I don't know where he studied. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Balaji wanted him to take over the running of the club but I can't be totally sure.
-
I was told that Balaji's son has been to quite a few games recently and is taking an interest. The person who told me reckons he's only about 18.

If they were staying locally I'm certain that the local hotels and bars welcomed them with open arms. Rovers do their upmost to make them unwelcome. I'm looking forward to January when hopefully the security at Ewood is consistent and makes the Nobbers sit down. And their 'searches' actually find something illicit rather than searching my eight year old granddaughters backpack making her feel like she is doing something wrong.

I was thinking about him last Saturday at Elland Road as the Leeds fans eulogised him in a song about scoring in the San Siro. Hopefully he makes a speedy and full recovery.

Season Tickets 2019/2020

I don't think Nobbers fans will feel disenfranchised like thousands of Rovers fans through a combination of persistently being let down by the club hierarchy through stand closures, ticket surcharges and a host of other things. Throw in the likes of Kean and Coyle And the shady characters who effectively stole from us. And the common denominator in this is the awful owners we have suffered for nearly a decade. -

I give you.............Ben Brereton. ???? -
I don't remember them selling records but only a couple of shops away was Tony Charles Records. I played for a football team he started called Charles Athletic and he bought us track suits with the name on the back. He also bought us the full Admiral England kit. This made us targets and we usually got kicked from pillar to post. He also played cricket for one of the Darwen teams and was equally generous there.
-
I know - I was there but for anybody who was too young an explanation would have helped. I'm sure I twagged it for the afternoon but a cryptic school mates on here reckoned we were given time off. I also remember the late Kit Napier scoring a hatrick and a healthy crowd.
-
That's too cryptic mate. I think you need to tell the story ?.

I don't know if you are old enough to remember Johnny Forbes' shop in Blackburn. They had stock in dark brown wooden drawers all neatly labelled. I remember my parents buying my first Rovers out for me from there. Being in the shop and getting that kit was something that has stuck with me. There was a similar shop in Darwen called County Sports which sold pretty much anything from fishing tackle to Airfix models. Mick Heaton was a partner in a sports shop in Darwen too. It traded under the name of John Harrison Sports but Mick was a sleeping partner.

I have no desire to prolong this but you should have added 'in my opinion' after the first sentence. -

Do you believe Cheston was forced to say those things? If you really believe that then that's up to you. Personally I believe he said them of his own volition really believing they were true. Meanwhile in the real world the majority knew we were only going in one direction. Irrespective he owed it to the fans to justify the comments when we got relegated. -

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/14620710.owen-coyle-proving-why-he-was-the-right-appointment-for-blackburn-rovers-says-director-mike-cheston/ I suggest you read the quotes from Cheston. He says they definitely made the right appointment. As somebody said earlier that appointment set us back by a few years and potentially cost us millions. No recourse for Cheston though who is happy to take his large salary. -

I don't know if you are defending him or not in that reply as I can't make sense of it. Cheston is on record as describing him as the outstanding candidate. -

But Cheston said Coyle was the outstanding candidate. -
The two articles kind of sum up where we are as a football team. His contradictory nature on tactics, style of play etc are one of the reasons we struggle in my opinion. Now his contradiction in two back to back interviews are apparent. No wonder the players look confused at times. Was it the American TV programme called Soap that used the strapline "Confused - you will be........."

Bamba is reputedly one of the names strongly being linked to the Cardiff managers job in South Wales. -

I think his next move will be to the Sky sofa. He's pretty much done with management. -

I was told in confidence early yesterday but that he was going of his own volition. He was in the dressing room for a long while after yesterdays game and Sky thought he was bollocking his players. He wasn't, he was saying his goodbyes. -
And his 'project signings' get away unscathed despite scoring two league goals between them and costing £12m. I thought Gallagher was ridiculously poor on Saturday. Before the hour mark he was blowing out of his arse. Both are physically (and likely mentally) weak.
-
I think you are spot on. The autonomy he has is is frightening. Mowbray talks about how long he has been in football and understands the machinations of it but then he talks about not being worried about results. Blackburn Rovers success, both on and off the field is determined by results and he comes out with pure nonsense like that. It's a sad indictment of where we are at the moment.
-
This interview should be the tipping point for anybody who still backs him. He is talking about results with this quote. “Is it a concern? I judge the team on their performance levels,” Mowbray told the Lancashire Telegraph. Hopefully he understands if you lose too many games you get relegated. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/quicktest/18027479.is-concern--rovers-boss-mowbray-recent-results/
