  1. They've always had some cash turnstiles at the DW for pay on the day when some seats remain available.
  2. There will no doubt be 'advisors' breathing in the owners ears suggesting half this team is ripe to sell right now. Hopefully our CEO, manager and invisible middleman are pleading otherwise.
  3. Hes been getting too much grief because hes been expected to perform like the finished article, like a Prem standard wing back grinding away in the championship. He is a decent player who has improved since he broke through but his role has changed in that time. In terms of end product he's still lacking but i'd prefer him to be a good defender over a good deliverer. Similar things about end product have been aimed at Rothwell until this season when its just clicked. King was largely pants with his end game...until he stepped up a level in a better team. People need to give over writing off Nyambe it's clear for over 18 months him and the manager don't seem keen on one another for some reason. I doubt it's personal either it's just what they expect of each other on the pitch. It looks inevitable he'll leave for whatever reason but hopefully it's in summer and we have a decent 2nd half of the season out of him. Getting a few million for him now is unlikely to make much difference to the team at the min in terms of replacement.
  4. We aren't going to get 25k are we that's in the realms of fantasy. Got to be aiming for the 15-17k home fans bracket lets be sensible, that's achievable if the form continues. Small steps to bigger long term gains.
  5. I suspect there are no real funds to play with unless some are created so TM and co fancy a few mill from Nyambe. Probably replace him with a loan or free and maybe put the rest towards an improved deal for another of our lads ? At least that might be the company line trotted out.
  6. It's a vicious circle within football sadly, you have non league players told they have to have agents if they've any chance of progressing. Then they are handing over ten percent of their 50/100 quid a week, mostly for nothing. Yet the authorities continue to allow this blood sucking.
  7. Wasserman are into literally everything so if its them then given what you say there it wouldn't be surprising if they try and broker big wages. They need something to invest after all.
  8. All agency have one thing in common, pure greed i think the players themselves don't get much say. These parasites try and control everything.
  9. Not sure but Wasserman have been buying up other agencies so i wonder if that has anything to do with it. Can't be easy dealing with a big organization that has bundles of hugely paid talent on its books.
  10. Considering Wasserman also have BBD, Dack, Johnson to name a few it's a bit worrying.
  11. It's just down to Waggot and his pre set targets for matchday income, one cheap game followed by an expensive one to balance it. Said it a dozen times before but hes got to cover his 300k his wages are likely coming from matchday and commercial income. The 150 million pot at the end of the rainbow or the extra revenue from play off fixtures seems a bit lost on these lot. If we fall away they'll be floundering around near the end of the season cutting prices and moaning they've done all they can to get over 10k home fans again. The horse will have long bolted by then. Lets hope not !
  12. Don't forget the thousands locked out ! Or is that Burnley ? I'd get the two confused except Leeds sometimes nearly back up their claims, Dingles never do.
  13. Maybe we've been paying them too much and now they are asking for more it makes it unrealistic. You just never know with Rovers and their odd wage bill. I'd say a comfortable wage for established non marquee players is probably about ten grand a week.
  14. Nyambie spent two season being told to keep possession like the rest of them so no surprise he struggles a bit with releasing the ball quicker. If anything he tries too hard he needs to relax a bit but nobody can question his workrate. Plus the way we play it often means when he breaks down the right there is no center forward to aim for in the box. Also it's not that long ago he set up a goal but it's always been my concern that we ask a right back to be a main creative force. Get a winger in there and you'll get crosses.
  15. I think the real figures down the years will tell the story those ends there don't hold big numbers i don't think.
  16. I'm sure any contracts have promotion wage rises included just like relegation reductions. Also don't forget the big one off bonuses allegedly being dangled.
  17. We've not had over 2k ish there since Souness was here i reckon.
  18. Seems a bit of a coincidence that some of the longer term Nyambie bashers are ones who claim 'sauces' close to the club. Of course though we know whenever a player leaves Rovers it's down to no one but themselves !
  19. I don't think they were setting out for where we are now for one min, i;m not saying it's a fluke but i'd wager its surprised everybody. Imo we were gearing up for another mid table plod and rotation policy involving the likes of Buckley, Poveda, Clarkson and Khadra etc. So in a normal Rovers season he'd have had a lot more time whether he was good bad or indifferent. Thankfully this squad and its natural leaders had other ideas.
  20. Some muppets are still calling them poor crowds, i really do wonder at times about the grasp of reality of some of our lot. Still the crowds getting applauded is better than back in the day when 4 reasonably packed terraces got announced as 10 or 12k. To the cries of '#### ###' from the BBE ! Bill Fox knew how to pinch a penny or two from Mrs T.
  21. Cole and Rhodes - 8 million a piece i think. It was more in the Cicco Grabbi 6.75 million range i think, which was worrying at the time. Big credit to the lad for turning it around ( especially for someone so undone by mythical abuse ). Maybe big Ben was actually just a little bit peeved at himself knowing be could do better than he was showing. Now he is and he looks very happy as are the fans because we finally have a c7 million quid player.
  22. Its kind of proved my point that BB was rated higher value wise and it wasn't surprising fans were disappointed with what they saw. Not that it matters now.
  23. Not really, i think he cost Liverpool considerably less initially although i'll stand corrected.
  24. How old was Harvey Elliot ? To expect a bit more from a 19 year old with about 30 championship appearances, that prompted a club to agree a 7 million pound deal isn't unreasonable in the slightest. To expect him to be consistently great is but then nobody did really did they history is just being rewritten now to suit.
