  1. I want to know what the heavyweight backing is alleged to be. Waggot, Balaji, the kid ?
  2. Yep if he decides to not take something to his boss because he presumes he won't like it, or has been told not to bother him over certain matters. Then that very much means he's making big decisions. Besides Mowbray himself went on record as saying even he after 5 years wasn't sure who actually called the shots.
  3. You're going to have to start taking minutes for all these meetings you have these days.
  4. So it looks like a straight shoot out between foreign coach or cheaper inexperienced one, with likes of Hughton and Grayson in reserve. A bit like the player A/B/C list that used to get banded about. And we know which one we ended up shopping from.
  5. Likes of Carav aren't coming here for a bag of washers and no budget if you want them you have to pay them and give them a bit to work with. Really though we aren't serious about these types at all it is and always has been just window dressing.
  6. I detest them but i have my reasons, many do but others love to love them for some reason. British media is Liverpool obsessed, probably because most support them.
  7. Main issue is Ferguson etc not only have no managerial experience but they don't know the championship either. That can work one of two ways i suppose.
  8. Because they'd rather have toe the liners in situ who'll put up with nonsense or no communication and be told what to do when necessary. Don't rock the boat is the ultimate requirement and all but Lambert fit that and he bailed out before he fell out with them.
  9. I think we all know how and why he ended up here but paying a fee for him as well is another reason i'm glad Mowbray didn't get a new contract. There's been a constant pipeline for ex Boro being well looked after here so hopefully that's done now in favour of a little more sense.
  10. Very much doubt Waggot would be walking away from the job and wages here without a pay off. It would be nice though just to imagine for a second that there is someone in there willing to stand up and say NO. And if they insist yes then say if you think i'm standing there in front of fans taking flak for you for this then you've another thing coming. Nobody does that Ewood though aside from managers being front of house because everyone upstairs hides.
  11. Fair play to him i say but the guy needs to be fighting this non Usyk fight is getting pathetic now. On top of Fury pretending to retire again so he can arse around all summer and wait to see what happens. Every respect in the world for these guys getting in the ring and their talents but this is the laziest biggest cherry picking HW era ever. Absolute farce to compare these lot to some of the great champions of the past.
  12. Part of me suspects this is the route they were always going to go down and what those at the club will be pushing for. Not my preferred way right now i'd love them to stump up and let someone like Carlo or Farke have a go. I think it's an opportunity not to be missed right now. Smart money would go on another TM type or young coach though and Manning looks a decent fit for the job.
  13. The odds are perfect going off previous let field appointments and they always wanted this type of coach. I think they only went down the experienced route out of sheer desperation. One to watch for sure.
  14. You mentioned him more than once in your defense of Mowbray, don't be back tracking now big man stick to your guns. You've given other people enough stick.
  15. I think there is a lot of window dressing going on in the media. Some are surely pushing hard for this kind of appointment and wouldn't be surprised if it wins the day. Young, cheaper and fits in with some existing staff and a Sporting Director set up.
  16. The only 'scoop' any LT writer over the last decade or so knows is the one that serves their ice cream on a Sunday.
  17. Nah i'm not one of the faux itk gang however i do know you've spent the last 12 months trumpeting Phil Brown be careful what you wish for. Just thought i'd ask for an update.
  18. Well no he didn't did he but he did cost the game like David did on several occasions. Difference is he saved many points as well and it was always clear he would be class given the right coaching and management. It's clear Pears is another Steele in the waiting at best but i'm just saying it goes with the turf if you have young back up keepers.
