He was lucky to be making the U21s squad never mind the first team. I would take Sam Burns above Markanday at the moment. He may improve in the future, have the Rovers got the time to take that risk ?

From what I have seen, the only thing that reminds me of Dolan is that he is small.

Being played on the right wing he wasn't even showing much for the U21s. The only time he looked dangerous was when he played through the middle.

Let's hope someone who is reasonable good at the commercial side of things, understands the local demographic, and who has the Rovers interests at heart, gets the job.

The reason a lot of people are upset ,is the fact that he hasn't been given the chance to complete a full 90 minutes. As our outstanding midfielder he should have been.

Yes I did stay with one company, till I was too old (the RAF). Then I got another job. Now I am retired. Not that it has anything to do with the topic.

What I take from this, is that he left Rovers to try to better his career. This didn't quite work out for him. His downward spiral was not as dramatic as ours, but he has ended up at our level. Is he a good recruit for us ? I doubt it.
