RIP At a time when everyone involved at Ewood was viewed as pure evil he was more a comedy figure. He was what he was and always just came across as a nice well intentioned bloke who was several fathoms out of his depth. That wasn't his fault though.

In the position we are in now it should be the best man for the job. Seeing as Nyambe has played his part in where we are it probably should still be him. If the lads from Scotland join now are we dropping Lenihan and Rothwell as well ? -

It's the longest recurring slight hamstring strain in football. Thank god Bennett left though otherwise it might be straining more often... -
Someone mentioned trying to get a fee or compen for him or something ? Can't see anyone buying him now it was all a bit cosy this one considering he's looked a bit of a lost cause since he first signed permanent.
-
And keeping him on after he'd flopped with the reward of a contract extension.
-
He's another very lucky ex Boro boy whose been looked after here above and beyond what should normally happen.

Frightening and stupid if you ask me. Too many experts who become experts before they actually know anything at all they just have the right badges. -

I agree but there doesn't seem many of those about these days that will sit there for less than 10k pwk. They had mentioned sorting out a loan for Pears before Tommy K got his strain and Pears did ok. Now though i'd suggest would be a really god time for Tony to do the best for his mates boy and farm him out. His stock won't be too high after Saturday now though so takers with game time on offer might be harder to come by. -

I fear with this being behind closed doors won't suit our team and it'll also afford TM to do something odd with his selection. Had Gallagher been fit he'd have been a shoe in to start on the right again. Tricky game this i hope they approach it in the right fashion and don't start setting out just to stop the opposition again. Not confident about this one for some reason but i'll keep the faith. Cardiff 1 Rovers 1 -
Did really well for Rovers very comfortable but we were playing a slow very possession based game.

This is why we have to pray we get some quality in so when the inevitable starts there's still enough about the squad to keep getting results. -
I hope Wigan get kicked off the pitch at Stoke. Remind me to buy Ainsley a pint we've missed out on nothing here 😂

Young keepers make mistakes it's all part of the learning curve that's why they should be playing week in week in out somewhere else lower down to learn their trade. It did Raya no favours here sat on the bench every week for a few seasons instead of being loaned out. Pears has shown good and bad attributes in his brief stints but that's pretty much standard for an inexperienced average keeper. It is however very worrying when you see one completely lose his head when hes put under a bit of pressure the way he did yesterday. Jake Kean springs to mind, a couple of Brad like performances followed by inexplicable wobbles that finished his first team career here. Yesterday, a blip or a big red flag ? -

See it all the time it happened at Wolves once the were giving it the c'mon all game from yards of seats away to blokes 2 or 3 times their age. Outside afterwards about 3 of them had a go when the proper thugs came after them the rest scattered like flies. Absolute mugs they are pretty much opposite to the old Rovers little firm who kept quiet but didn't run. Not that i'm condoning it. -

I doubt they were ever looking at having to break the salary cap for Nyambe. Or even match it that's just another urban myth thats been chucked around. The lad is probably on 5k pwk or less and i think if he was asking for 15/20 grand they'd have bounced him through the door way before now. -

Cheap tickets = a day out on the vodka and charlie for Blackburns unwashed they aren't there to support 'their' team. Seen it there before and what's laughable is seeing them run away from a dozen Wigan fans outside. Sorry did i say laughable, i meant embarrassing. -

Tony had a free pass from me today but you always worry something like this is always bubbling under the surface. Today was reminiscent of many league matches and seasons in the recent past. Hopefully past lessons are learned and today has acted as a stark reminder of what not to be doing. -

Quite poor today that but i wasn't really expecting anything else and for me Diaz and Travis would've been the first ones i rested. Wigan as per usual leaving a foot or shoulder in every challenge yet Rovers get bookings. Heavy pitch, rough house team, Wigan is a shithole who only get excited when Blackburn are in town. Not sure why a keeper needs resting especially when hes just come back but lets pray the number 1 is in for the rest of the season. Pears was everything i feared he would be before he had his good stint as stand in in the league. Just goes to show how well protected he was. He should be out on loan now lower down he needs regular games to iron out that nonsense. Overal though not bothered we've gone out i think a late losing goal is better than chugging around another 30 mins. I hope Mowbray has got some of his tinkering out his system as well. Anything other than a return to the reliable starting line up will come under heavy scrutiny. We looked knackered again today which is a worry. -

Incredibly replaceable ? By who ? I struggle to recall a right back coming through the ranks with as much raw ability as Ryan. Who is replacing him now who we wouldn't have to pay a fee for or would be wanting 10k pwk ? The manager has already said he thinks he'll continue to improve. Some keep citing Pickering as an example for 500k and that's fair enough until we factor in he was replacing Bell. That's like replacing a 25 watt lightbuld with a 50 watt one, you instantly see the difference. What iv'e found odd in this thread is the people who stick the boot into him so easily because he isn't a right sided Ashley Cole. -

There'll be 4 changes at least i'd wager. Unbelievable really not long ago it seemed like that was standard every few games ! -

Didn't Waggot allegedly say one thing to one person and the complete opposite to someone else ? Just lip service at the end of the day.
