  1. I agree MGP was poor yesterday and should be dropped if possible, but IMO he still put effort in so no need to boo him.
  2. I thought Benni did well yesterday. He came looking for the ball and tried to make things happen and to be fair put in a decent amount of work, going into midfield and the wings looking for the ball. Though Matty should have come on for MGP and left Benni on. Though the booing both of Pedersen and at full time was well out of order. MGP put in a lot of work as did the team but things didn;t run for them.
  3. Just got back from the Leeds festival and the Pigeon detective were playing. I have to say they were pretty good live. Also saw: The shins would I was pretty impressed with The twang - pretty poor really IMO Dinasour Jr - loud as ever but quality all the same The view were really good live RHCP - very good although they didn;t play much of the old stuff All in all a very good day though and the weather stayed fine
  4. It was just him and some bloke on bass guitar on a acoustic set.. He played Kloot songs and was superb and some new one's as well. Hopefully I can catch the full band next time.
  5. Off to see John Bramwell from I am Kloot at North Bar tonight. Can't wait
  6. Jose could learn a lot from this. Actually the premierleague should make all players and managers watch this
  7. The Bees are good, they seemed to be almost of the verge of making it pretty big after the last album but seem to have slipped back into the relatively unknown. Having a 90's revival in the car to work the last few days, with the classics from Carter USM, Kingmaker, Neds atomic dustbin etc blasting out
  8. Telegraph Link Rovers to make final bid for Dunn. Oh and who's that in the comments section, it's our old friend Vinjay
  9. 2nd greatest player behind the Harwood legend that is Peter Smith
  10. I remember that well, heard about it in the Dog & Otter. Classic
  11. The above makes me laugh. You don't want a player who wants to leave but the club refused, so carries on playing and doing his best to be captain, yet two players who didn't get the move they want initially and sulked and went on strike / made childish comments about their current clubs to be our captain Not saying I agree with Neill being our captain, but he' show a lot more respect to Rovers over wanting to leave than Savage and Oojer showed to their previous employers.
  12. And remember Ozzie, 'If you don;t know the way, just ask' as Del boy would say I'm so depressed I won't be there, most of my mates are going and all the pre match talk on here is really making me jealous, ah well I'd much rather be at work Thursday and Friday anyhow Enjoy and make Rovers proud
  13. Just thinking back to last season when we played Man U. We had Kuqi and Bentley upfront and things didn't look to promising then, and we all know what happened that night Than again..................................
  14. I'd be more than happy with a draw, the problem is you never know with Rovers. They can be pretty awful like at Villa and West Ham then put in a fantastic performance to beat the likes of Man U. Think with the injuries we have and the way Man U are playing we will lose this though. 3-1 to Man U
  15. Went to see a pretty unknown American band called the Spinto Band at Manchester Academy last night and have to say it was fantastic. The music and energy on stage was superb and they even got the support act on stage to perform with them. Plus the Inspiral Carpets are playing in March, happy days
  16. Just got my mate to phone the HB up. They wouldn't say if it was on or not, probably worried it was the police etc with Mr Williams artical in the Telegraph. Fingers crossed though
  17. It's a good job someone on here can read Radio it is then, unless there is a pub somewhere that can get it on Foreign TV
  18. I think many of us can relate to this I went to an FC game last season and even though I wanted them to lose as they are still part of Man U it was a fantstic experience. The buzz in the pub, everyone standing for 90 mins with non stop singing. The fans relationship with the players, management and even stewards and ball boys was something long sonce gone in top flight football. If they went a goal down, they didn;t moan they just sang 'you'll wish you'd never scored' to the opposition and as in the god old days it created some fantastic banter.
  19. I've got 3 shirts which I will get out to you this week. Great work with this mate and good luck with the trek and please tell me it was easy when you return
  20. Got this from a ex Man U fan who now follows FC United of Manchester: I think the lack of any connection to your team and players, especially in the premiership is driving fans to watch lower league / non league football. Love the last line though And so it came to pass. What started in August 1976 (a 2-2 draw against Birmingham) ended on September 10th 2005 - fittingly with the Manchester derby. I have given up my season ticket, I will not be following Manchester United. Instead, I will go and watch FC United Of Manchester on a regular basis. On Saturday, Joey Barton tapped in from a few yards to equalise and the Blue corner went crazy. Reds around me ranted and raved - and I felt absolutely nothing. Deep in my heart, I felt nothing. I have stopped caring and it is time to move on. The decision is a big one, but makes me feel like weight has been lifted. I have not enjoyed watching United, or being associated with what United stand for over the last 5 years. I have no connection with the club or the players, in a way that I used to. And in the last 18 months, they have become dull and one-dimensional - obsessed with 4-3-3 and then hoping Rooney or Ronaldo can sprinkle some magic dust. I don't hate the club (I am not really bothered that rich Irish people and a couple of investment banks have sold their shares to rich American people), but I have no connection. Amongst many things, I cannot relate to Rio Ferdinand, who is banned for 8 months and the haggles an extra £20K a week "image rights" on top of his £100K week salary. What image is that, then? Part of my United heart was lost when Eric Cantona left, one of my great sporting heroes who understood the power of the bond with the fans - and left partly because United had tried to milk him dry through the medium of MUTV. In truth, I am bored by the Premiership, and Abramovich, and the 'unloved' Gerrard, and the only interesting bit being the last-day relegation battle. I also have a young son, and any time spent away form him needs to be enjoyable and worthwhile - and United has been neither of these things. The best 3 matches I have seen recently have been the only 3 I have seen at FC United. I have had a great time with MUFC (including 8 championships and nine FA Cups) and have a death-bed memory of being there that night in Barcelona. (In truth, I knew in Barcelona airport whilst we waited for the delayed plane, that I would never experience another MUFC moment like it) And so, I will look for United's scores and may watch them if they are on TV (in my non-Sky TV world). But if anyone asks - I support FC United of Manchester - a team so small, as to not trouble your world at all. On Saturday morning, the morning of the Derby, I got a package delivered by the postman. It was my brand new FC United shirt - one of the first batch ever produced. It cost £20-odd quid and the material is cheap and nasty. It contains no sponsors names and just has the club badge on it. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly.
  21. And I thought is was us POMS who liked to whinge
  22. Just taking things nice and slowly, we made the mistake in the last test of getting over excited by a wicket
