  1. James Bay - Hold Back The River
  2. The MCC haven’t ‘given in’ to Australia, they have merely enforced there own rules which all members agree to follow when they join.
  3. Appointment confirmed
  4. I wouldn’t be celebrating - I’d have fainted from seeing Gallagher do that! 😁
  5. I’ll be surprised if Upside Down does, I think he lives in New Zealand.
  6. Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street
  7. Or ‘the inappropriate flashing of one’s ankle (or ankles)’: A formal standard of dress applies in the Pavilion on all match days. Gentlemen A tailored jacket or blazer with a collared shirt; Tie or cravat; Tailored trousers (chinos, corduroys or other formal trousers); and Footwear appropriate to a formal setting with socks which cover the ankle.
  8. MCC members get in trouble if they wear the wrong blazer/tie. They’re certainly going to get into trouble for confronting players inside the pavilion.
  9. Do you not think if most the crowd made their feelings known but the MCC only felt it necessary to suspend three of its members that maybe, just maybe, those three took it too far?? Blimey, that ended up being a bloody long sentence.
  10. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger
  11. I’m all for playing to the letter of the law rather than the spirit of the law. But whichever view you take, it needs, in my opinion, to be same one whether the action is done by your team or by the opposition.
  12. I didn’t recall it being reversed - thanks for the reminder. I don’t think the one by NZ against Sri Lanka was reversed though - or was it?* * I know it was more obvious the ball wasn’t dead - but maybe similar regarding the ‘spirit’ of the game?
  13. Is this one from our coach any different??
  14. All the MCC has done is enforce their membership regulations. They don’t need to grow a pair and they haven’t acted disgracefully.
  15. Is dragging it along the ground not the same as dropping it? I think the problem with the rule is that, to a certain extent, control of the player’s movement is subjective. I agree with you regarding why we lost.
  16. Re: the Starc catch, the issue was whether he was in control of his movement as well - the umpires confirmed they felt that he wasn’t.
  17. I take your point that a draw can be exciting but… Would we want a boring draw with Burnley or an exciting loss to Burnley? - surely it’s always the former? - Why would this be any different for cricket? (particularly, as you say, against ‘this lot’) I’m all for starting off with the mentality of trying to win rather than trying not to lose - but at some point the draw does become the more desirable option.
  18. Brother Beyond - The Harder I Try
  19. You missed out the bit which says: Although employers can refuse to give leave at a certain time, they cannot refuse to let workers take the leave at all.
  20. The rules were followed for the Starc catch (and as you say for this incident too) This doesn’t stop the Aussies being arseholes (both last night and this morning)
  21. Holly Johnson - The Power Of Love
  22. Blondie - One Way Or Another
  23. Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - The Tears Of A Clown
