  1. 'Could have been some...' 😂 Why do people swallow this crap there either is or isn't and if he can only say 'could be' then 99% nailed on he's making it up. He doesn't actually know and he's admitted it right there.
  2. Magloire is with the same agent who's been around for years and Butterworth i think is with another large one who have quite a few in here. Just goes to show somebody (Suhail probably) operates above the manager with agents. That's why i fear a young pliable coach slotting in whilst he's given what he's told to use.
  3. But he'd admired Tony's work for years, obviously getting sacked by Boro and Coventry ranked highly in the selection process.
  4. He wasn't bad at all in terms of graft although there was more goal threat in a road cone. I remember him linking up well with Rhodes a few times and he made a career for himself after all. Lost all respect for him now though playing the victim having cheap digs he rarely got any stick. Not beyond anybody else who wasn't that good anyway and he was never more than a spare part here. Obviously he must've read social media at the time and taken his opinions off that. Moaning about a player of his calibre is hardly a stick to beat people with delusions of 1995 with. As always with these under achievers like Mowbray as well it's an easy insult to chuck at Rovers support.
  5. Wasn't Brown involved in some sort of X video thing ? Maybe someone should ask him about that, guy is just another of footballs many knobs. Been fortunate enough to earn a living out of it for a while and very fortunate to play for a club who 'still think it's 95'. Only thing he's known for outside of Doncaster is these podcasts, glad hes found some relevance finally. Useless t##t 🙂
  6. Phil Moulton was kung fu panda and designated driver and Kean security man was he not ?
  7. It's a fair point as someone coming might say have a regular number 2 but no bibs and cones man or he might have those 2 types coming with him but no keeper coach. The worry though is they are looking for just a guy to slot in with the regular staff, like Berg say. That really isn't shaking things up enough and would point to a young cheap puppet type again.
  8. There's a lot of expectation building on this lad already. I'd rather see him go quietly on loan somewhere for 6 months getting games then see how it goes. People get carried away too easily similar things were said about Lowe, Henley was highly rated when young. And of course for those who remember Marlon Broomes was the next big thing for a long time. Lets give him time to develop.
  9. I fear that will be exactly the input he has into the next appointment.
  10. It would be great if he could slot in Van Heckes position now although i wouldn't expect him to be as good. If he can defend though and has a bit of strength he should be ok. I feel our luck will run out at some point getting in these quality defensive loanees.
  11. I think at some point in the past year or so hes been expecting the sack and they've been waiting for him to say i'm going. But they'd no intention of paying off his full whack, considering his stock was high when he got his contract extension it was probably watertight. He was never going to just walk away knowing this and was waiting for some offer of pay off. Result was a stalemate then they cut his budget again in summer and told him kids, frees and loans only. To be fair he rolled his sleeves up and got on with it and probably thought he'd then get a new deal. So we go from stalemate to disillusion, sulking then full on toys out the pram. I'm not saying its right but after he played them along for a few seasons they've played him like a fiddle at the end. So no new contract despite a few opinions he earned the right but he can walk away unsacked, the victim and unscathed. They've saved any pay off and now get to indulge in being really confused again.
  12. Tony wants his as a souvenir for the best job hes ever had. Venus is just having DOF printed under his then re-attached in a space next to Waggots slot.
  13. Didn't he end up in legal action with the club the same as Berg and Shaw after him ? Either way he got his pay off.
  14. Keep the old coaching team and slot in a 35-1 shot It's cost cutting again by Waggot and it's coming....
  15. Or the ex Kentaro offices in Switzerland AKA VH group European headquarters.
  16. Initial talks for a manager or interviews don't usually take place at a training center or even the ground. So anyone who has eyes down there passing on 'nothing happening today' isn't exactly in the loop so to speak.
  17. Seen Pears for the U23s and he was quite decent in terms of shot stopping and commanding the back 4, constantly barking out orders. You could tell though from a couple he let in his positioning wasn't as good as it should be so there are obvious flaws you don't want in the first team. Needs loaning out for games lower down and someone else for no 2 this season.
  18. Can we look at second tier only win percentages ?
  19. I don't think they could pitch him well to the owners anyway. Look at Coyle, right agency, teetotal locally based family man, uber positive to point of delusion, allegedly quite religious and a distant Prem promotion on his cv, desperate. Mowbray, teetotal, possibly a bit religious, family man, dour but says all the right things and journeys and the club, a distant promotion and desperate for work. Ainsworth, rock band looks, probably not teetotal or religious, actually in a rock band, no Prem on his cv, not desperate. Now he'd probably get on with big Barry but they'd not get it passed Mrs D and husband i don't think.
  20. I mentioned about Ainsworth on this ages ago i just don't reckon he fancies it back oop north.
  21. Selling Carter for 500k would be yet another poor decision. If he in't in or around the team then loan him out again in Jan he only signed a new deal not that long ago.
  22. That's a great point. It's equally as frustrating when managers don't arm themselves with quality assistants and coaches instead of the jobs for mates route. I often felt Mowbray was just lacking a good pro active coach alongside him but his ego would never handle that. It's a shame really as some of the most successful guys put together the best coaching team they can for the job.
