Don't know how this works but earlier in this thread Paul informed us that the AVERAGE amount paid per ticket at BRFC is just £13! Makes you wonder where the 'can't affords / can't be arsed cos it's too dear / I'd rather spend it on ale' brigade expect BRFC to go next with admission prices. btw I read the earlier pages on this thread and it's now become just a revolving argument and pointless waste of time. The novelty of watching top level football has simply worn off for many of the less interested.

I wonder if a lucrative (and no doubt bung laden ) move at the end of this season might just be in his mind? Anybody who plays so carelessly for 3 years and then miraculously improves beyond all recognition has got to be suspect imo. Emerton has obviously plenty of ability but in the past has shown little inclination to use it.

[Archived] Match review: Rovers 4 Man City 2
thenodrog replied to rover6's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
One week on and an 'easy' away victory at Boro threatened yet again by poor concentration. Exactly how can our defence miss a man mountain like Euell standing at the edge of the box with 10 clear yards all around him? Despite some good work overall we got lucky. If we are content to defend 1 goal leads we need to concentrate better at the back. -

By the people behind you I hope. -
Cletus.... according to Unsall....... according to you ..... So either £2 is the issue (and btw I'm not having that unless you tell me directly that it is) or your work means that you will not be able to take in every match. So the club should take a look at flexible season tickets to accomodate the new phenomena of Sky kick off times, KO changes to accommodate more European competitions played on Thursdays(hopefully), and the modern prediliction to 4 day shifts. Anybody know if this has been investigated by the Rovers?

Two top posts that accurately reflect the current 'I don't care a stuff as long as I can get p1ssed up' attitude in the town. It really is a poor do but maybe simply a reflection of the values (or lack of them) of today's society

Should ensure a bumber 10,000 crowd.

In answer to your questions... 1. Definitely. 2. No. Cos I don't do colours now. 3a. Yes 3b No cos I don't go mental now. I find a quick cheer and standing applause sufficient. 4. No the wages have been just as indecent and immoral to the ordinary supporter since the early 60's. btw bellers The answer from my lad would be a loud yes to all except the last question, and bear in mind it's the kids who are the future of football in this area. It's the kids who would also adapt quickest cos they are free of any silly and irrational nostalgic hang ups about the good old days and trams, and red brick, and sitting around the perimeter fence, and hooped socks, and busses back to the bouli, and flat caps and mufflers, and rattles, and ziga zaga, and fighting on cinder paths, and changing ends at half time, and HT scores in letter form (to make you buy a prog), and Sports Pinks instead of media phone ins, and HT brass bands, and crushes to get out .....etc.

Absolute complete and utter nonsense bing. Us old gits have been there don't forget. Blackburn kids will just start supporting MU, Lpool and Chelsea. They want fashionable high profile winners as heroes, not bit part poor relations. It's horrendous. And wine bars overlooking the warm waters of the Med. Get it right Phil. Thats the Walls of Jericho and it's in the bible.

[Archived] Andre Ooijer Signs !
thenodrog replied to Craigman's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Why ever not? You may need to think things thriough a little, just look at the difference Mokoena made last week. If it stops us conceding goals at the rate we are doing and steadies the ship I don't have a problem. Weak defences = relegated teams fact and undisputeably so. Anyway if it's OK for MU, Chelsea and Arsenal whats your problem? -
[Archived] Andre Ooijer Signs !
thenodrog replied to Craigman's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
A limited return to a 4-5-1 starting formation especially away from home with Mokoena in front of him would help him and his confidence no end. Our striker options would allow for a quick switch to a more attacking 4-4-2 in the last 20 mins should the game require it. -
You are probably correct AS but as with that shared ground fiasco in Lpool it will be to the long term detriment of all. Lancashire will always be a footballing 'hot bed'.............. of minnows. The only man who had the ability, charisma and wherewithall to pull it all together died 5 years ago. Oh and btw.......... Fkuc off Ben2000. Butt out and mind your own effin business! There is that more like AS?

My answer was here all the time scotty in the first paragraph. If you can't be arsed to read my posts then it's very SAD. Now I've explained my position will you have another go at the second paragraph.
-
eh? What question. And whats sad?
-
Flying in for the match are you Philip?
-
Is it me or does that sentence not make sense? Have you missed something out?
-
You may have a point Paul but rem YOU don't pay anything like £36 to get into Ewood and never have. If we are not careful this category A+ price will be mistaken for the norm by many. Your buckets definitely half empty at the moment.
-
There's a lot on here who frequently do just that. I believe the currently popular term for people with a viewpoint like yours is 'Loser'
-
Indeed. I think the 'all the club needs to do is let us in cheap' brigade are in for a shock. We'll just have to wait and see eh?
-
Right so would you mind changing your name then to something more appropriate? btw I've given you a clue above and without checking I think its available.
-
A point that I have been labouring tirelessly. Word of advice CK 'if you want something different to happen you've got to do something different'.

So thats the reason for no concessions on some grounds is it? Makes sense.
