  1. I can’t find this information, where did you get it from? What happens if one club says yes and the other says no?
  2. Just had an email to say 48 hours to go and then the prices will increase. It sounds like they’ll be increasing again after 26th May. Piss up and brewery come to mind.
  3. If the EFL wanted more coverage, why didn’t they go with the reported offer by DAZN to broadcast every single match?
  4. It would be more profitable- you know it, I know it, I expect even Waggott knows it. But it would also take more effort - something SW is clearly unwilling to make.
  5. Also the more they stagger the fixtures the more it distorts the competition. Clearly we failed to take advantage, but by the time we kicked off against Luton we knew it was back in our hands.
  6. I was going to mention away games but you’ve beaten me to it. 12:30 at Plymouth, or Ipswich, or Norwich, or Millwall, or Swansea, or Cardiff… is inconvenient whether a week or a year notice is given. ‘There are none so blind as those who will not see’
  7. It’s down to broadcasters falling over themselves to offer ridiculous amounts of money. It will all get pissed up the wall anyway - the TV income has been increasing for decades but clubs still continue to make higher and higher losses.
  8. It’s fourth vs third (2 legs) Second vs winner of above (2 legs) Eleventh in Prem vs winner of above (2 legs) Winner of that promoted/not relegated
  9. We can all guess where your pre-season tour is going to be… Oh and it’s JJ Watt - call yourself a fan 😁
  10. I’m sure your right about them ranking towards the bottom overall. By way of comparison, Manchester United’s accounts for the same period have their overall staff costs as £372.5 million. United also spent £23.8 million on ‘compensation for loss of office’ aka sacking people. Sorry for going off topic.
  11. It’s D not DU 😀
  12. Ha! I don’t imagine they’re expecting much outside of Burnley itself. Even you must cringe at Kompany being described as a ‘lead character’
  13. Brighton’s accounts (to June 2022) have their staff costs as £115 million - where did the £28 million come from? As an aside, their broadcasting income was £126.2 million , ours was £8.4 million.
  14. What a load of overhyped bollox: Pace commented: “It’s been a truly unforgettable year, full of stratospheric highs, some daunting lows and everything in between. I’m delighted Ad Hoc and Sky have been there to capture this incredible journey, in all its emotion, depth and passion. At its heart it’s a story of family, faith, friendship, and of course football, set during an amazing time, in a great town, and of course led by a very special manager in Vincent Kompany.” Zai Bennett Managing Director of Content, Sky UK, added: “Burnley FC’s story over the last 12 months has been incredible. From one the biggest lows in club football, to one of the greatest highs, we’ve been privileged to follow the club throughout. With lead characters Alan Pace and Vincent Kompany, we can’t wait to bring our audiences this remarkable story from the inside.”
  15. They’ll make programmes about any old shit these days…
  16. Even easier to be better than BB.
  17. It will all end up going to the players (and their agents)
  18. £30 million for Joao Pedro - what the ….
  19. Could they only find photos of him miscontrolling the ball?
  20. Lol 25 minutes less driving time (from Nottingham) to Manchester City’s facilities (vs Nottingham to Brockhall)
  21. I’m afraid this is a lose lose situation for you: If we win it’ll be ‘why didn’t you wear it sooner?’ If we lose it will be ‘you knew they were bad luck but wore it anyway’
  22. Just wait ‘til we get AI VAR… Although I’d be perfectly happy with an AI CEO… And now I’ve got this in my head:
