  1. Hughes is a sneaky Welshman. Only today did it occur to me that he pre released Bruno Berner only to save him two thirds of his transfer budget at City. B*st*rd!!!
  2. You don't do yourself many favours mind. So why did Allardyce do well at Bolton but not Newcastle? Do you think 6 months is enough? Do you think Geordies aren't delusional? How does Keegan get your vote?
  3. Smiffy, what are you letting Incey off the hook for? He's just mocking now you Smiffy, look at that grin...
  4. Well played Hughesy. Soured a very good job by a very messy departure. You'll be a cracking pundit.
  5. Thomas Lang is the best all the mentioned drummers so far.
  6. Phillice, Please can you summerise in less than 3 days what your point to do with Man Utd is? What are you suggesting might happen to them, and how might this happen?
  7. Sometimes you genuinely make me laugh, but that's just a cretinous comment.
  8. Non of your spin can alter my earlier statement. Not questioning any of your figures or statistics, as I can't in any way be bothered doing any research to even think about challenging them, but United, unfortunately for you and your personal hate campaign, will never crash and burn. They are far too big, and far too good.
  9. Do consider that I don't actually believe Duffless limbs could run and things. However, one thing I would say is Dunn has not had any serious injury problems since returning. Bellamy never had it as bad at Rovers as he had since he's left. Duff is 29, his talent still remains, and if he could get back to just 50% the player he was, I believe he would offer more than MGP. So the questions to me are do I believe we could get him fit enough? Yes, past and current evidence suggest so. Also, do I believe Duff, at age 29 could get back to 50 % (and ideally 70-80%) of what he was? Again, yes I do, though this is based purely on my instincts of the kind of guy he is, and would he want it enough being back at Rovers, which I like to think might give him a lift.
  10. The only way United would ever be in trouble is if they didn't make the top 4 for two years running. Just makes all the statistics and speculation useless, because it will never happen.
  11. Duff with no limbs is better than MGP. Duffs' limbs with no Duff are better than MGP.
  12. Age may make you a better musician, however rarely does it make you a better performer, especially a band like Zeppelin. Three decades apart from creating music together usually does little either. The Who have spent more time together on tour than Led Zep, and anyone who has seen them recently would argue it's time to chilax somewhat. I am a big fan of the mentioned bands, I just really believe they shouldn't reform after all this time. Had they stayed together that would be fine, but the same bands with most the same fans who saw the last time they toursed usually ends in a big commercial poop. Bands that stay together aquire new fans, the music evolves, the band evolves and the shows evolve. This is just a case of re oiling the old machine. In my opinion reformations are rarely cool. I hope they don't do it.
  13. Don't do it Zeppelin!! We love the way you were, not the way you are! Unfortuantely money will talk, but the tour will offer nothing but nostalga to those lucky enough to make it (afford), and status to the majority of the suits who will make up the audience.
  14. Not an Oasis fan but IMO Noel has a much 'nicer' (If that's the correct term) than Liam, and it'd be interesting if they started going more that way now. Maybe it's just coincidence but everytime I hear more recent Oasis songs I always seem to catch one's where Noel is singing.
  15. You'll never get it back but the fact you paid that amount for them surely suggests you didn't buy them to sell on? If you did, sorry. Unless he goes on to score the winner for England in the 2010 WC Final. Then you're laughing. But ironically then you'd want to keep them. You've entered a vicious circle my friend.
  16. The difference is the other managers have only been successful at one club. Souness has won domestic honours with Liverpool, Benfica, Galatasaray and Blackburn. He also got Torino to a Serie B playoff final which they lost on penalties. Only at Southampton and Newcastle, where he was given just under 2 years between them, has he failed to deliver such results. That is incomparable to the other managers, and TBH with alot of other managers. Every decent/good/great manager has attributes others don't. I wouldn't disagree with you that Souness has some flaws which stop him being anything more than a good manager, but one thing he is is an absolute winner. At that, one way or another is what he usually does.
  17. Agreed. IMO we got off very lightly with Sunderland this year. I think £40m should have been enough to turn a Championship (Coca Cola) winning team into tophalf contenders, which would obviously be another problem for us. However, Keane has managed to waste 80% of the money given to him.
  18. After two months of deep thought, yes. Yes he was...
  19. Bleedin nora.. Just remember the good times, had Greame Souness not have taken over at Rovers we wouldn't be where we are now, he reinvented us. He's a nice bloke, always had time for other people, he's just a bit of a tough barsteward, but that's that. He has certainly achieved enough in the game to qualify to be a pundit on Sky Sports.
  20. He wasn't OTT; He was damn finest centre half I've ever seen in Blue and White halfs. I also intentionally didn't mention Dario Marcolin, who single handedly nearly saved us from the drop. Rubber dinghy man he was not.
  21. That we are not. Isn't that right Yorkey, Dino, Youri, Hakan, Stephane (Henchoz btw), Javier, Tugs....
  22. You're just a spin doctor. Some of your slants are unbelievable. Try this one, how much for a below average Premiership utility player who has never held down a place in a mid table Premiership team, and is equally poor at centre back or centre midfield. However, he can be accomodated on a 4-5-1 if you play an ultra defensive system.
