  1. How about "going for it in a restrained way"?!!
  2. Are we actually signing him? I've seen endless "Rovers closer to signing Pickering stories".
  3. Looks like the owners have decided to go for it as, I seem to remember, you said a week or two back. Strap in and let's enjoy the ride!
  4. Seriously doubt that. If anyone offers it we would snap their hand off.
  5. Bloody hell Chaddy, he isn't a Rovers supporter is he? He had a choice and he made it---for himself. Plenty of time to help out another club when he is financially secure. Jones was a Rovers supporter and he was off to Manu like grease lightening!
  6. and the ability to see it through.
  7. Poor old Wharton. Waited so long for his chance, proved himself and promptly got injured. Football can be a cruel game sometimes. I hope he doesn't get forgotten.
  8. They'd rather earn £30000+ a week than £10000. Hardly a surprise.
  9. Yeah, I can see why you"d say that. I'm a bit ambivalent about it really. We won't see the best of him under Mowbray that's for sure. And it isn't fair to judge him on the basis of the position he's asked to play. The thing is we have a double dose. Exactly the same things can be said about Brereton! How anyone can say Mowbray's a good manager on this basis alone is beyond me.
  10. For everyone else on the MB, I'm sure its clear that my comment on the rate of progress is my opinion and just that. I didn't say so because its obvious!
  11. He is an odd one alright. Sometimes, in fact a lot, he looks like a young colt who's still learning to walk. And, you're right, hie first touch is often woeful. But he does compete, nothing seems to get him down, not even being played out of position. Every game he does something that makes you think "there is a player in there". But he was never worth £5M.
  12. I'm not lecturing you on opinions just telling you not to call them "facts"! You're perfectly entitled to believe Mowbray is a good manager, but "good' is a relative term. If you mean "good relative to Coyle" then you are setting the bar too low---in my opinion!
  13. Don't put words in my mouth, you have enough problems with your own!
  14. I'm a bit confused here----he's messed up so many chances as to prevent us being in the play-offs but its a great signing from Mowbray?!! You wouldn't be having it both ways would you?
  15. No facts to prove that. Just opinions. We have improved since Mowbray took over but at too slow a speed, especially since we have a good squad. In any case he took over from Coyle---how could we mot improve on that?
  16. Its been explained to you by others but its gone over your head as usual.
  17. People desperate for a good manager for the Club they love. Fancy that!
  18. Thanks for explaining all that to me! 😂
  19. Agree with that, although it is unbalanced. However we need someone who can get the best out of it and that's not him.
  20. "Fuck off, just fuck off1" I think I heard.
  21. I'm sure that's what Venkys think too!.
