  1. Travis is excellent at what he does although he's capable of playing a bit more football probably but that isn't his job in this system. He just needs to cut back a bit on the silly needles fouls and handbags that prompts refs into blowing against the whole team all the time. This midfield is twice as competitive as any we've had in this league with the likes of tidier players like Evans and Holtby strolling around stealing wages.
  2. I think outside the prem we probably have an ST ceiling capability of 10k without cheap initiatives then there'll always be 2 or 3 thousand walk ons. So the target is or has to be get back to ten thousand season ticket holders and get the walk ons walking on every game.
  3. This is operation fill a quarter of the DE. Incidentally why was there a few dozen Forest fans scattered along the front of the lower tier the other night ?
  4. Including you when you were slagging Waggot sorry Maggot off constantly.... 🙂
  5. £50 quid a ticket we won't get near selling out and get the usual panning for it. Lets just chase that second spot with all we've got.
  6. Top potential but not ready for this Championship promotion gig yet.
  7. Fantastic news. Now get him some proper back up because we are done for without him.
  8. They don't use Gallagher as he could or should be used either which is puzzling. He came on the other night essentially as wide striker again. Hard to tell what was going on after a while because everybody is pilling forwards chasing the game but fact remains we don't get him and BBD into central positions attacking crosses. Same at Swansea so it was puzzling Mowbray saying we needed SG as there was good crosses flying across the box. Yet he'd have taken a wide player off to bring him on if available. It's these little things that make such a difference and our often missing from what actually happens on the pitch. Also we've improved on set pieces this season but my god don't get me started on free kicks. Might as well just kick them straight into touch and get ready for the goal kick, cut out the middle bit !
  9. Yes i wouldn't knock their following if it wasn't for the willy waving of some of them they have very short selective memories. So a club getting 12 thousand home fans and taking 1k plus away is indeed pound for pound better supported than them.
  10. Ewood has been so stale for so long that a bit of an old style blood and thunder atmosphere has people reaching new found levels of offence 🙄 I hated the result and the ref but i actually enjoyed it last night, i think last time some were that angry in the JW upper Kean was still flicking his tongue in the technical area.
  11. Nothing worse than billy big balls clubs like that whose fanbase is as fickle as anyone else's. They are a bit like Boro the Forest lot it's not long ago they had sub 1k following up here for midweek. Down there their ground has often had 10k empty seats on show but because their gates are always bigger than ours it gives them a divine right to take the piss. Conveniently ignoring the difference in population and catchment area ie 300 plus thousand and virtually a whole county to draw from. Is under two thousand really so impressive by them all things considered ?
  12. That guy is terrible and not just because it's easy to knock everything after a defeat. Constantly 'Get behind YOUR Blackburn Rovers' screeching at the top of his voice as if the crowd had been sat in silence. Last night it most definitely wasn't he sounds like he's addressing a primary school assembly.
  13. 100% this. When against 10 on Saturday he should have been moved forwards to have runs at them and try and get inside their ranks. Win free kicks etc instead we had wing backs and wide strikers getting crosses in to nobody and getting in each others way. Similarly when down to ten last night someone to run at them, hit them on the break and stretch them generally making up for the missing man. Rothwell was the man for that job but no we get the standard set of subs, sadly the first thing on TMs mind when it comes to this isn't tactical. It's just getting players on and involved where he can and hoping something drops.
  14. Because he'll be easy to replace for a couple of hundred grand or the flimsy fragile kid from the U23s......
  15. Our version of early bird would be getting them on sale in June.
  16. Indeed it is it's fine lines even though things aren't dropping at the moment we are still a really tough side to play against. Had we got one early v Swansea as we should have done i genuinely think we could have taken them apart first half. We just need to dig out one good result from somewhere quickly to keep the wheels on.
  17. One of NYambes main attributes compared to others is his sheer strength and iv'e seen nothing in Zeefuick to say he's better at anything. He's looked no better going forwards at all and certainly no better defensively although he's quick and competitive at least. Pretty obvious to me they had eyes on shunting Nyambe this window for a few quid and it hasn't happened. So now we have two guys almost identical and a manager who has to try and justify signing one of them. He ain't here to be left on the bench as back up that's for sure so he'll be in a different role again next match probably.
  18. We;ve already done it several times over this season so i'd say that IS our mentality we are better with our backs to the wall for long periods. Free flowing attacking football with some composure to pick teams apart really isn't our thing yet the past 2 games that's what its ended up being about. Ok, circumstances dictate but something tells me Mowbray is desperate for the fancy stuff but it's the muck and bullets stuff that has got us where we are.
  19. I saw Lenihen i think it was in deep conversation with Zeefuik just before the second half kicked off after they came back out. Looked like he was trying to get a point across then Zeefuik just strolled over towards the riverside chucked his bottle down, ignored the applause and wandered back. Ho looked lost most of the time last night, although he might turn out ok dropping Nyambe for him was the manager dropping a ball.
  20. So we'll have to sit deep and make it a non event then let their crowd get riled and they'll demand it going forwards. This is what i'm trying to say about digging in we've shown this season we can get a result out of a dogfight so lets keep it ugly again. As you say our possession and playing a higher line tends to play into the oppositions hands but nothing new there. It only seems to work for us if we score first which isn't happening at the moment but again it's nothing new. We'll never have a plan B all we do is end up with bodies all over the park where they shouldn't be. Lets be boring for a while and leave the onus on the opposition chasing games isn't our thing being frustrating and hitting on the counter is. so many times this season iv'e seen opposition fans say Blackburn are shit i can't believe they are up there, just after we've beaten them. That's where promotion is at.
  21. We need the old 'he's got 3 games' talk and a poll i reckon ! Usually when that happens and his back is at the wall we come out all guns blazing and we wallop someone. 😉
  22. With the amount of pubs and clubs closing, the price of things, the pressures of everyday living. Mental health crisis and the lack of general happiness around society and being told what to do left right and center then football becomes the outlet again. All this has happened before it's called social unrest and it all starts at the top with dictatorship Govts and unrealistic policies putting the squeeze on everyone.
