  1. I read his on the Rovers website interview and he doesn't mention mistakes. I don't listen to every interview and comment on what I read. Do you know what he says to the players?
  2. Some of our players simply aren't good enough to play that way. There have been several incidents this season that have resulted in us almost losing possession deep in our own half and penalty area.
  3. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2019/august/lacklustre-first-half-let-us-down/ I find this disappointing as Mowbray doesn't mention the individuals who cost us goals, not even a general comment about the mistakes. After his recent public calling out of young players it doesn't sit right with me.
  4. I don't know why Lenihan just didn't wrap his arms around the West Brom player to stop him. He half did and got yellow carded anyway. In the second half Armstrong got away from a defender in almost identical circumstances and he was brought down. We simply have to be more ruthless and nasty sometimes.
  5. In all honesty Nick Adam Armstrong couldn't defend his honour so I don't understand why Mowbray has him in a position where he is expected to particularly as it's on the wrong side for him. West Brom away is a tough game where you have to be defensively sound for long periods. Expecting that from Armstrong is a big ask.
  6. If somebody told me we'd score two goals today I'd have backed us to win given our run of clean sheets. How wrong I was. Far too many individual mistakes cost us with Cunningham and Lenihan directly responsible for the concession of two goals. Along with the errors I was disappointed with Armstrong for the first half hour when the West Brom right back was their best attacker. Why on earth Mowbray played him on the left and Downing on the right is baffling me. They eventually changed but the damage was done by then. With West Brom apperaring three minutes before Rovers after half time it felt to me that something has been said or done in our changing room. The two changes worked far better for us and we got on the front foot and pushed West Brom back. They came into it but we finished strongly as we looked for a third. At the moment I don't get the Sam Gallagher love in. At best he is average and a slight improvement on Brereton. Both are as weak as piss. A disappointing afternoon as we lost another.
  7. That doesn't justify anything. We want the best for our club so what's wrong with criticism if somebody feels it's justified. By the way the elephant is still in the room you know.
  8. I remember well the first march from the Havelock to Ewood before the Arsenal match. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Only a few hundred turned up and the disdain we received around Ewood was alarming. We were told to get behind the team, the owners, Mean, we are not proper fans etc. I often wonder if it would have been different in thousands of fans had marched instead of pouring scorn on the ones highlighting the plight we felt was coming. How right we were. One of the only true things Kean said was that only 1% of fans were protesting.
  9. https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/olivia-attwood-bradley-dack-inside-19028040 His bird is moving to Essex and in typical fashion she wants the world to know. I wonder if this will impact on Dacks form or indeed future.
  10. Dale responds to Bury's expulsion. https://www.buryfc.co.uk/news/2019/august/chairmans-statement/
  11. I was quite enthused when I saw the headline 'UEFA agrees price cap on away tickets in Champions League and Europa League'. As somebody who is critical of the general pricing structure in football I was pleased that UEFA are taking the lead. Then I read the article........... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49527923
  12. Leaving the technical area is a breach of regulation. That is why he was yellow carded, not for anything he said to the ball boy. His continued protestations earned him the red card.
  13. I agree with the harder approach. My disappointment is that, once again Mowbray has gone public. The fact he isn't the first manager to do this doesn't make it right. It's a workplace and every employee deserves respect from their manager. Mowbray going public and insinuating that Chapman isn't working hard enough is disrespectful. Image your boss calling you out publicly for some perceived failings.
  14. And it would set a dangerous precedent if they go unpunished.
  15. The last time I cancelled with Virgin I got a partial refund. Are you saying a full refund is now available?
  16. I don't think this is really about Chapman but more about Mowbray. His line 'blame the manager that Harry Chapman isn’t playing' seems more about exonerating himself from criticism.
  17. Leutwiler was offered a new deal just as the season ended and the new window hadn't opened. And at that point there was no confirmation that Raya was on his way. I'm my opinion it's another example of Mowbray's ad hoc style of management with very little succession planning.
  18. I've been wracking my brain but aside from Fisher did we have three keepers last season (or any other for that matter)?
  19. It's another hatchet job from Mowbray on a young player. I just don't see the value of articles like this when it could seriously impact on the player. He can't help himself though.
  20. Situations like this frustrate me. Mowbray was happy to give Leutwiler a new deal a few weeks ago and now it appears he wants competition for the substitutes bench after seven games. I can only surmise that Leutwilers insipid performances in the League Cup have persuaded him that Leutwiler isn't good enough. But he hasn't suddenly become a poor keeper, he has always been poor.
  21. The real irony to me is that he breached a regulation to speak to the kid about morals and being a good human being.
  22. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17868530.rovers-boss-face-no-action-sending-off/ No further action against Mogga. Hopefully he has learned a lesson too.
  23. There is a petition to try and get the EFL to overturn their decision. Please share if possible. https://www.change.org/p/debbie-jevans-efl-efl-bring-back-bury-fc
  24. If he has gone it's of his own volition after Mowbray offered him a deal until January. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17642162.rovers-boss-tony-mowbray-on-the-future-of-ben-gladwin/
  25. The academy is just about the only aspect of Jack Walkers legacy that they have not ruined. Remember this from Desai when they acquired Rovers: "We plan to focus on leveraging the global influence in establishing Blackburn Rovers as a truly global brand," Desai said today. "We will absolutely respect the Jack Walker legacy and will be actively supporting the organisation to ensure that Blackburn Rovers remain one of the best-run clubs within the Premier League."
