  1. Applyed for my first ever season ticket. I've never got one in the past due to Uni and travelling etc. Then I just paid on the door, as all my mates were sat in different areas of the BBurn end, amd playing football I missed all the monday games. This year they are relocating and are all sitting together so I decided to get one. They have moved from the BBurn end to the Jack Walker for the £250 tickets as a couple of lads have just moved house and had a first child so were struggling to afford so rather than not bother they went for the cheaper option.
  2. Apparently, due to Vinjays criticism of Walkers, the club have severed all links. We will now be eating Seabrook's finest when the new season kicks off
  3. Yeah, sorry, thought i'd see what all the fuss was about. It doesn't improve the posting experience at all though, so i'll leave it alone
  4. Exactly i've been to over two thirds of the grounds in football league, and ewood as got one of the most parking facilities there is. What do people want to do park outside the ground and get a police escort as soon as they want! Get realistic 323705[/snapback] Other grounds in the league may be as bad as Ewood, but people who come to a one off game like the womens Euro or have never been to Ewood before don't care about other grounds . As Glenn points out a park and ride scheme from the motorway would be a fantastic idea. It's OK for us regulars to say you can get this bus or park here, but thats no good to your first time supporter who doesn;t know these things
  5. One thing the council have failed to done IMO is the transport / parking situation at and around Ewood. A bloke at work over here in Huddersfield went to the womens game against Denmark and his one complaint was how difficult it was to get to Ewood with a large volume of traffic. happygilmore, OK so £25 might not make a difference but if you combine a few of the things suggested on here it could make a difference. A singing / standing area discounts for early ST purchases etc etc. I was talking to a mate the other night and he was saying that when it was standing in the Blackburn end and if the game was dull everyone used to make their own entertainment because they were stood with mates, now it is not possible due to seating etc.
  6. stuwilky's idea of £20 discount for early purchase of ST is a good idea, but what about having a discount for first time buyers. I know this could cause problems with the people who have held a ST for two or three years, but again £20 or £30 off the asking price may just see people applying. I think the main problem is the fact that people know they will get a ticket for all home games if they want one so don't bother with season tickets.
  7. Can someone take the off this guy. It's been used on every post he's done bar one, and that was a double post Anyway, Nissa has quite a nice pair
  8. We won't have seen that many tit's on the Ewood pitch since the days of Mr Kidd
  9. It shows that there is still an interest in football, when the lower leagues, especially the championship are enjoying record attendances, yet the premiership seems to be slowly on the decline. People are fed up of the overpaid and under worked and seemingly hard done to footballers, which we have in the premiership, they need to get back to the real world. As has been mentioned, Rio Ferdinand Says he is happy as Man U and wants to sign a contract, but not for £100,000 he wants £120,000 a week. The bloke is an idiot!!!
  10. Can't agree about Chelsea and Man U. If a Man U or Chelsea fan took a stand and didn't renew their season ticket someone else would buy it just so they could say they have a ST for Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge. It's an image thing, unfortunatly Rovers and many other clubs are not fashionable and when people do not renew there is not a big queue of people wanting to take the place. I guess my point was about football attendences in general rather than Rovers. I'm not complaining about the wages players get, Duff, Shearer and Hendry were worth every penny they got, but when players spit it back in supporters faces (litteraly in Diouf's case) fans decide enough is enough.
  11. One of the reasons attendences are falling are: Dyer, Bowyer, Ferdinand, Ashley Cole, Diouf, Bellamy etc etc etc. AKA spoilt brats People are fed up with working all the hours they can to pay for these 'superstars' to have them throw it back in our faces. People go without during the week to watch these players prance around for 90 minutes then decalre they love the club are happy and want to stay but only if their wage is increased from £80,000 a week to £120,000 a week. What a load of **** When the players start to show respect to the fans then people may return to football.
  12. American, Mrs American certainly looks a lot different to last September Great work though
  13. Looks like TP got it spot on there to be honest Waggy On the subject of tickets, i know quite a few lads who said they are only going tonight as Shearer will be playing. I'd hate to see what the crowd would have been without him
  14. Talking to my mate who's a ST at Old Trafford. He has been to all the demo's etc and was saying that the Fans are thinking of setting up a break away club like Wimbledon fans did when they relocated. Don't know if it will happen but they seem pretty P***ed off. Anyway, I feel for the genuine fans, but whatever they do, boycott season tickets there will be someone willing to take their place. Perhaps they will relocated to China as that's where most of the fans come from
  15. Oh, here we go. All these glory hunters jumping on the bandwagon now we are on for the title I'd be very suprised if your sort were not following Man U when the going gets tough for Rovers. If you're still here in ten years time i'll eat my words
  16. I've seen the french guys on Champ Manager. That Dugarry looks good, but that Zidane is a left wingback / winger which we don't really need with Wilcox. As for Flitcroft, hard working player but the sort attracts red cards and would probably get sent off in his first game
  17. I remeber when they played Norwich in the play-off final a couple of years ago. They had a phone in on one of the radio stations about the game. Most of the Brum supporters said they should go up as they were a premiership club in all but league status, and basically Norwich didn't deserve to go up due to them being a small club They are a poor team, with a poor manager and a OK stadium (when they can afford the electricity bill ) Think we can win this, 2-0. Todd & Emerton
  18. Sack him and bring back Souness. I'm going to miss the excitement of a good old end of season relegation scrap. Mid table security. bah humbug !!!
  19. Think they've shown what they know or don't know about football over the last few days Anyway, agree about Amo not the best but always gave 100% and seemed to care when we conceded a goal / lost a game
  20. I'll not put what I think as i'll get banned
  21. What made me laugh was Motson in yesterdays game praised the ref for not booking a player too early and ruining the game, yet in our game the ref didn't book Rovers players soon enough Ah well looking through the papers and Brian Woolnough, who normally talks rubbish actually talks some sense He asks if we were thugs or if the English game has gone soft, he says why should teams like Blackburn and Bolton allow the big clubs to humiliated.
  22. We did put in some bad tackles, Savage deserved a yellow and Thompson was poor in every department but especially in his tackling. When he made 4 or 5 attapts to takle / foul Virea was a joke. However the media and Arsenal claim we tried to stop the game at every opportunity and the ref was lenient made me laugh. OK we were at times a little over the top but that could be counted on one hand. However I doubt all the hands at the game would suffice in counting the number of times Arsenal players went down whenever the wind blew. I remember a bad challenge on a Rovers player which was worse than most of the challenges we put in, but the player just got up and got on with the game. We played well for 20 to 30 minutes of the first half, Arsenal hardly had the ball, but all in all, it was a fantastic day out which I would not have missed it for anything. Bring on Palace and next season we will win the cup
  23. Good to see Mark Lawrenson making full use of his 'Copy and Paste' functions on his PC: 'I can't for the life of me think where Blackburn's goals are going to come from if they're going to win.' He quotes a 1-0 win to the Arse Idiot Your right, Leftwinger and BRFC4EVA, his prediction does give us more of a chance. Changed my face to suit
