  1. That's exactly how he likes to operate.
  2. That's pretty horrendous when presented like that no wonder it's 4/5ths empty most games.
  3. Managed decline is the expertise at Ewood, whether intended or not it's something the directors and ownership are very good at.
  4. I think it was Fulham last season there was less than 2k walk ons including their lot ? So i'd say an average of 2k walk ons max before away fans unless the team is doing well and even that'll take time to warm up. Having sub 10k season ticket sales is a nightmare for Rovers crowds. First game of the season you'd always expect a few more turning up though.
  5. I nearly combust every time i read that although it's worse on other platforms but people on here should really know better. The ex manager told us it wouldn't happen and it didn't. Plenty here have explained it's all about the timing and how these fees get absorbed into the running costs. It would be a couple of million freed up in next summers budget at best. He isn't even a high earner supposedly so the wages freed up wouldn't cover a big incoming.
  6. They won't though that's the issue because it'll be 7 then 6000 and the prices will be £500 a pop to cover it. Steve and co will still collect their wages though.
  7. I'd be more interested to know what similar clubs to us were charging for mid table championship fare at that time, perhaps that would be a bit more relevant.
  8. The warning signs were there last season when we began with some of the lowest gates in 30 years. Only discounted ticket games and monumental U turns on the high Cat prices when the team were in form altered that. So basically now they've thrown their hands up in the air and it all rests on the team, do well and pull a few more in. Don't do anything and have low crowds but it's ok because we've milked that for all we can. Short term pain with zero aim of long term gain.
  9. For which he still gets his 250 thousand nicker regardless.
  10. Exactly He is the one accountable, the face of the company, the dude in the chair yet everyone has apparently to go grovelling in person.
  11. Their ceilings as good championship quality defenders with their best years ahead, just the types we need really.
  12. Overall ticket sales that was i think hence some of the desperately stupid match by match pricing last year early doors.
  13. He's put the price up again in advance of knowing it'll impact the sales so the budget is lower, he's been killing the season ticket base for years. Sell less but charge more to cover it is his standard policy since he turned up lets just hope plenty fancy turning up game by game !
  14. Waggot needs returning to sender.
  15. A slight change in system, difference in mentality by the coaching staff and players another year older and more experienced should all help. Any expectation of a repeat of the few crazy months of winning form being extended is way off the mark though. As long as we try and win every game that's all that matters.
  16. He's been there a while running the U23s i think.
  17. It will be if Vs don't want to do it they won't allow it regardless.
  18. So Mowbray warns we'd get nothing to spend from the Armstrong deal and there'll be nothing from the BBD sale. Yet suddenly there'd be money to bring in players he'd allegedly lined up if we'd sold Rothwell mid season ? Pull the other one, he's gone but he's still changing his narrative to suit from afar.
  19. Currently roaming the lands of twitter and facebook and adding a bit of spice to those swamps.
  20. The rumour that we were serious about Davies is encouraging as it shows we are after a decent centre half. Not keen on pouring that much money away just on a loan though so they should get their act together and pay good money for JPvH. That's proper investment that will produce a return and get some good years out of the player as well. They should look at it as a Brereton style move just in a different position. Push the fecking boat out and stop messing about, lets hope it doesn't take this regime several seasons to get players in this position.
  21. He really couldn't be arsed going for it he'd rather keep selling the owners the journey, give us all another contract and i'll develop a few more etc
  22. Faster moving game eh ? Inject that in to my veins.
  23. Tricky opener they are in the same 'bounce' as us. Rovers 1 QPR 1 11,335
  24. Is it worth bothering considering an official number has been put out ? It isn't going to change much now sadly.
