This seems as good a place as any to put this. I’ve just received the following in an email from the club - how difficult would it have been to make sure ‘unmatched’ ‘fingertips’ and ‘energy’ each started and finished on the same line? It might only be a small gripe but I think it is another example of the poor standards which run through certain parts of the club.

Would you be tempted to try Stokes at 3? - particularly given the unlikelihood of him bowling much? I know this ‘conflicts’ with my previous post but *at least* Stokes is a definite pick.

Which helps prove Jim’s point because they had Brook at number 3 for the first innings. Replacing one ‘not a number 3’ with another ‘not a number 3’ does seem a strange tactic to me.

That’s an awful lot of ifs but I do admire your willingness to share your optimism on here. For what it’s worth, I think we’re currently looking at 10th - 12th. With the ‘right’ signings for right sided attacker and centre forward, I’d probably change that to 4th - 6th.

I don’t know enough about all the other clubs to answer either of those questions. What i do know is having the best pair of teenagers ( if indeed we do) and the best DoF/coach combo (again, if we do) is not the same as having a top two squad.
