've come back well twice in this innings but the way the ball is turning does not bode well for us, especially batting last. Not beyond us but it will take a very special effort.
-
You can't see any connection between selection and formation on the one hand and the consequences on the other? Really?
-
This bit's right, the rest is gobbledegook.

Whiteman must feel relieved we didn't go for him.

That's the truth of it and, at the end of the season we'll be rebuilding again. Is there anyone left who thinks we have any likelihood of top 6 this season. Mowbray's failed and must go.
