Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

He'll be sacked the first sign of trouble and there'd be no tolerance for project talk amongst their hordes. -

JDT would be off his rocker to go there. -
This and only this 👍 Talk of 10 games and pick and choose STs sounds nice bit it's business suicide for a club like Rovers. If we were selling 10k+ guaranteed and wanted to draw a few more after initial sales had finished then fair enough. As we are though to risk decimating it even further in favour of part time tickets is a no go, i have issues with plenty things on their handling of STs but back them on this.

It was way before that have you all forgotten the cushion we had over Norwich ? so much so that some were calling the Bumley game the daft term 'free hit'. Amazing we are still in with a sniff but we'll take the chance. -

It's always been in our hands always but we haven't made a fist of it and we've had the worst run in of those around us. The hope is still there we haven't won for god knows how long so we are due but winning two on the bounce now is a long shot, from here to the moon i'd say. We are going to need a whole heap of luck on top of keeping the commitment levels what they have been. -
I'd like to think Hirst was coming in as a back up option with chance to prove himself then we might buy him and he'd step up next season. However the more you read past comments i'm not so sure it doesn't look like they thought he was a cheap ready made answer to the lack of a proper centre striker. Poor call if so.

Coventry's fanbase is dire for the size of the place and always has been. Even way before their hard times and they haven't been playing in front of anything like that all season. So they all turn up now, big deal. -
They aren't bothered at all they didn't spend and the cock ups saved them a fortune so it's a bit less in the debt column on the spreadsheet. We'll finish similar to last season so they can squawk 'great season buy a ST for next season now and we'll knock you a monumental 20 quid off'. Then the prices go up again for late deciders and newbies which covers the £20 anyway. Income maintained, spending in Jan compared to last season non, happy days for the bean counting fat controller. Eeks another year and few hundred grand out of it at least. Why is he bothered where we finish now or next season he really has no need to be.

So it'll be 7.5k max again by the end of summer. We've always had an almost identical fanbase to Bolton yet now despite them probably being a league below again we'll have half the season ticket base. Another monumental achievement by Venkys and Waggot and co but with away followings and match by match sales and banking on another cup run he'll hit his 4m. Position protected, wages secure, easy street job rolls on whilst 10k rattle around the cavernous Ewood most weeks.

Didn't Zaks mask slip eventually and his true colours finally shone through ?

For those mentioning Bellamy hes always been an unlikable little prick even when he was here briefly he was one. Scored a few goals though so nobody cared but part of the reason he flopped at Liverpool and Newcastle was because nobody liked him. Ironic that bankrupt and still a little prick hes found a good fit at Burnley putting out the bibs and cones. -

Dyche and the previous board made a silk purse out of a sows ear at Burnley although Coyle gave them some parachute money before that. This time Kompany has bought them out this league first time of asking. Rovers so desperately need that one season in the Prem to really genuinely rebuild like that lot. -
Bolton took over Chorley a long while ago they had a real push in the schools etc. Preston really pushed their massively discounted early birds all over the place last year as well. Blackburn Rovers ? Well if you went to the area you might see a bus or taxi advertising season tickets from about 3 years previous !

He wasn't saving that Burnley goal and neither was TK it was a peach of a strike sadly for us. -

Thomas has been wasted and i think it's clear he isn't in their long term thinking. The other night despite our overall pressure we never really looked like nicking anything until he came on and started putting something in the box without hesitating or over playing. He does lack in the tracking back dept though it has to be said. -
Steve will probably be helping the climate and mostly working from home.
-
But he'll really struggle against better defenders.

I don't think there is a snowball in hells chance of any sort of deal to boost crowds like our neighbours have done whilst Waggot is in situ protecting his own position. Iv'e highlighted it a dozen times since he walked through the door how he works and that was backed up by various interviews he gave at various corporate functions. Squeeze what you have to the max is his mantra and always has been so that will not change. The slight discount and early bird this year is basically a retainer to try and keep as many current holders as poss it certainly isn't a crowd booster. We have to rely on the team for that in the hope we finish strong and give some belief we can do the same next season.

We are certainly due a win and the way we've been playing you'd expect us to hammer someone soon. However we don't hammer anybody at the best of times iv'e never known a team who breaks forward so much be so shot shy and devoid of creating actual chances. Rovers 1 Luton 1 BBD signs off with a penalty. they level within mins. 13,109 -
Can't remember to be honest i just recall him struggling in a game and being a bit anonymous then he disappeared. Poss the WHam cup game ?

But they still have people in place with more than enough necessary experience and being paid enough to deal with these things. Budget limitations apply to most in this league and two of them will finish above us. Checking paperwork is filled in correctly is such a basic requirement in any kind of business it's beyond stupid to get caught out.

He's still never been the same since he drank that coffee as like a lot he was a bit feral at times before but now he is positively tamed 🤣
