  1. Hmmm ... You should save that somewhere. Interpreted another way and that may yet prove to be very prophetic.
  2. Only one option there then for a player entering the final years of his career. I suppose it's probable that someone else might just be pulling the strings from behind the scenes at Anfield now.
  3. What? Shearer in a tardis picking up Duff and Duggy on the way? Now that just would be worthy of your description SAS.
  4. That would make any deal not worth the gamble.
  5. I seem to remember one such clearance from Shearer cracked some hopeless town drunk on the back of his head and knocked him down the steps! Cheers abbey!
  6. Quite right Rev but as it says in the good book...... 'Do unto others as you would have them do to you'. I think the moot point here is that DD is now on the last lap of his contract and not the first!
  7. How do you or anybody else outside of 2 offices (one in the Reebok and one in St Andrews) know what Bolton have offered Simon? Surely the only inkling we have is from a senior Birmingham source ....... and how much do you trust that to be kosher? For all we know Sam might only have offered Matt Jansen and a couple of grand in part ex. We must not value players on unfounded speculation of what somebody else has offered. And like I said before if Dunne is such a big Rover then he only has to say no to Notlob. Simple as. Alternatively if he signs for Sam after all he has said then he is just another greedygrabbinglyinggobshite professional footballer. One things for certain all this is certain to keep him out of one of the two town's nightclubs!
  8. Yet again you 2 need to pay some lipservice to the shenniggins over Dion Dublin and Ferguson. All Dunn needs to do is reject BWFC, if there are no other options for Brum then we are in the driving seat.
  9. 1. They have better reserves. 2. He hsa actually signed an agreement for somebody else.
  10. Strange tactic this paul so allow me to bring my reply to aggy here "Maybe aggy. Anyway a final point to the arsenal detracters. Set aside the time wasting by Lehman and Fabregas's histrionics and imo Arsenal worked harder and their players ran into space earlier and better than us and they tracked back and closed our players down better than any other visiting team this year with the notable exception of Man Utd. How many times is this highlighted on MotD when commentators eulogise gushingly about top teams? AND before any dismiss this point......how many times did they say the same about us in the early/mid 90's? Make no mistake there is a strong connection between effort and results! btw 1. Paul. Did you go to Everton away in the 94-95 season? btw 2. Interesting suggestion but I'm afraid in this instance Arsenal would simply have got 4 points on Sat instead of 3. .......
  11. Maybe SAS but if 'big fan local boy' is stalling over personal terms he can fcukrightoff!
  12. But surely.......... Bolton is the nearest club to his child!
  13. I still stand by my earleir post Simon. Financial reward is not the only consideration in a contract
  14. I've already given an opinion on that (above) Simon. Financial rewards are not the only terms covered in any contract as you know. In fact we might even have offered to pay for his home extension as a sweetener !
  15. Whoever mentioned Dion Dublin might well prove to be spot on.
  16. C'mon modes read Brownies bloody post properly! Obviously a contract offer has been on the table for him for 12 bloody months now! He has simply chosen not to accept it! Surely that is not too difficult to grasp is it? Good grief! It's no wonder rumours start?
  17. Yet again the words of Martin Johnston spring to mind. "I can't understand football players. They spend 90 mins pretending that they are hurt whilst rugby players spend 80 mins pretending that they are not hurt". Wise words from a 'proper man'.... Graham Souness take note! I must admit that in my days I used to get kicked and just grit my teeth, get on with it and bide my time cos I hated to allow the guy marking the pleasure of knowing that he had hurt me. A lot more violent times when football was for men and 'Dont get mad get even' was the motto in those days. This is even better.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuEP27ff6Qc...related&search= And I'll tell you what. In many cases of sending offs where somebody retaliates by pushing, shoving, slapping his opponent and the opponent goes down like he's been poleaxed the best answer is for the ref not to be judge and jury but to send both the bgugers off! Easy peasy, fair and square to both sides and the snidey provocation and even snidier playacting would stop overnight. Viddy evidence would sort it out later. Whats difficult about that goodness only knows.
  18. If we assume that he is telling the truth (and rem there are always two sides to every coin) then the same money for a longer deal sounds the likeliest that he has been offered then. If it's already good money that he's on the board would be foolish to give way as it would end with other disgruntled players and a queue of agents outside JW's office. In his defence and given the prospect of getting more money elsewhere and especially with the new TV deal in the offing then it's hardly suprising that Neill wants to capitalise. It's messy and unsavoury but we all would do the same..... wouldn't we?
  19. Kin football does my head in! Just as everything in our garden is coming up roses we get kicked in the teeth again! I should be used to it by now but stuff like this still gets to me. Neill out ... cash only now unless Rafa wants to include the currently well underperforming StevieG in the swop now! I'm sure we'd get him enjoying his football again.
  20. One thing we do know is that MH is no fool. Knowing full well that Dunny was keen to return here apparently before any other club sparky and his team will have evaluated the situation in depth, Dunny's physical state, his mental one and his domestic one will all have been under the microscope..... And they have decided not to bother. They were proven correct to right off the likes of Stead, Jansen and Amoruso so their decision will do me fine.
  21. Eh? So if he cannot pass a medical why tf would you want him to come here then modes? I'm bloody baffled.
  22. What? Two seriously good assists from Neill in our last two Prem matches..... v Liverpool and v Wigan! Does your seat actually face the pitch TDI? btw Even the supremely gifted passer of a ball Tugay has an imaginary friend dont forget. A point of view apparently not shared by messrs Curbishly, Roeder and Benitez etc. Still I guess you know best eh MCM? Gally before Derbyshire?
  23. Didn't need the 'of course' rider to that Lee. It was the ambigiouty of the original statement that prompted those valid (imo) queries.
  24. Good point! It'd be interesting to see the nature of this thread and the reaction of the press / media if he had not missed that absolute sitter v Liverpool. 3 in 3 games would have been superb.
  25. I'm guessing that my PM to Den was the first? Anyway whatever but why wait until the next brisa meeting? I'm sure that Lee is in a position to easily clear the matter up?
