Smods always looks fed up and grumpy, I wouldn’t read too much into it. -
Hodgson about to be sacked.

Any Rovers’ fan worth their salt should be hoping Eustace does well, because that would mean that Blackburn Rovers are doing well. I am very disappointed that JDT has left, but will show the new guy respect and best wishes in the difficult role he has been appointed to undertake.- 9584 replies

JDT said in an interview last week about Adam that it would be hard for him to turn down a chance to play in the PL, and that the chance might come sooner rather than later. Also, we’ve been chasing McGuire and O’Riordon for ages, which he would be well aware of. He got shut of the unhappy Travis, who he didn’t rate, and two experienced players have been brought in. So, a lot for him to be happy about, apart from AW leaving. -
Much as I’m unhappy about seeing Adam leave, the portrayal of him as some kind of victim, and being forced to leave, is bit of a stretch. He didn’t need to sign for CP and, as has been pointed out, his contract will set him up for life.

If Palace lose at home to Sheffield Utd it could be a serious relegation battle for them.

On another note from today’s game, the stewarding from the senior members of security in the away stand was completely over the top, confrontational and classic jobsworths’ mentality. I saw one of them escorting a kid of about 14 down some stairs kneeing him in the back. They do not have the right to assault people. I’m firmly of the opinion that all stewards should have a name tag on their uniform so that incidents like this can be reported. I know every team has some pillocks, but some of the stewarding I saw today was cringeworthy, and it seemed like some wanted trouble so that they could play the tough guy role. -

Before the defeat at Sheff Wed we were playing really well and everyone was waxing lyrical about JDT. Confidence has been shattered by some horrendous defensive and goalkeeping performances of late. Players need to take some responsibility, too easy to blame the manager when it’s them making so many howlers -
Only one team in it 2nd half, fully deserved point for Luton. Burnley sat back and tried to hold onto their lead.
-
I was thinking about him being with uncle Tony, likely to play more and having a shorter commute.

Travis will be gutted, he might have got a loan move to Brum if he’d waited a few days.

Supporting a football team is about being patient and waiting for the good times which, unless you’re one of the mega clubs, rarely come around for most of us. Most of the time we put up with mediocrity, which makes a winning run so special and lifts the spirits. We need to support the club through thick and thin, even if it means that we have to put up with a lot of disappointment. This doesn’t mean we should be happy all the time with owners, players, managers execs etc., but remain loyal in the hope that things turn in our favour. I will be there on Saturday supporting the players who represent the football club that has given me so much pleasure, and heartache, since I was a young boy. -

A number of players have recently signed new or extended contracts with the Rovers. That to me suggests they are happy with how JDT treats them and how he wants to play. There’s an old adage in football that you shouldn’t keep players who have asked for a transfer, it never works out, nor does suggesting that they rot in the reserves as fans often call for. I’m with JDT on this one. -

Never mind talk about getting a centre forward in during the January window, we desperately need a decent keeper as No. 1 priority. -
Villa were brilliant tonight, they battered City and should have won 4 - 0.

This is like watching Mowbray’s sit back and hold onto what we’ve got tactics. -
The only plus point about these international breaks is that we don’t need to worry about Rovers losing.

Waggot’s ban on opening the Blackburn End may be a wise move. The wind is blowing rain straight onto the seats. Sitting there would have been horrendous. Just saying…
