I think the case for Wharton has good debate on both sides in terms of we might be a few points better off if he'd been playing more. He was great in the Blackpool match a real statement performance but he did struggle quite a bit after that and taking him out of it was the right thing at the time. I think the issue though is there has been too much feet dragging in getting back in again i don't think that can be questioned. Again it revolved around the seeming need to give Morton game time instead, he himself has been better since he was dropped before he got injured. However we didn't miss him one jot last night and Wharton has clearly always been twice the player but maybe needed more work on the training pitch and U21s to get to the point he is now.

Where i sit normally has a scattering of people and a lot of empties right at the back of the JWU but last night it was rammed and it was electric. I'll have that anyday the £10 tickets seem to bring more annoying clueless up and down the stairs all night then do one ten mins before the end if we aren't winning brigade. Last night most were on their feet throughout cheering on the lads and not a dingle in sight. -
Always been useless against the better sides in the division with the odd exception but in the main on form against the right teams he's the man. Sadly that means he's ineffective against half the teams in this division whether he is on form or not. He's another one who now JDT has made it more of a team game has got lost because most of the last few seasons play was tailored to try and getting him running at the last man from out wide. From looking like a real prospects hes turned into a bit of a one trick pony but we all know he's capable of better than hes shown the last few weeks. Mentally gone due to leaving, he's going to end up at Stoke i can see it coming.

I reckon he's a bit handy on the quiet is JRC and it's a long time since we've had that type of guy in the team. We could do with a few more but fair play to the lads dishing a bit out and up for a bit of afters.

Trying to be the Millwall of the north when nothing could be further from the truth they are so irrelevant nobody can be even bothered not liking them except us. -
Point A happens all the time in football so you need to be sure or have a plan. Point C Of course you can legislate for that you've just pointed out why it should be thoroughly checked before it's sent off by those in paid position to make sure things go correctly. And finally my point - You cannot constantly place blame for everything on anything and everybody apart from those at the club - as you always do. Sometimes, not all the time, but often they ARE responsible.
-
The main thing is are they going to try and build on this properly or just skirt round the edges again hiding behind 'project' talk ? JDT has shown enough to deserve some proper backing so if Venkys, Broughton, Waggot and whoever don't push the boat as far as they can they all need to clear off imo. Give this man the forwards he needs and a solid older Johnson type head to bring on to help see games out, then they've done their bit and it's all on him.

We played well tonight we just badly lack in the final third and box be we competed with the best side in the div all over the park. They are full of quality and rock solid at the back but we were the best side just one top draw strike edged it to them. Kompany has done a great job there and he showed his mettle with their subs at the end when we were throwing Pears and everyone in the box for a corner. That shows real nous it totally killed the moment and any impending chaos in their box, real cute stuff the bastard but THAT is how you use subs to see games out. Proud of the team and fans everyone gave their all but it wasn't to be but it certainly wasn't the predicted pasting either. As for Burnley fans truly an overrated self inflated waste of space but then again those of us who've seen it all before already knew that. Not a peep after the first 5 mins until they scored poor little mites looked a tad intimated without the rest of the single gene pool there to back them up. No hundreds in the home stands, no thousands outside and not as good inside Ewood as 1500 Norwich fans. Team deserve to be champions but their fans will remain shithouses who'll be crying most weeks next season. Reck em i''m glad they're gone, won't be long before they are back. -
Handy squad man lets not write him off he was decent early season and he has a good work rate about him. I'd rather have the likes of him in the squad than under achieving piss heads like Ben Marshall and Luke Varney and the like.

Agreed although the best marketing prospectus for season tickets is a good performance hopefully topped with a good result. That's something we have't been good at in recent times when there are a lot more than usual on. -

Have the Burnley bogeymen turned up in town yet, have they taken over all the pubs, bars and clubs ? -

The BBE lower holds c5k max, the JW around 10k and all shaded out areas aren't seats sold. Pal I'd love you to be right but if there's more than 16k home fans ( which will be good anyway ) i'd be amazed. -

Highly unlikely yet again more needless scare mongering putting people off going this is Burnley for gods sake not Celtic or Man City they barely have any fans anyway. -
Shame for him he's done ok since he got dropped from being a regular starter. I don't get the clamour to take him back but as usual there's a lot of virtue signalling going on our fanbase just loves to bicker amongst itself. In the cold light of day he'd be nowhere near it if Buckley had stayed fit and especially if they'd signed O'Brien and there's good reason that would've been the case. Coming back as a squad man as back up to our own lads or a loan more suited to what we need then yes fine. He's a potential good player and i expect he'll get another good loan out somewhere next season and probably haunt us.

It's rare they open the lower tier they usually just make the top available so i expect that to be the case. -

I see the hysteria is taking over again. Nowt will happen aside from maybe the odd scuffle afterwards it's not the 70's or 80's and by and large the hoolies of today reside on social media but will be nowhere to be seen on the night, hopefully. There's no pubs in Blackburn town centre to infiltrate and the police will have Spoons under control and be all over Mill Hill and Darwen. If anything happens it'll be in Accy i'd have thought. Best thing Bumley rent a mob can do is stay in their own town and enjoy their celebrations there, if things go wrong they can smash it up as per. -

Bizarre from him considering whenever he gets it on the right he cuts to his left and shoots, then when it's on his left foot bearing down on goal unchallenged...... Not lumping it all on him though theres been too much of that the fact is there was ample opportunity to intercept or clear it. Acres to run into maybe not helped by the tactical change and Wharton totally fluffed his lines then Hyam suffered a cruel once in several seasons wicked deflection. A combination of factors and brain farts all round. -

Are they even advertising tickets for this ? Normally social media has regular postings from Rovers in the run up to a game they are pushing. -

What Mowbray inherited at Sunderland seems to be a pool of young talented forward players and that is paying dividends for him. For the most part you'll read the same comments from Sunderland fans as there was here, yet hes only been there 5 mins, however they've just hit a bit of form at the right time. Something that never happened at Ewood under him but i'd suggest up there he's being pushed/pushing himself a little bit harder. He doesn't have free reign over the place he's under a DoF and has 30k fans scrutinising him not 12k so easy street isn't an option. Added to that he is a solid very experienced manager at this level and probably would've had us in the play offs last season if he'd been able to sign a striker ( if he wanted one) and applied a little more urgency. So it's no real surprise he might have them finishing up there. It's somebody else's squad not one he's been holding back for years.
