  1. Funny how this only comes out now when everything is going well. Not long ago he was speaking to the owners through the press and acting like he didn't know what was happening. Nobody dare mention the invisible mans name or what he actually does. I'm glad he's doing well again because it means the club is but he can play the game can old Tone.
  2. Bitter lemon flavored ale ? It just had to be you.. 😂 Think i'd rather vape to be honest.
  3. If there's 2 thousand there it's still a great effort and hopefully there's some reward on the pitch.
  4. A lot of kids who probably would never have smoked at school are vaping so i' told. Because it's the cool thing to be doing so no wonder it's big business. Not good though you're still breathing in shite imo.
  5. Johnson being used as he has these days is probably having his best season with us. Been handy to bring on shoring things up and filling in at the back, agree on the experience line as well. We've lost a lot and you need some presence in the back ground who has been around a bit. He's always one of the first on the pitch congratulating the lads etc at the end of a game if he hasn't got on. Definitely one of TMs senior pro men these days and remember this is the new Mowbray also. The old one would've been giving him starts just to keep him happy.
  6. Please can we get in a backup keeper as well, red flags are there that TK will end up missing some games again. Nothing against Pears but he needs games elsewhere and we need a safer Pear to come in.
  7. That's what i was thinking in regards to Dack and i don't want to see the system altered just to fit him in. He's got to find a way to fit himself in but i reckon impact sub is the way to go when he's fit, for now. Quite a few times recently it's needed someone to come on and unlock or pick a good pass on the break. Thing is though we are doing ok as we are but killing teams off and getting a vital second goal is going to be needed as we enter the next phase. Great problem to have though and will take a bit of pressure off BBD.
  8. I thought Travis was excellent yesterday to be honest, again i think people are looking for something that you don't get at this level - great all round midfielders. He's a bitty player and that's not a criticism - he does a bit of everything and that's what this system needs. Breaks up play, short passes, the odd good forward pass, tackles, shithouses, leaves a foot in at times, commits the same niggly fouls we are usually on the receiving end of. He's like a lower level Sherwood for me although doesn't threaten the opposition box enough. Sadly although we'd all love one the days of midfield enforcers are gone. Having him though enables Rovers to play the way they do now imo. If we were still carrying Evans and loaning in the likes of Trybull and Holtby we wouldn't be playing this way, we'd be playing like the last 2 seasons 😶
  9. When a team loses at home they usually look to bounce back straight away so all this easy win and no excuse talk is a bit naive. This is the championship it has its own set of unpredictable rules so for me an early goal is essential otherwise another tricky night in store. Winnable game but we'll need to be at the races from the off and hopefully Diaz sees a bit more of the ball than yesterday. And hopefully something a bit more inventive than the predictable must get Gallagher on at all costs 60ish min sub !
  10. Since the Barnsley game the opposition sides have upped their tempo against us and gone for the physical approach. A lot of our success this season has been the intense worktate and desire so that won't have gone unoticed. Teams are upping the ante and it'll be like that for the rest of the season, so there'll be more games like yesterday than us rolling teams over now i expect. Something we have to get used to.
  11. Also repeatedly told us you need 100 million to compete for promotion ......😁 Now all we might need is a couple of million this window to have a real go at it. Come on Balaji you know it makes sense.
  12. I'd feel a lot better if they brought proper back up in just in case. He clearly has a few niggles bothering him so the wise thing to do would be to prepare.
  13. It seems a common trait with these young full backs now, Henley, Bell now this lad all have same issues. I'm sure Edun is more of a midfielder though.
  14. Edun is a tidy little player but doesn't convince as a left back in defensive terms. Today though i thought he had a decent enough game there although he wasn't against anyone looking to roast him.
  15. Yep never mind the chasing pack we just keep going after those above.
  16. No going back, just forwards now. Leave him at Derby.
  17. Great result that they are the types that keep you in the mix. Didn't get much together going forwards but defensively all over the park outstanding. Tommy K MOM for me just for the commanding of his box, how long since we've seen a keeper do that ? Needed him on form but really they never threatened that much despite the possession. A proper win i'd call that.
  18. No one in their right mind would advocate selling him now. Makes me laugh when i see the old 'i'd' take x amount now for y or z, it's not our money lol. We wouldn't see it and neither would the team i can't believe nothing has been learned yet. It just goes into the black hole on the balance sheet and we might, if madame gets out the right side of the bed, get a few million in summer. That's it ! Lets just put everything into keeping what we have now and having a real go at it, i'd prefer to keep BBD now till summer even if it costs 'us' 10 or 20 million. It might deliver the club 150 million.
  19. Seems a good signing lets hope it's a square peg for a square hole job.
  20. Hence the likes of Smallwood, Bennett, Evans, Mulgrew hanging on till the bitter end and holding us back. Not necessarily a smart way of doing things.
  21. RIP At a time when everyone involved at Ewood was viewed as pure evil he was more a comedy figure. He was what he was and always just came across as a nice well intentioned bloke who was several fathoms out of his depth. That wasn't his fault though.
  22. In the position we are in now it should be the best man for the job. Seeing as Nyambe has played his part in where we are it probably should still be him. If the lads from Scotland join now are we dropping Lenihan and Rothwell as well ?
  23. It's the longest recurring slight hamstring strain in football. Thank god Bennett left though otherwise it might be straining more often...
