Am I right in saying we haven't beat that lot since we were infected with the Venky Virus? -
It was indeed a really young team who held their own and fully deserved a draw despite playing over half the game with ten men. Porto were pretty good with their gamesmanship and were frustrated at the end and tried to take this out on the Rovers players at the final whistle when a melee developed. All in all a decent watch and it was good to see a fully committed Rovers team after the sham performance on Sunday.

Thomason left Scott out and played Mola because of his pace against Burnley's quick wide men. Then we defended on the edge of our box for most of the game because of Ayala's lack of pace. There is some perverse logic from Tomasson somewhere. -
For these matches I usually park on Bolton Road itself. The restrictions are lifted after 7 pm

As proved in every game this season scoring first is critical if we are to have a chance. How ridiculous is that though. In truth I'm still feeling really despondent after the Claret capitulation so much that my confidence in Tomasson is waning. He simply has to come up with something different, something new that replaces the predictable, tedious and slow play we have endured in many games. -

Age is irrelevant when we are talking about the game Tomasson wants us to play. Quite simply too many aren't up to it and it's our managers total denial and insistence that we keep doing it. -

You have highlighted several points that many others have which in their opinion cost us on Sunday. And that is all many are doing, criticising his team selection and tactics. And your wider point about them scoring first is highlighting another big weakness that Tomasson has whereby we just haven't looked like getting back into and game where we have conceded first. -

How many have called for his head? He and the team have received criticism and rightly so. The reality check is that we have suffered our worst derby defeat since 1963 and did so without a fight.. Tomasson's team selection and tactics also contributed massively to the defeat. -
It's normally a few hundred but we'll worth watching. For the match at Leyland it's free for season ticket holders.

The under 21's are playing Porto at Ewood on Wednesday with a 7 pm kick off and Aston Villa at Leyland on Saturday with a 1 pm start. Quite often these are better games than the first team and really enjoyable. It might satisfy your live football fix for a week of the Winter break.

So far this season Burnley have dropped points to Luton, Hull, Watford, Blackpool, West Brom, Preston, Cardiff, Stoke, Birmingham and Sheffield United. That's ten games where opponents, mostly with weaker squads have competed physically and tactically to do enough to get results. Yesterday were were out run, out thought and given a lesson in the way I think Tomasson wants to play. -

Rotherham gave them a game recently and they have dropped points to teams much lower than us. And we beat Watford recently who were in the Premier League last season. -

Does anybody think that Burnley weren't hugely better than us in every outfield position? That was the level we were at, second best everywhere including the technical areas. They were quicker, more aggressive, better on the ball, better off the ball, passed better with purpose and had far more intensity. We had our usual pedantic, too many touches style. -

Some decent questions here but Tomasson swerves them like a politician would. -

And to cap an awful day I was threatened with being ejected with my 11 year old granddaughter because we had the temerity to wave a five foot by three foot Rovers flag an hour before kick off. The CCTV operator spotted it and sent this busy cow to tell me not to save it. I asked why and she said we have a zero tolerance to flags (quite ironic really on Remembrance Sunday) and if we waved it again we would be ejected from the ground. After that I spotted at least half a dozen on the Longside including an Indian flag. I also had my flask confiscated outside the ground and when I collected it after the match it was damaged. Never mind though we will roll out the red carpet for them in March when several thousand descend on Ewood. -

What process have I to trust in? -
If you could ask Tomasson one question what would it be? I would like to ask him why he persists with a way of playing that the players just aren't suited to. I'm guessing there will be a common theme here.

It's the morning after the day before and I hope the arrogant Dane is feeling as bad as I do. He just doesn't know what to do when we go behind as evidenced by the nine losses so far this season. In not one of them games have we looked like getting something and playing exactly the same way. -

If he thought that why didn't he play him a left back of wing back to cope with Bensons pace. The right footed Brittain was run ragged in the game in that position. -

I don't know if it's deliberate but their absence today is respected by me. They aren't kicking us when we are down. If that is true then thanks to them. -

And at West Ham Edun played a ball through to Vale that dissected their centre halves. I have asked the question before but how many goals have come from playing out from the back (from any team)? In our case I can hardly remember us getting to the half way line never mind scoring. It's a fad and managers are simply expecting players to do something they simply aren't capable of. -

The vast majority of players and staff will be on holiday from tomorrow and not training for the best part of a fortnight.
