Surely there can be no other result otherwise match fixing will actually become legit! -

What? Its a totally fair criticism! Bloody preposterous situation. The ticket office should be open the day before a Prem home match no matter what. I find that not only alarming but a very valid criticism of the admin at Ewood. Whats going on down there with the thick sods? -

Why? Whats wrong with my attitude? I pay exactly the same for my Season ticket (approx £400 / £22 per match) as I would in the Tom Finney stand at PNE or Burnley's Longside! The only difference being that BRFC play 4 matches fewer (but I think we have a euro game chucked in). Where would you rather sit Phil given that tomorrow we will be watching the likes of McArthy, Roberts Friedal, Shevchenko, Lampard and Robben? Why is everybody always looking for a free lunch nowadays? -

It's got to be the late Jeff Astle's second half goal for WBA at Ewood that condemned us to a 0-1 home defeat and sentenced us to 26 long years in the lower reaches of the league until Uncle Jack provided our salvation. -

Could be worse for the moaners on here ....... they could be supporting Spurs. Everton's just beaten the fancy dans from WHL 0-2. Kinda puts them only getting 2 chances ALL THE GAME against our cobbled together defence into perspective. Funny old game eh? -

Good grief Aggy! You've just trumped yourself. Can you not try to keep some logic in your train of thought? You diss me for providing the solution (even though I admit it would prove a taj unpalatable to many in the short term) then you continue to moan about falling attendances and predict even more. Tell you what give us all your solution to the problems of attracting crowds in excess of 30,000 and in the process provide enough income to fund a top club that can compete on a par with Europes finest. I'm waiting with bated breath. You must feel better for that cletus. Tell you what now that you have metaphorically taken your bat and ball and turned your back on your home town team and become a proper armchair fan could you complete the process by buying a red shirt and supporting Man Utd? You are certainly no use to BRFC anymore. -
Said it and much worse many times when playing agin t'gobbiners from t'immanuel. btw dan you may be able to solve a long standing mystery here. What exactly does the phrase "OO said as OO were agate with OO" actually refer to in your neck of the woods?

That type of technology is shyte and just results in needless queues and frustration whilst some gimp pays for a couple of shandy's on their stupid plastic! I can't put into words how pathetic I find that current trend. Like using a mobile phone in a restaurant / having a 'Gold' credit card etc...... used to be deemed chic but now is considered chavish. -
Wimbledon born, Wimbledon bred........ strong in th'arm and thick in th'ead. ............. With apologies to all those from Oswaldtwistle on here.

Crikey I forgot my trump card......... BERT! How many think he should be automatic 1st choice winger? Yet he played in the WC finals for a good team and is prob an automatic choice too. I've no doubt Ooijer's a gud un but I'll make my own judgements when I see him play. btw anyone rem Corrado Grabbi? Leading scorer in Seria B and Souness bought him without seeing him play didn't he? -

Well tough we'll just have to do without em then. This is the Premiership, arguably the best league in the world not the bloody fizzy pop league. People have to realise that they have to pay for their pleasures in this life, they are damned fortunate and privelidged to have their local town team in the Prem. Few other town teams supporters could say the same. I'd certainly have traded the dim dark distant old days of the 3rd Div for this for the sake of what prob amounts to a tenner a fortnight thats for certain sure! Maybe a spell with the Oldhams, Forests and Darlingtons might just serve to re-educate our younger and cosseted followers. There has to be a relative cost for the best otherwise we would all have Rolls Royces and palaces. If it's too dear then people need to, prioritise and either cancel SKY, drink less or stop smoking**. If that doesn't yield better support then there is only one answer.......... as I see it! ** Plenty appear to have done that anyway. -

Yeah so what does that mean? Kuqi is 1st choice striker for Finland, Mokoena was 1st choice ch for SA, Neill CH for Australia, Sav was automatic for wales, Reid is capt and 1st choice for RoI. Yet they have all had criticism on here today. Higher up the scale perhaps but Hargreaves 1st choice for Germany / Crouch for Lpool but they have both had serious sh1t from our resident 'experts' during the WC. Ooijer sounds a good player but I take nothing for granted till I've seen them. -

