One thing where the games are definitely the same is the ‘brains trust’ in the studio 😁

I don’t like comparing the two but If I was to I’d say the pace is (understandably) slower.

I commented on this in a different thread last week. I added that I hope this doesn’t change as the money ‘at stake’ gets (hopefully) bigger.

Did the commentator just say she’s confused by a booking for something that happened after a foul (VAR check)? Surely that happens all the time?

I guess the extra hour we batted on yesterday might still have been needed later in the match to chase down the ‘missing’ runs. Personally I would have declared earlier and ‘worried’ about that scenario if and when it occurred.

If we’re not playing a specialist wicket keeper why have a specialist spinner? (I may or may not be being serious here!)

I don’t think anyone was critical of him being in the team as a batsman. I’m not convinced he’s done anything to suggest he’s a better ‘keeper than Foakes. I guess the difficulty would be getting both in the team - maybe having Root as our spinner would allow for that? Leading to a team (if all fit of) along the lines of: Crawley, Duckett, Pope, Root, Brook, Stokes, Bairstow, Foakes, Woakes, Wood, Broad In the subcontinent you’d need a specialist spinner ( probably in place of Woakes?)
