Bristol City (H) - Saturday 14th March (3pm KO)

He's already 300k down in his projections and this game along with PKE is their blue ribbon tie in terms of money. There'll be no summer bonus for him but the Waggot tax might go up ? -
FFP will get the blame if there's a summer fire sale.....

It's simply called accommodating your 5 million pound marquee signing. The lad will graft so he doubles up on that side, perhaps they should try him in the centre of defence they might strike lucky ! -

Agreed but I reckon there'll be a lot more needs doing to it before long. A complete revamp is probably needed and that'll cost. Drop in the ocean for Venkys but people never seem keen on getting them to spend on essentials. More likely buy a few more drones to film training ! -

I think he'd close it before going to all those lengths. The Leeds in the Riverside might become reality before long if this Mon stays in charge of all that. -
He is but like on Sunday he's ok going forward in space so that clouds the judgement a bit I suppose. Defencively he's crap just so easy to get round or past. He could've cost a couple before Derby got their first. Bennett at least has the excuse that's not his position. Like Samuel and o e or two others when the opportunity arises because their deals are nearly done they simply must be moved on. It's a chance to upgrade anything else is going over old ground with tried and tested not good enough for where we want to be. That's the thing though, just where do those making the decisions want to be ? Upgrade whenever you can or tread water forever.

If someone advised them that they'd potentially turn a profit on them they'd have them installed. -
Josh King has done ok in fits and starts, ironic how him and Carney were 2 here not used properly.

I've said all along honest T is a crafty old sod he knows how to play to his audience although i'm convinced he really believes what he says, in a i'm trying to convince myself kind of way. No wonder the Vs love him.

Poor form if it is i'm certain some of our lot would give over the rest of the ground to away fans as long as five thousand could sit silently in the BBE. I like the cup semi type atmospheres that some of these games throw up occasionally but our lot only respond these days if the team is winning. It's a horrible experience when the other lot are having a field day in one end though.

The targets Waggot has set them to cover his 300k over estimate for season tickets probably.
-
Quality on the ball but doesn't make enough of his presence felt at either end far too casual. Won't now be helped by wanting to get through season unscathed for a big move. He's done decent for us probably better than i expected but would much rather we'd signed our own bog standard blood and guts championship defender.
-
The marketing team have targets to hit that's all it is about not the home fans.

Why not clear off instead we've heard it all before, put your tiddler away you're from an area of 1 million people and if you weren't doing well would only need half the DE zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Must be down to the virus they haven't shifted many yet they usually travel well up here when they are doing ok. Expecting behind closed doors maybe ? -

This should be the reaction game when we've had one so poor we at least usually get one where a lightbulb goes off and he goes back to basics. BB will be binned again until 15 mins before the end whatever the score, the revolving right side will probably see Samuels name out the hat and maybe AA up top. Team spirit will win the day after either Bell or Bennett have cost us another goal somehow. Rovers 2 City 1 -
You have to create a berth for captain every now and then !!! That type of thing in general goes hand in hand with him. When something works he'll only let it go so far before he fiddles with it again and when that doesn't work he keeps trying it till it does. Wouldn't be surprised if Gallagher on the wing and Armstrong up top have similar stats. Also just how many games have been turned around or a point gained by throwing on Brereton ? I don't get why people don't see such things holding us back sometimes, yes he does stuff that works obviously but why not stick to it where possible. And improve the constant proven weak areas when there is opportunity ?

A simple system on Sunday might still not have yielded a point or three but it probably wouldn't have resulted in that shambolic first half either. Trying to find something to shoehorn his signings in at this stage of the season when we've been doing ok as we were is symptomatic of Mowbray. Try and fathom the unfathomable, not many average managers capable of that or consistently making poor signings look even worse than they are. Neither Gallagher nor Brereton could be faulted for effort in that game but it's no wonder they often end up with their heads down after an appearance or two. It's like going in to work and asking the ditch digger to lay the bricks for a day and the brickie to go and wire the electrics, it just wouldn't happen. It shouldn't on that pitch when you've paid big money for certain types of players.

As always i suspect he's the fly in the ointment or however it can be described. He has power, he's in the middle, he's ex of those mentioned also. And he probably knows naff all about football or players just investments and balance sheets, oh and chicken feed ! -

The true acid test has yet to come but unless they change tack it'll be the same script he'll learn the hard way. I'm of half a mind thinking i'd rather have him in charge of recruiting a new boss than the other channels unless he's on their books as well. -
Cue another total crap following up the road at Wiggin.

Don't know how many times it needs pointing out how managers are installed at Ewood before the penny will drop. If or when TM leaves be it for his own reasons, better offer, sacked, retires or whatever the next gaffer will be appointed same as all the others by the same people. No point keep bothering about what if all the time because it will happen at some point so we'll have to deal with it again sooner or later. The main thing for me about now or the end of the season is there is a decent squad and foundations in place to which the lions share of credit goes to TM obviously. So we are in a position of strength compared to last time and compared to sacking someone if you've sold a few players and lost the first ten games of a season. So the next man has something to build off straight away and if he makes a pigs ear of it there's enough there for it not to be a Coylesqe style disaster. This project fear has to be put to bed otherwise give Mowbray a contract from now until he's 66 and be done with it ! -
I do but get what you're saying i just think we are a bit too powderpuff and lacking in the physical stuff that catches us out time and again. Often later in games and of course a serious lack flair up the other end and on the bench which adds to the one dimensional theory. The coaches here are nothing if they aren't conservative later in games. Contrast that to Derby yesterday they came out at 2-0 up after half time and went for it to try and kill the game off. If that was us home or away we'd be tapping it around slowly trying to keep ball then the shut up shop subs or getting legs on to give them a run would take place. Followed by conceding !
-
Well we are constantly told by the manager what a great spirit these lot have and by players saying they're all in it together and they'd run through walls for the boss. There's been plenty evidence of that as well to be fair and yesterday if we'd pinched one back it would have been a grandstand finish. Considering all that though it seems to me they follow the managers instructions pretty much to the letter so make of that what you will.

More than once people were howling for someone, Gallagher in particular in the 2nd half to make some kind of attempt to get a head to things. Absolute ponces some of these lads.
