  1. This will finish 1 - 3 I reckon. The excuses will be long and varied today. And totally absolving of the manager of course.
  2. Something tells me it's not only the manager who speaks to India through the TV
  3. I don't he can be called an awful manager in the same breath as linking him back here, given the truly awful ones we've mostly had. Fact is he was just the right fit at the right time. Like Souness was before him before his shelf life expired. Mowbray has been similar but more in an off pitch way than on it. We are now where we were again when we got Souness in and Hughes and Sam. Change desperately needed to drive it forward rather than just fight fires. I'd give Hughes another go tomorrow.
  4. Just what the hell do these lot do on the training field in terms of defense ? It's basic stuff every time it's pathetic now. And looking at a defence with 3 out of a back four still who've struggled for years is again pathetic. The defensive pool needed a complete and utter overhaul. That means getting fucking rid of the weak links instead of just saying oh it's ok they'll be good back up. Doesn't happen in Mowbray world it's an old pals club.
  5. The defence still resembles the one that's struggled for Mowbrays entire reign and now we have yet another rookie in the goal. The 2nd keeper spot looks weaker than when Lutweiler was here i hope the judgement in another jobs for a mate comes good. Teams been written off already so this is just the type of game we'll win now hopefully.
  6. Connery RIP Moore Craig The rest are irrelevant when it comes to Bond.
  7. David Hayes WWF style advertising campaign has won you over then ? Talks more twaddle than TM on a bad day.
  8. Depends what form a full lockdown takes on this time i suppose.
  9. Seems Mowbray is so blind to it he's now rating the cock ups out of 10. Del's was a 5 he just misjudged it but Barry's was only a 3 because it clipped his heel.
  10. Isolating because they 'might' have come into contact with someone who's had it or symptoms ? Can't run football like this for a season it's farcical, nearly as farcical as the real world. Speaking of that you'd think they'd lockdown certain clubs who have a few tested positive or showing symptoms. Lockdown 2 on its way soon guaranteed. This season will turn into a pantomime way before it ends.....about next December.
  11. Championship is a mad place but there's certainly some entertainment on offer so far this season.
  12. If it wasn't for those pesky kids making their mistakes i'd be top of the league, no idea why people blame me i'm only the manager.
  13. Isn't that pretty much what i said though ? It is straightforwards until he gets hold of it then it gets turned upside down. He did the same with Samuel and yes Antonsen but it worked to decent effect in league 1. To still be trying it years later a league above when it rarely works is stubborn at best and naive at worst. So the only conclussion to be drawn is it's just for the sake of getting your 5 million pound high wage earner involved regularly.
  14. The issue is the scrapping of the mandatory twice a week testing, why in gods name has that happened ? Apart from the usual penny pinching and EFL incompetence of course but how can they or us actually moan when there's only half arsed regulations ?
  15. The right sided forward role is Mowbrays 'keep em involved' position. At times he's had a case to stick people there because there hasn't been a lot of options. There are several now so like the persistence of plonking Evans back in every opportunity to just sit there and hope it works this one also needs chucking in the bin. Gally on up front or not at all, then hold your hands up when questioned on it by fans, media or Pune and say well i may have backed the wrong horse there ! Never going to happen of course so on we plod, shrugging our shoulders as we go.
  16. Eh ? If you want promotion then it's not the time to be experimenting with rookie keepers. Didn't the Raya and Walton experiences add to that opinion ? The new keeper comes in being older and more experienced albeit in a different league but he looks steadier so far than the pair of them. They were highly rated rookies at that but the two new ones are what you'd probably best describe as cheap back up. We want quality fighting it out all over the park so why not in the goals is it so outrageous to expect a solid back up keeper ? I don't really care a jot about players feelings either.
  17. You obviously missed where Mowbray said he didn't expect Pears to be involved much this season. Sounded like he wasn't being thought of as a number 2 yet. You also omitted we've been linked with a few other older keepers recently as well. Nobody is saying anybody has done anything wrong but if you can't fathom that those 2 might struggle badly, given their lack of experience and were probably not signed to be near first team action much this season then that's your problem.
  18. We should be looking for a free agent centre back with a bit of championship experience even if it's a short term deal. Forget luxuries like Downing now, another keeper for no 2 should come before him if nothing else.
  19. I really don't see why the rule of twice weekly testing of players has been removed although no doubt it is down to money. So much for all the blubbering on about players welfare.
  20. No reason to assume they won't change tack again at some point in the future. First few years it was all young coach with potential and after they got tired of being let down with that they turned to 'experienced guy with a promotion' on his cv. Next change might just be either foreign coach with good credential or perish the thought somebody actually with something relevant in the last few years. That might take poaching and compen though. What really needs to happen is for the penny to finally drop and realize their requirements do make sense but the people they rely on to supply these managers are the dogs arse not its bollocks !
  21. Can't see anything here i think we are there for the taking at the back unless we go and completely try and shut up shop. The keeper situation perhaps isn't really as rosy as it looked on first glance a few weeks ago. TM said he'd no intention yet to throw Pears in so basically he's saying we have no NO 2 !!! Swans 3 Rovers 2
  22. Christ we aren't back to Mowbray once got promoted to the Prem again are we ? I wish it would be dropped from judging his last DECADE or more. It doesn't stack up to the present situation here and never did.
  23. Well the WBC are on about creating a division between cruiser & HW with a 16 stone limit. Daftest thing iv'e ever heard but no surprise it's gone crazy. At this rate the WBO will end up the most credible organization and that's saying something. In WBCs case i'm sure it's aimed at re-establishing their pet Wilder after they carried him as long as they could ! Keep him out of Fury and Joshuas reach and a few others.
  24. Is he on the books of HSH ?
  25. It certainly wouldn't be Waggot although he might be asked to recommend. Just to window dress. The boys at HSH or whatever it is called who've brought in the last God knows how many would be on the case Why you might ask, why indeed. Meanwhile what's the shadow man up to these days ?
