  1. Yeah, but that was in a time before you got points for possession. Oh wait a minute...........
  2. I don't want to see him linked with us. Once bitten and all that.
  3. The amount of youngsters in the first team squad is down to being able to name 9 subs. I think what is more relevent are the player we have let leave the club. A lot of those players were the ones that put in the hard graft because they weren't quite good enough.
  4. because last season you had to get a certain amount of points not to be relegated. Our lack of skill throughout the U23s could be made up for, with shear graft, to gain those points. This season that doesn't matter, so it is a human traite not to put the same effort in.
  5. The way I look at it is, they are losing more games because there is not much to play for. This may or may not be true, it is just what I think.
  6. That was what used to be known as being a winner.
  7. Is Benson the set piece coach ? If not who is ?
  8. On average our players are not performing to a level I would call acceptable, and yes that is in part down to a manager that insists on playing certain tactics that are not working. Two examples are, constant short balls from our keeper, and short corners. You say, look at the bench last night as a excuse. I still remember two subs being the allocation, that would remove that excuse.
  9. The travelling might have been an excuse if they were travelling in the back of a van. But not in air conditioned luxury. I understand that it is more a pop at Swagg, but just do your job to the best of your ability, I am sick of the excuses.
  10. JDT seems to be a perfectionist rather than a winner. A bit like Keegans Newcastle, great to watch but win sod all.
  11. Just defend them, it is part of playing football.
  12. If the other defenders know that Scott doesn't really like to play the short passing game, wouldn't you think that the best option would be to not give him the ball.
  13. But you assumed that I regard preston as a fierce rival, which I don't. Any team we play next season are to me rivals.
  14. I don't see Preston as either fierce or rivals.
  15. Would wimbledon except a straight swap for Dolan ?
  16. It doesn't matter what choice the manager has, because the only viable option is to get on with things to the best of your ability.
  17. I got my wallet lifted in a bar in Amsterdam, it was about 1998 . I told the lads I was with to carry on with their night. I eventually got talking to this group of lads, they turned out to be Dingles. They bought me beers all night. When I said to them that I didn't even think about Burnley, they replyed that I should never forget how much I should hate Burnley. They were more pissed off that I didn't give a shit about them, than the fact I was a Rover
  18. I dislike Bolton because of the amount of times they kicked the shit out of us on Manchester road.
  19. Rovers and Nobbers used to fly with the company I used to work for. Since I retired I don't know if they still do.
  20. The only thing is, if they defaulted on payment, we might be allowed to recall him and have him train with us.
  21. I remember when young players at clubs were boarded with older people, who gave them a family environment to keep their heads level. I think it is a shame, that system seems to have had it's day.
  22. Unless they default on payment . After tomorrow do we need to recall Buckley. After the international break hopefully the injured defenders are fit again, we also have cover in mid-field. Our area of short-coming is up front, recalling Bucko will not help with that.
