  1. I’d say their new owners are worse than their old one - ergo the gap has closed. Of course it could widen again once we know who (if anyone) are Man Utd’s new owners…
  2. I think it’s because the championship is full of weak teams. I’d be hesitant about moving Hill too, I just wondered if it was a better option than having S Wharton at CB (whilst also getting A. Wharton back in the eleven). I don’t attend games so that’s why I asked 👍
  3. Is Hyam’s injury a way to get Adam Wharton back into the team? Leo JRC. Carter. Hill. Pickering Tronstad. Wharton Brittain. Sammie. Dolan Leonard/Ennis (one half each)
  4. ‘Weeks’… https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/october/27/hyam-out-of-swans-showdown/
  5. They’re certainly closing the gap.
  6. From the BBC - Following the announcement of Tonali's ban, reports linked Newcastle with a move for former Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, who moved to Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal in the summer. I wonder how long the negotiations will take between the two owners…
  7. Sam Hart? You edited your post as I was typing!
  8. Smokey Robinson And The Miracles - I Second That Emotion
  9. I’m struggling with both codes at the moment. There’s only so many times I can shout forward (pass) or not straight (put in at the scrum) at the at tele…
  10. He might well be back to fill the gap left by the sale of Wharton.
  11. Livingstone reminds me of the sort of players we used to pick - Jack of all trades, master of none.
  12. Artic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor
  13. So far we’ve… Lost to New Zealand by 9 wickets (with 14 overs to spare) Beaten Bangladesh by 137 runs Lost to Afghanistan by 69 runs Lost to South Africa by 229 runs Lost to Sri Lanka by 8 wickets (with 25 overs to spare) …and yet Buttler is determined to stay as captain.
  14. It appears you also lose points for there being another club in your catchment area. Why don’t they just be honest - they want the biggest 12 clubs to be in the super league irrespective of whether they are the 12 best teams.
  15. Wolves vs Chelsea moved to 1pm Christmas Eve. Isn’t that time set aside for men to do their Christmas shopping?
  16. The better a team is the less important the (match day) captain becomes??
  17. That’s a great summary. I’m not sure they know how they want to play now - as you say that comes from the captain (and the coach). I just read that Livingstone (30) is the only player picked today whose under 33 - that doesn’t bode well for any ‘succession management’ We’ve just taken an early wicket - let’s hope all this moaning turns out to be premature 😁
  18. We’re lucky relegation isn’t a thing.
  19. I get that the some of the players are getting on a bit but how on earth have they gone downhill (as a team) so quickly?
  20. 156 all out - I think you’re being polite.
  21. 76-3… Now 77-4 - they might as well fly home tomorrow.
  22. Pickering used to captain Crewe - maybe JDT would choose him?
  23. I think this is exactly right. A player of this ilk loses so much the minute they doubt or second guess themselves. This is why, imo, their form can fluctuate to such extremes - once something goes wrong they start second guessing everything they do. That split second delay in their thinking leads to that thing not ‘coming off’ either and the spiral continues. At some point the decision, whether consciously or subconsciously, is made to take the easy option (eg a simple backwards pass) - which just further exacerbates the drop in form. It looks like Dolan has turned the corner, let’s hope this upturn continues.
  24. Ben E King - Stand By Me
  25. Was (Not Was) - Walk The Dinosaur
