  1. Is he balls listening all he's looking at is hitting his 4 million takings target and probably earmarking what games to charge more for. Also not lost on him will be if we averaged 3k home walk ups through the season on match by match prices that's a nice chunk of money, more than STs of a similar amount would yield.
  2. Chip butty - i see what they did there to swerve any controversy. Served on a barmcake though no doubt.....
  3. Plenty, there was a row on twiiter a few years ago and some guy went round chippies in Lancashire doing his own survey. Chip barm won the day.
  4. It's a barm cake and always has been. Chip tea cake ? 🤣 Give over.
  5. Whilst we definitely need some serious work on set pieces it's a poor do with all the coaches a club already has and the experience already here we need to get yet more bodies on the wage bill for something as basic as this. Maybe a start would be finding the right players for the right situations instead of getting the same guy to take nearly everything. Morton for instance rarely took one good corner or free kick yet was still stepped up to then when he was on. Schoolboy stuff that.
  6. Doesn't strike me as the type who just wants to put his feet up drink tea and eat biscuits i reckon he'll prefer the shorter contract to keep his options open. Yes there's the possibility of more compen but under performing managers don't get sacked here either these days so if he wanted to leave he'd have to walk. I think he'll be asking for strikers before he's asking for an extension.
  7. Kompany would be a great fit for Spurs, Levy do your stuff.
  8. Almost as if they'd prefer casual buyers paying more per ticket.
  9. Rooney as manager ? No thankyou although it might put a few on the gate if local redrags tear themselves away from their remotes to come and be near their former hero.
  10. He wouldn't have come here if he was going to jump ship the first sniff of other interest from abroad Champs league or not as allegedly he turned one down to come to England. Feyenoord or the Prem ok that's different but i'd hope t would take something special to leave here rather than bolting for the sake of it.
  11. "We knocked 20 quid off the early bird expecting 10k to buy but only 6.5k did, cheap tickets don't work here, we've done all we can." Maybe if you'd extended the early bird a few more would've bought ? "We'll look into it"
  12. Not only are Prestons a £100 cheaper but they do their early bird until June 5th and their adverts are everywhere. All over facebook even in the marketplace.
  13. He nearly had me going watching that never seen him so emotional it's not a trait you associate with him and his nerves of steel. What a brave kid as well.
  14. Martins football reminds me of what we had here when we finished 15th, possession for the sake of it all sideways and backwards. The ultimate going nowhere football but it's deemed ok because average players are playing it so it's called development and a journey.
  15. Interesting, shows the over acheivment but also shows you don't need the biggest budget to be competitive at the top end of this league. Now how many times have we heard 'it's all about the budget' in the Mowbray years !
  16. There is just no desire for it at Ewood at all they put all their eggs into the hope we have a good run in basket. They know crowds will pick up for a few months and boost the average but they still have to offer ticket deals to get the extra couple of thousand that wouldn't come if it was standard price. Lazy comfort zone dwellers.
  17. Saturday will probably show about 6.5k taken seats and another 18k available in home sections 😒 Only in the depths of the Ewood corridors does that make any sense at all.
  18. Non of that takes away from the assumption those positions in those leagues don't carry the pay packets of English football. Even at Championship level and i'd assume Mowbray and Venus having been here a while were decently renumerated as they were seemingly running the football operation at first team level. Greggs wages are obviously an added weight to the wage bill but they wouldn't have done it if he was expensive and JDT and Remy won't be on more than TM and Venus, a bit less i'd wager.
  19. I would say the pair of them came cheaper than Mowbray and Venus and that might well have played a part in letting the first two go, amongst other things. JDT was unemployed and Gregg had been at an outfit similar in size to Motherwell or someone so neither were commanding huge wages or compensation.
  20. Is this a recurring theme with Gregg then ?
  21. He's left for another obscure managers job.
  22. In the cold light of day to those looking from the outside the speculation for a guy who finished the season with 2 wins in about 10 and finished 7th with a club who finished 8th last year is understandable but maybe a bit over the top. So... it's either just column filling BS and pot stirring by the usual suspects or his agents are busy trying to flush out a new gig somewhere. He'll have known a while there's no brass to spend at all unless they engineer some but i doubt there's anyone he actually wants to lose from this squad. Also i doubt he has much faith in those above him after seeing how it works and he'll no doubt be aware of the prospect of 10k or less home turnouts due to the shoddy ST pricing. How far does he think he can take this club now after his new manager bounce season ?
  23. Exactly. they football their way nowhere every season and Mowbray already tried turning us into them and finished 15th.
  24. Nixon has read that on here again.
