  1. I'd believe Brain Clough and Sir Alf Ramsey have been interviewed before i'll believe those 2 have had genuine talks. It's all bollocks they've used us to flush out other better interest and we've used their names for a bit of publicity. Shame on the reporters alluding to these mythical talks without providing anything whatsoever to back it up.
  2. As predicted it's the same sorry approach they've done with players. A list - never happening but we'll window dress anyway. B list - some tired of waiting so moved on, others still belong to clubs and we were never ever going there either. C list - roll up roll up, first one to pitch themselves at the right price the job is yours.
  3. I repeat we still have adverts on buses driving around town and East Lancs with ST adverts on .......from 2019.
  4. So they are panicking and changing their minds again like they did on some of the ludicrous matchday prices last season ? Instead of just doing it right in the first place.
  5. Didn't someone say it was the Youth team budget they were signed from.
  6. If you're spending your last quid don't put it on either it'll be someone else by this time tomorrow.
  7. Unsworth would be cheaper than Ferguson probably so we are finally in the C list territory we know so well.
  8. He's staying out of it he's got to get home safe to his wife and kids.
  9. Whether Duncan has or hasn't the main theme to this is Everton look like they finally want him moving on. So he hasn't been sourced by our lot he's being pushed by another lot. Avoid.
  10. Yes philosophies implemented by managers who are known to play, coach and recruit that way. Compare and contrast to what was going on here and we were always a million miles away because the guy in charge was constantly in 2 minds. I don't think Wagner would turn our lot into Huddersfield mk2 overnight but he might do it in 2 or 3 seasons.
  11. We nearly had that last season and it was entertaining in a dramatic all hands to the pump kind of way. Tired of saying it but these who crave great football need to step up and show us a non Prem/Parachute influenced squad who've 'footballed' their way out of this league. Styles make fights as they say in boxing, in football we need a style that fits the squad, division, club image and ultimate objective. We had it for half of last season, you can stick possession and fancy interchanges where the sun don't shine.
  12. Yeah people are a bit quick to throw out the drunken Duncan and thug assumptions. That was a long time ago and hes carved out a career away from playing so he should be good with young players. Besides anybody who beats up thieving scum is ok with me it's not as if he's been running round getting knicked for DD or beating up his mrs. Big issue though is zero championship management experience, or lge 1 or anywhere else. This is an unforgiving league where you are found out very quickly.
  13. Never know what goes on inside a club but over the last season it's never struck me as the players that were the problem. They've always grafted and pulled for each other then all of a sudden it looked like they suddenly stopped believing in themselves. The issue were further up the food chain imo.
  14. He wouldn't be pushing it too the club though he'd be pushing it to the owners or their reps. Besides he didn't say he hadn't offered it.
  15. He tried to take the credit but if dots are joined he came via the usual route.
  16. I suspect old pals acts at work again here. Lampard and Ferguson are to big characters so i reckon the club or someone there is looking to let him go. Outrage if they sack him but he's an elephant in the room for Lampard. Oh look Blackburn are looking for a manager and a guy close to both camps is a pal of big Dunc. Pick up the phone and make him sound like he's everything Venkys have ever wanted, meanwhile briefing Duncan on what he needs to do/say. Myers normally spouts everything Rovers do but i think hes been a bit quiet on this....go figure. Surely they wouldn't be daft enough give him the Sporting Director role as well....would they...
  17. And he'll work with what's left of the staff here apart from maybe his own number 2. Wouldn't be surprised if the potential of him setting up loans of some of Evertons kids as well might swing it. Cheap manager who can bring in several cheap squad fillers as well. That'll appeal greatly to Waggot, Venkys and co.
  18. But a lot of people wanted those dice rolled and what we are seeing now is the gamble. That's the name of the game and we know it won't land on double 6. We just pray it's better than double 3 for once.
  19. Not beyond the realms of possibility Dyche and a few other available names have sounded out the position to see what is on offer at least. They know the setup here and they know Rovers is capable of doing better plus they know how wealthy the ownership is. So a quick look to see what might be available is a no brainer but far away from either side actually pursuing anything.
  20. There's definitely an element of the betting markets involved the only person so driven by stating the odds can be a bookie/ex bookie.
