  1. Rovers have managed to lose to 10 men this season yet it's nailed on we'd not win one with ten.
  2. I was asking about Suhail and how this shadowman pays his bills. That's an eye watering wage though for a club like them so i wonder if it's a cost cutting measure planning for the inevitable. They are fooked now and i'm ecstatic.
  3. What does John Coleman know about Championship football or dealing with players on 10k plus pwk ? Nowt. Sadly there is more to the job than just beating the drum.
  4. You start your best team for the job ? Well what was the job v Derby and Coventry ?
  5. I agree iv'e enjoyed parts of this season more than any recent ones but i didn't see many people smiling last Saturday or after playing Fulham at home. A few good months and unexpected top 2 position doesn't allow for everything else to be swept under the carpet. What we've seen over the last few months is the standard Mowbray stuff that we have to look forwards to next season and beyond if he stays. After basically blaming the players then - quite rightly - the officials he's now presenting himself as their protector. The guy is insufferable. As for the funds well over the FFP cycle him and his CEO have spent all the brass they were allowed, this is plain fact backed up by the accounts. Hopefully a new cycle begins in summer and if these owners keep the same commitments then there might be some wiggle room. So it's time for him to wiggle off for a good rest and in his own words let someone else have a go, we recovered from the Coyle debacle and will do so again. Blackburn Rovers FC doesn't revolve around Tony bloody Mowbray what if the fella actually wants to leave ? Anyone ever thought of that ? We have to move on at some point so now it's a case of sooner the better and leave the knee trembling in the past.
  6. If Sam or someone is to step up we ain't reinvesting any BBD money there's the first clue right there. Also if that was the plan then there'd quite obviously have to be yet another change in style of play because Gallagher is a center forward. Nothing more nothing less despite what professor Tone tries to make him into it isn't happening, yet we don't play with CFs plus there is Dack to consider. More muddling next season to look forwards to.
  7. The impression i get is that's how Mowbray and a few others down there would like it to be and the only remit they have to follow. Nice low budget easy number without the pressure of top 6 ambitions from owners and fans. Rotate team every week keep everybody involved, shrug shoulders when you win one in ten and say not bothered as long as some are developing. Oh, hang on a min we've already seen that in recent years ! This season has put that crap to bed and proved you don't need 100 mill or to be paying players 30k pwk just to at least have a go at it.
  8. The odds are it would be one from the HSH bin list that nearest matched the criteria of the last 3. If they didn't want it it would roll onto the next one and so on. If i had to go for anyone on there it probably would be Robins he has form for doing what Mowbray couldn't do. Could he do better with a better squad and a bit more backing ? Why don't we try and find out because spinning the wheel, giving them a fair crack of the whip and reasonable backing is the only way this club will really turn into promotion material.
  9. Instead of changing tack stand by your repeated words and take the bet. When Lambert came in he was mid 40s and had a promotion in the last 5 years on his cv. Coyle not much older and also a promotion in less than a decade on his cv. Mowbray early 50's and similar to Coyle. There's a pattern there that you aren't seeing and that's the reason Coyle got his foot in the door via his links to those he'd never heard of. Phil Brown is in his 60s he isn't on the dole (yet) he's in league 2 and his promotion was over a decade ago. It won't be Phil Brown and that is the be all and end all of the debate.
  10. Whatever is going on at Ewood the LT comments section always has at least 50% beating the drum for what most see as the problem. Venkys, Kean, Coyle even Anderson and co at times, now TM can do no wrong. It's always been the same and if you were operating 'positive' PR with multiple accounts or looking for clickbait that's where you'd go. A lot of those clowns don't exist and others never ever take off the spectacles.
  11. I'm saying it won't be Phil Brown who you keep throwing presumably because he is the worst you can think of besides Kean and Coyle. If you are going to keep trying to terrify people into clinging on to your hero i suggest you get a bit more realistic. Underwhelming it no doubt would be, HSH it no doubt would be but Phil Brown it won't be.
  12. No it'll be Alan Smith or what about John Gregory ? Might as well throw all yesterdays men in whilst we frighten everybody into toeing the Mowbray line.
  13. Stop the scaremongering FFS i'll stake you £100 right now it won't be Phil Brown so step up or...
  14. Ha ha that's the funniest thing iv'e heard on here in a while. All they want to do is turn his words into print they don't want to be sweeping bits of eggshell off their shoes. After his ego has gone bang at the slightest prod.
  15. If they are just going to pass it to Venus they might as well do it now and see if he can relight the fire in the remaining games. Mowbray threw the towel in with that first half v Derby ! All he's going to do between now and the end of the season is shrug his shoulders and tell us how great he thinks the players are, after blaming them since Feb for most things.
  16. Don't think he's engineered it this season to be fair although in the past his odd methods have clearly held us back, opinions vary as to why. He was found out several years ago in terms of being bull headed enough for a promotion drive. Most clubs have ups and downs in a season but the regular post Christmas hardly any wins in double figure games that he serves up are an obvious flaw in his methods. There's no hiding from it now and another obvious trait of his is to blame it ALL on the players.
  17. Very possible there is still an agency running this gaff for Vs via Waggot and Mowbray with the usual man in the middle. It would explain quite a few things like the old boys club, Boro connections and the untouchable yet never taking responsibility of a few of them.
  18. If i had to put my last quid on it i'd probably plump for things staying as they are and the messiah and co getting new deals. And a very underwhelming follow up to this lively season.
  19. They certainly didn't on Saturday, what they put in was the towel.
  20. It was odd that it took relegation to league 1 to provoke them into any kind of action it seemed like a penny had finally dropped. Been stuck in the slot again ever since though. Not defending their lack of action but it might not be far from the realms of reality that they were totally sold on Mowbrays 'journey' plan. Since then they've let him get on with it and provided within reason most things hes asked for and taken his advice on spending/not spending. Then he's run us to the wire with FFP again and the pandemic on top of it has let us where we are now. Ironically all that has left us with a better team but it's clear despite the injuries etc it's being miss used again in recent months. Biggest summer since Lambert left now approaching and god only knows which way it will go.
  21. No reason at all he can't start with Dack and Brereton on Saturday now. So what if one can't do more than 1 half or even if there is a need to take one off before. We are after the top 6 ffs not trying to nurse players so they can toddle off somewhere else in summer. He really could be the difference and surely trying to hang on in the second half is preferable to trying to get back into it.
  22. If we had nothing to play for in a dead rubber we'd go down there and stroll to a 2nil routine win. If his back was against the wall and people suspected he'd be sacked he'd have them revved up front foot and start Dack regardless of his rehab talk. We'd win 3 on the bounce. As it is i expect same old listless approach to the first half and something in the line up that we already know won't work. 1-1 get the deck chairs out.
