  1. We regularly get used by them through their chief stooge Nixon to flush out interest elsewhere.
  2. Not really because how long did it take them to set up the Euro scouting network ? Finally got it in place just as they knew Brexit would alter it. And what about this technical modern scouting system Mowbray blagged the owners into funding ? The one where they were installing screens in officeces and hiring people to watch players on them and draw up reports ? What happened to all that and what did it turn up ?
  3. Like i said before one whiff of Swaggos special coffee and even those trained to interrogate fall under his spell.
  4. No disrespect but i'm not sure why i keep seeing this pop up it's irrelevant right now. There'll be a small budget in place but they can't seem to find anybody they want that fits into it. If BBD is sold at any point from now on only his wages will be made available which probaly aren't that much. Any money for him will probably just go into balancing next seasons books. Whatever gets paid up front will disappear instantly into running costs as usual as will future payments. We might then get a few million available from it in next seasons budget but if the owners cut their input by the same amount there will be no headroom. That's how it works here now when they are using the FFP excuses...sorry guidelines.
  5. It also shouldn't be a pen pushing corporate suit CEO's place to decide on the likes of Lenihen that's for the football people to decide. Either he's trying to squirm out of him leaving or he was the one non too keen on giving him bigger offers when they should have done, 12 months ago.
  6. Lack of investment will eventually only lead one way. I include not retaining good players or being in a position to sell for the best fee as lack of investment also because that is what a lot of it boils down to. JDT has a huge task on his hands with this so called project.
  7. Only a Wigan fan could have winning league 1 down as a bigger achivement than finishing 8th in the Championship. When trying to justify why a player would choose to go there over staying at Rovers.
  8. But the pathway is there now whereas it wouldn't be if they'd re-signed Ryan for 3 years on ten grand a week. I don't agree with it you should retain your best players and build a team and system around those but that's not how it works here.
  9. Don't forget moving the popular family stand in the BBE upper to the JWL with a few flimsy excuses. ( now bushing kids in for free into the family stand he shut ) Closed the DE section to home fans thus making the atmosphere even worse until last seasons unexpected promotion half season tilt. If he didn't lose us several hundred regulars by doing those things then i'm a dutchman. The guy has done nothing but add to shrinking gates since he turned up.
  10. I genuinely think part of the reason for the reluctance to re-sign Nyambe on a bigger wage is the powers that be see RB as a pathway into the team. 'Create pathways' was a term Broughton used and i reckon that position is one they see as up for grabs. There is JRC who looks set to be the new Lowe (rated by club for some reason ) , Carter is back and there is Brown whose probably seen as back up. So imo they won't commit to a good championship wage there for Nyambe because they think they've got it covered. The fact we are losing our best right back is lost on them they aren't bothered about promotion it's all about the books and the pathways.
  11. The gospel is everyone who leaves it's all on them, all their fault Steve did everything he could. He must serve some f##### amazing coffee that fella.
  12. Nothing unusual i'm sure whoever he signs for will take that into account.
  13. He's training on his own isn't he ? He's hardly going to train with the team he's leaving i'm sure the new coach would be all for that. Why pay to cart him around Portugal and Scotland ?
  14. If Nyambes contract runs to the end of July he's probably just waiting for that to finish. Then he'll sign for Boro on treble his Rovers (low) wages. I really hope he chooses France though instead of those smug smoggites.
  15. Yes all the talk started last Jan and i don't recall hearing anything about a sell on % before then. Granted most of the arguments before then were was it 6 or 7 million and how much of it has been paid, alongside what a waste of money it was of course....
  16. I don't think he will because he'll have an idea what hes taken on otherwise he wouldn't keep saying Project. He'll know there is a very limited budget but i wouldn't be surprised if he has an escaple clause somewhere in his 3 year contract. He won't walk though it's not going to reflect very well on him before hes even seen what his squad can or can't do.
  17. Need to guard against a Conner Mahonney situation though. Rovers low balled him and there was a long stand off, eventually in come Bournemouth offering 4x his 2k offer. That was to go and play for their second string and go out on loan. Plus he got an apartment in a lush area and they sorted out a job for his Mrs. That's what you are up against if you piss about and these since (since Waggot) we have good form for that. The lad himself said he would have signed for 4 grand a week because he didn't want to leave. Rovers wouldn't budge over 2.5k.
  18. They have clubs struggling for money by the testes though in regards to this. Swoop in offer a couple of million down payment which covers the cost of the rearing and puts money back into the academy. Then offer a raft of add ons and sell ons for future income of more millions. Jonny the agent gets his cut he's happy, club bean counters are happy they've got money in, guarantee of more and haven't had to risk handing out an expensive long term deal. Player is happy he's got more money and a possible future at a big club sorted. Manager and fans are pissed off but they don't really matter once the wheels are turning.
  19. We follow the 'nobody is accountable' model.
  20. Oh aye Waggots coffee cup crew will be on pretty sharpish blaming the player.
  21. He'll end up on a sold / loaned back for a few years agreement probably.
  22. That's quite recent considering how long hes been here.
  23. I'm sure the talk at the time of the signing was it was a whopping fee but low wages and no add ons that's why they shelled it out in the first place. The talk of a sell on % to Forest only seems to have crept in recently.
  24. Don't condone Celtic on the rampage but dingles getting a taste of their own medicine sounds apt. You reap what you sow.
