Brockhall STC - planning permission application ?
47er replied to Mattyblue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Hang on a bit! I'm not calling for elections--you misunderstand me! I merely said that a "rep" is usually elected not selected, is responsible to those who elected them and is duty-bound to make regular reports to his/her members about developments as they occur. We have none of this, ergo he's not a rep. Now do you see my point? So, what is extraordinary is that a) we didn't know we had a "rep" on the forum, we have never heard any feedback on what's being discussed c) we don't know how that person was selected and d) at the time I was writing we don't even know who he is, though obviously some know who he is but apparently don't feel able to tell us. What a bloody farce, quite insulting really. We don't have a rep, someone from BRFCS has been invited to attend the Forum (itself a completely unelected group answerable to no-one) and we are in the dark about it. Never claimed any conspiracy, but its still very poor and I'm very disappointed. -

Very odd if Brfcs has a rep and we're not allowed to know who he/she is! Never come across that before. Usually a rep is elected. Come on, who is it representing me? Why the secrecy? -
The fear is that we will lose some of our better players if he is still here.

Shameful by Bairstow. Back to 20-20 for him. Will India have to bat again? Never seen anything like this. Amazingly only 10000 in. I would love to watch a game where its full---130000. The noise would be incredible!
-
Can't blame the pitch for that one, Crawley played down the wrong line. And there goes another one! 0-2. Saved on appeal! Terrible shot from Bairstow. And he's out the next bowl! You couldn't make it up.

2 innings completed in 4 sessions, a part-timer has 5 for 8. I know home sides come up with wickets that put them at an advantage but this goes beyond the norm. But the out-field looks nice and lush! A test is supposed to last 5 days!

What a great come-back from England! Trouble is we have to bat again. Crawley comes out of this well does he not? 8 down as I write, 3 for Root!

I can't stand it when Mowbray goes on about us all being on a "journey" We're not. Accy Stanley. Out of the League in the early 60's ( thanks to Burnley Bob) and out of existence for a while. A new ground. Then gradually moving through all the minor leagues and finally winning back their League status. Promotion to Div 3. Now looking good for promotion to the Championship, never been there have they? All on tiny crowds without billionaire owners but with community support and wonderful relationships between club and supporters. Not that's a journey. We used to have way more fans in Accrington than Stanley could ever hope for. Not any more I'd guess. Unless you've been a Rover for years, it'll be Accy Stanley for young lads there. We are shooting ourselves in the foot everywhere you look.

They'll get a shock with next seasons ST's if Mowbray is still here.

Venkys should sack him now and put Damian Johnson in charge pro them. At least the players would play a game they understand. Otherwise the end of the season could see us seriously embarrassed. Venkys don't do urgency though. -

This is abject defeatism. -
I don't see how anyone can! Verges on match-fixing. dust flying round when the batsman moves his feet----in the first session of the first day!

Looks a stronger line-up for me.

Those LT comments contain a few who believe the club might be looking to sell off some of its carparks for residential purposes. Almost an admission we'll never be back in the Premier League if true. Let's get ready to welcome Rochdale and Oldham to Ewood Park shall we? I didn't mention Acc Stanley---they could be above us for the first time in nearly 200 years. -

Both of them! -
Mowbray seems to be actively flogging Armstrong. “Future Premier League player.” And all that. I wonder if his summer recruitment programme depends on it? I think so.

This will be a lengthy process, time for some local Rovers supporters to get on the Parish Council and the Ribble Borough Council. Looks to me like Venkys at last see a means of getting their money back. If Rovers fans get in their way will they take revenge on the Club and cut off funding? You'd have to suspect so. They probably think they have us where they want us. Could be a pivotal moment in our history. I'm getting to the point where I just want to switch off. I have been supporting this club for over 70 years, it has been a huge focus in my life but I've never felt like I do now. I'm almost at the point of saying "do your worst and bugger off, I don't care anymore". I'd sooner be a casual supporter at Accrington or Chorley (never Burnley) than feel this debacle eating me away year after year without hope.
