I don't know why consideration isn't given to bringing it back in house like it used to be. Burnley have a catering manager who oversees the whole match day operation and functions that are outside of Saturday and weekday games. Northcote have charged top dollar for what was average and bland fayre. I believe a professionally run operation could bring in vital revenue. I think there is an element of laziness about outsourcing.

I snigger to myself when I hear 'modern' managers talk about sports science, nutritionalists, conditioning coaches, sports psychologists and analysts. The likes of Martin O'Neill won't put too much sway on these because he simply knows the game and understands what is needed to win football matches. It looks like O'Neill has got the defence sorted out and is building from there. Derby looked physically weak compared to Forest and Lampard looked our o f his depth as O'Neill's tactics worked perfectly.

With regard to Raya it can be argued with justification that he cost us four points against Birmingham alone. His mad moment when conceding the penalty at home gave Birmingham a route back and hope which they capitalised on. Then on Saturday it was another feeble attempt to keep out a tame shot from a tight angle when we were 2-1 up.

My point was Rovers can't do anything when games are switched for TV. They didn't need to have the Preston game at 12, they made the decision autonomously. That's why it's irrelevant. And whilst a lot aren't happy with Sky moving games they accept it because of the money.

If the police made the decision I could accept it irrespective of when that was made. Presumably a police decision would have been made in the interests of public safety which is something they know about. But it wasn't, they were happy to police an afternoon kick off and the potential that brought. My frustration is that Rovers (I have to generalise until we know who had the final say) are pretty much undermining the police by having an early kick off and inconveniencing a good number of supporters.

If that is one of the reasons (and I genuinely don't know) then Rovers are surely adding to the problem by selling alcohol in the ground. Now it has been confirmed by the police that the early kick off is entirely down to Rovers I have emailed Steve Waggott asking why this is the case.

That's exactly what I was driving at. Football for many fans isn't the priority and there are many reasons why. For some it's cost prohibitive or simply inconvenient. It's almost like a badge of honour for some to wear because they prioritise football over what are more important things to many.

Quite simply I think he didn't score because he was knackered. He saw Armstrong looking to whip the ball in but his legs just wouldn't get him there.

There was an undercurrent today I felt as scores of Rovers fans, through drink or other substances were belligerent towards any authority, showed complete disregard for others and were generally obnoxious. I very rarely go onto a concourse but my friend went down at half-time and said there was beer being thrown and some were fighting. When we scored early in the second half lots of them came through the tunnel from the concourse and began pushing people who were in their seats in some kind of pseudo celebration. They then stood and blocked exits and gang ways and became aggressive with stewards when they were asked to go to their seats. And the age profile of these ranged from teenagers to blokes in their fifties. I saw parents move to other areas with their kids in fear. I'm no prude but there is a real selfishness about some of these who don't even realise they are spoiling other people's enjoyment.

I've just seen the goals and Birminghams second confirmed what I thought at the time that Raya shouldn't have been beaten by such a tame shot from that angle. He nearly conceded one in the first half by almost diving over the ball before scooping it away. I'll be disappointed if Mowbray doesn't improve on the goalkeeping position in the summer.

Why should they? The overtime money is important to people particularly in low paid jobs. People have families, why on earth should they prioritise football over that? So do you agree with the noon kick off or not? Edit: Leeds was another unnecessary early kick off which inconvenienced some supporters.

For a lot of people Saturday morning is overtime and the extra money helps them pay the bills. I would have got tickets for my daughter and granddaughter but she has gymnastics between 11 and 12. There is also a lot of junior football on Saturday mornings which is important to them For clarity do you agree wow the noon kick off?
