Thyrys has really gone into his shell, and I’m left wondering if there are off-field issues affecting his performances. He used to play with a big smile on his face, now he seems miserable and not playing with an ounce of the enthusiasm of his first two seasons. Either that or he’s had his head turned by agents, and is in a sulk because he didn’t get a move this summer.

My view is that the team need supporting to the hilt while the game is going on. Anything that detracts from this doesn’t help the players at all.

Well this topic has died a quick death as the hoped for bankruptcy of Venkys and the jailing of the family has failed to materialise. No point wasting energy on being angry, they ain’t going anywhere. Nearly every football clubs’ fans dislike their owners, we’re no different. In my memory, Jack Walker is the only owner Rovers’ fans have ever liked.

For me a good season. We’ve missed the playoffs on GD, had two great cup runs in which we’ve beaten PL teams and had some bad luck in the last few games. I will be gutted if JDT leaves because, in a first season in English football, he has done a remarkably good job with limited resources.

Excellent achievement for Gary Bowyer in his first season in Scottish football as manager of Dundee FC. Champions after beating Owen Coyle’s Queens Park in the title decider tonight in an 8 goal thriller. He’ll be pitting his wits against Celtic and Rangers next season. Well done, Gary.

We’re jinxed with teams who’ve got a newly appointed manager for their first game. Good appointment for QPR, Ainsworth was well liked as a player there.

I would much rather have people like Greg Broughton involved in running the club than the likes of Steve Waggot and Ian Sylvester. The very fact that he has got a number of our excellent youngsters to sign long term contracts and is developing the recruitment team shows that he knows what he is doing. He’ll do for me.

Surely the person responsible for this shit show is the chief executive, aka S. Waggot. Is it not his job to make sure that the admin side of the club is armed with the full details of how things are run? One of the issues in recent games has been the complete lack of goals from BBD and Dacky. The mood would be very different if those two hadn’t been firing blanks.

I have complete admiration for both teams, who produced a brilliant game of football after a gruelling month long tournament. The falsehood that only teams of a Latin temperament push the boundaries of what is perceived to be cheating is a load of garbage. We see diving and feigning injury in every PL game, Ferguson’s United were masters it and Don Revie’s Leeds were the doyens of the dark arts in football. If England had a bit more devilment about them, they’d maybe win a tournament. Argentina for the first 80 minutes today were excellent, and fully deserved to win the WC.

What a fantastic game of football. This is why we love the game. The pressure on these players in front of billions of people and they can produce drama like this.

According to the anti-Argentina brigade, they are a one man team. Watching this, they have quality over the whole team.