??? How can you say that? You seen Ooijer play much have you Sam? Amazingly stupid I hope you mean. Daft no-nowt sods taking the p1ss out of our defenders / midfielders but just how many direct saves did Brad have to make? Thats down to the defence isn't it? We squandered more good chances than Everton but very few are criticising the strikers are they? Silly silly know f'alls do my head in. -

All my mates in the JW said it was a pen but from the Riverside it just appeared that AJ went down too easily and was fishing for a pen. And that is the angle that Rennie got too although he was much closer of coures. -
Did'nt see it and prob need to but before there is a lynching party formed consider that something might have gone before like mendes leaving his studs in a previous tackle / insulting his family a la Zidane / or blatant diving. Some players gat away with stuff whilst others dont. btw if it's the latter then I simply dont care about Mendes health and will elevate Thatcher to hero status.

Yawn............ I think you need to ask those that play against him for a true assessment of Savage's input if you cannot see it for youself 92er. (patient sigh) btw to all the Todd detractors....... he was not the worst or slowest defender on the pitch last night by some considerable distance! You lot would whinge forever if we had to watch Stubbs lumber around every week. btw his partner Yobo is one class act. Yes me. Neville got well and truly out of jail. Rennie still spoke to him though but then ended up patting him on the shoulder. Another day and another ref and Neville could have been sent off. I must say Pederson did appear to have been targetted last night by the Everton players. -

A point that I made on here last year. We simply cannot defend a lead well enough. (Englands achilles heel too.) We simply cannot retain possession effectively and end up giving the ball away needlessly. On the plus side.. 1. this was always going to be difficult given our patched up defence. 2. Whilst possession was prob shaded by Everton the cobbled together team that we did put out did create the better chances and could easily but prob unfairly have gone into the half time break 3-0 up. btw I did enjoy the game USABLue. Plenty of commitment displayed by both teams. -
How could nelsen lead us to our first victory numbnuts? Nelsen won't even be fit to play against Everton.

Show respect to someone who is old enough to be your grandfather and has followed BRFC for longer than almost anybody else on here...... and if you cannot do that then just sod off somewhere else cos you will not be welcome here. -
Must say last season when I went down for a cup tie ticket I called in at the club shop looking for something to buy the kids and I always left empty handed cos it ALL appears to be just cheap tatt and mostly overpriced. It's not good.

Hindsight is easy and I wasn't there either but imo for any away game with a makeshift defence which we were forced to select through injuries (...... and lets face it Mokoena isn't a good full back, Neill hasn't much experience at CH and Gray is vulnerable to pace ........ ) we should have packed the midfield with stronger and more defensive players. It seems apparent that the defence should have been protected more than they were. Pederson and Bentley should have been overlooked in favour of Peter and Emerton with Reid forming a dogs of war partnership in midfield with Sav. Even Douglas would have offered more in a destructive role than Pederson and Bentley. The old tactic used to be to win the personal battles and stop the other team playing before actually trying to win an away game. I'm suprised MH and his team didn't adhere to that. Maybe if we had been away to a 'top team' they might. -

Indeed. I was chatting to an Everton fan on Friday and he said (with last season in mind) how important it was to get off to a good start. I've said on here that imo although we finished 6th and discounting the top 3 and Sunderland that there was only a cigarette paper between the rest. We were'nt all that good last year, we struggled to beat the likes of Villa and Boro in the spring who at the time were flirting with relegation, we got easily turned over by West Brom and Everton etc. Not wanting to be alarmist after one bad result but experience of other teams tells me maybe the emphasis should be on attitude and the old Souness target of 40 points before we start thinking that we are capable by right of another top 6 finish. -

I may be wrong but I think it could coincidentally have been last year at West Ham. -
Maybe we should be following Evertons lead...... I don't think. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,1854336,00.html
