It was a ‘what if’ question. Regarding the bit I’ve emboldened - I think whether it’s natural would depend on why JDT was being replaced... Because he’d been ‘poached’ by another club (a la Potter to Chelsea) = natural Because he’d been sacked after a bad run of form = not natural.

I agree they’ll miss him I was just surprised by the number of goals he’d scored.

Given the improvement people talk about I was surprised to see he’s only scored 6 league goals this season. Of course I’d be absolutely delighted (and quite frankly astounded) if any of our strikers net that many in the second half of the season.

Have I misremembered or wasn’t the tactics side part of the reason for Remi’s appointment?

I think a vast majority of the posters on here who are critical of JDT have taken that into consideration. I maybe wrong but I think most people accept he’s not got much to work with but are concerned by his apparent unwillingness to try something else tactically.

Or he’s suggesting the fans bring their boots along…
