  1. We've signed Ayala permanently so he'll always be in the frame. But his injury record shows he will rarely be in the team. A very poor signing. Other than that you're saying what I'm saying and I agree with you!
  2. Magloire is playing well for Motherwell though. Its hard to make the comparison but I imagine, apart from Rangers and Celtic, that League is somewhere between Championship and League 1. But you've said it yourself, Wharton surprised by how well he played when he got the chance. And he was loaned to lower league clubs wasn't he? You can't take the opportunity if you are not given it. Branthwaite is 18 and playing like it!. There would still be plenty of players with experience--Lenihan,Dack, Rothwell,Kaminski, Travis, Holtby. On another point, don't be conned by this "losing by the odd goal" bit. If you are 3-1 down and you score a 2nd in the 90th minute, the scores are close but the game wasn't. And we've had plenty lately where the narrow margin flattered us. Anyway, perhaps we can agree that a better manager would handle these kids better than Mowbray could. It seems to me our young players only make their debut when there's no choice left.
  3. Sorry, I forgot him. Clearly he would start before Carter. For those who say we'd get mauled, we're already getting mauled--1 point out of 18! Players with some long affiliation with the club might bring some heart into the squad. Really, I'm only pointing out that the sole bright spot in this sad saga is the calibre of the young players we are turning out. Great decision to slash the Academy! When they have come in, generally they have impressed. If we started next season with Lenihan, Wharton, Magloire and Carter as the four centre-backs, with Ayala able to appear every now and then, would we be better or worse than at the start of this season? Branthwaite isn't ready but he's playing every game.
  4. In any case Magloire is 22, not really young. He's not going to hang around till Mowbray thinks he's old enough is he?
  5. if we keep Nyambe the defence next season could be Nyambe Carter Macgloire and that new Guy from Crewe (whose name I've forgotten) With Kaminsky behind them, there is something solid to build on. Given that Travis would start in the middle, hopefully alongside Davenport, there's a really good young side merging there----hopefully skilled and hungry. We'll have to replace Armstrong of course------McBride? There's also Rankin-Costello/Pike if Nyambe goes. And Dolan to throw in. I could be proud of a line-up like that but not with Mowbray coaching the life out of them.
  6. Hearing aids reduce the problem considerably my doctor told me.
  7. And start next season expecting what? You do realise we are losing supporters at an alarming rate? Hidden by the virus. If he's here next season our crowds will fall at a spectacular rate. The club is dying. we have nothing to look forward --to unless this guy goes. Even then.....
  8. If Evans got as far as he penalty area he'd die of oxygen deprivation!
  9. We've had loads of posts this season supporting Mowbray by pointing out that we had more points than last season, scored more goals and were higher up the table. Funnily they've all stopped!
  10. I've already got it! Somehow or other my brain has managed to forget about it and it never bothers me I've never listened at the volume you describe though.
  11. Sorry, it should but it wouldn't.
  12. We are a top 6 squad and we go into the final stretch of the season worrying about relegation. That says it all about the manager. The games come and go, some of them easy on paper, but the wins don't come. TM said we were a top 6 squad and that was the aim this season. He has failed, the team is going backwards, we are in a real mess. No other club would put up with this rubbish. After the Barnsley debacle, he commented that they are a "well-organised team". By implication, he's admitted we are not. 3 teenagers from other clubs in our team while our's are loaned out. McGloire getting rave reviews at Motherwell by the way and Carter similar at Shrewsbury,(admittedly different level). Why not with us? It always seems that when one of our lads is picked and plays well, it comes as a complete shock to TM. There is no actual plan to gradually bring them into the fold. Same thing happened with Wharton--came in when there was no-one else and kept his place. Really unfortunate that he got injured. Which takes me to my final point---- injuries. some are keen to point out we have 10 or 12 players out. What they don't point out is that they are notoriously injury -prone to start with and that's why they were cheap or free in the first place-- Bradley Johnson----how many games has he played? Ayala---everyone knew we'd be lucky to get 10 games a season from him. Given that Lenihan has an injury record as well, we were obviously going to struggle defensively this season. But, TM didn't see it coming apparently and he's now moaning that he has "no defence". Sorry to have a rant but sometimes its that or give up!
  13. I've got a pair on Sony MX3 headphones and they are brilliant for the money. Haven't tried the Mx4 but doubt they will be significantly different. I'm currently rediscovering Joni Mitchell on them! Considerably cheaper than the Bose equivalent, as everything is!
  14. No---we are on a journey and we haven't reached our destination yet.
  15. You're optimistic! Barnsley now up to 7th and we are 11 points behind them. We are looking down now not up and hoping the season ends as we fall over the line. Barnsley, bloody Barnsley I ask you! Where are all these people pointing out that we are only the 10 biggest spenders in the Championship when it comes to Barnsley? All about good management isn't it?
  16. Clearly telling the owners they'll have to pay out his contract.
  17. Accept all this and all your unpaid work is much appreciated. So @J*B is the rep. Is that right? And a very good job he'll make of it.
  18. Because its less than a 400 million loss?
  19. My fear is that at the end of this I will have no club to support.
  20. Won't take long at this rate mate but I'm done with you. Anyone expecting positive outcomes from this lot of chancers and spivs is naive at best.
  21. Once again Chaddy, I don't think that reads as you intended.
  22. Ha! Well how do you imagine these "business people" will react as the losses keep piling up then? I think I know----flog off what's saleable-----like Brockhall! Your turn now. Possibly more posts on this one topic from you than in your posting history. I smell a rat!
  23. That's exactly what I said. Wasn't their intent but it happened---twice! So if their intent is to improve the Academy, on past record it will be a disaster. As I said hapless and hopeless.
  24. Well have a guess! Venkys who are responsible for it all! Its not going to come from a whip-round in the pubs is it? Why should they do that? Because their lunacy caused it and, should they carry on, the debt will only double. Its a debt of honour if you like. Its accepting responsibility No way of recouping it other than promotion and settled status in The Premier League. We all know they are incapable of achieving that. By the way, I'm always wary of people who come on here at crisis times with virtually no posting history and support the owners/ Ewood hierarchy. I always suspect some skullduggery!
  25. What a threat! I see that as good news personally!
