  1. Possibly. Not really what we need though is it?
  2. It's OK, I know it was only theoretical and even if the player and Eustace were interested I can't see Waggott/Pasha/Venky's being ambitious enough to go for it. If we're looking at a lad from Dundalk with a scoring record of 3 from 30 we're obviously scavenging right at the very bottom of the bargain bin.
  3. 14 points from those eight games would be a nice haul. Win and a draw from Hull/Sheff Wed Win and a draw from Luton/Millwall Win and a draw Sunderland/Hull 2 draws Leeds/Burnley. Would keep us nicely in contention moving into the New Year.
  4. I think he'd have quite a bit to prove if he came back from the naysayers who reckon he downed tools. It'd be a definite yes from me but doubt it would happen. Likely to be far too ambitious
  5. Yeah, we've already discussed that, we had a winger in Gary Bowyer's time who was recalled early (Mo Barrow?) so the rules must have changed.
  6. Imo Kaminsky didn't make outstanding saves, Raya did. Kaminsky was on the whole a good solid keeper but nowhere near as good as Raya. As for Pears, I was as critical as anyone about the circumstances in which he joined the Club but since the FA Cup disaster at Wigan after which everyone wrote him off completely I think he's gradually improved and the Sheff Wed howler apart last season I think he's developed into quite a reasonable keeper. Not as good as Kaminsky or Raya but nothing to warrant anywhere near the amount of criticism he gets on here with certain posters who jump on the slightest error he makes irrespective of whether it costs the team a goal or who blame him for goals which are blatantly not down to him but down to defensive errors.
  7. Yeah you said that before. Hope you enjoyed your night out!
  8. Wasn't selected when fit though.
  9. Sure we've had players recalled early in the past? Two spring to mind, Palmer and there was a winger when Bowyer was here (whose name escapes me) who like Duberry never saw the light of day.
  10. I'm surprised he hasn't been recalled already. Doesn't seem like it was Eustace's choice to bring him in.
  11. Certainly was his last season or two. Couldn't move.
  12. Lol. My erstwhile stalker from years ago returns.
  13. It's just a short term outlook though. If you're concentrating on filling the ground with away fans, by definition you're not doing anything to fill the ground with home fans which is the only way to prosper in the long run.
  14. OK, good to see/ hear he's had a couple of good games. Let's see if he can keep it up, no-one was singing his praises after the Stoke game.
  15. Lazy. The trick is to fill it with home supporters.
  16. Errr......that's exactly what I said!
  17. You're right - we dropped into the League 1 at one point. They threw the kitchen sink at it relatively speaking to get back to the Championship though. Seemingly not the same level of enthusiasm somewhere within the Club to fund a push to the Premier League, even when we've been in a good position.
  18. My thoughts exactly jim. Might not last long so let's just enjoy it while it does. The other headscratcher is how have our inept management have managed to find two such differing yet seemingly both very capable head coaches to succeed the hapless Mowbray?
  19. Yeah the whole thing was on Sky this morning, originated from their Twitter feed or X channel. I wouldn't have seen it otherwise either.
  20. Right on cue rovers fan99 leaps to the defence of Waggott. You mean like when the owners sanctioned a massive money deal (wages) for O Brien which mysteriously got sabotaged or when they (eventually) sanctioned a loan deal for Mcguire which went the same way? I have no confidence at all they'll stick their hands in their pocket this January mind, no matter how well we're doing.
  21. He's streets better than what we have at the moment. Presumably it would only be a loan and it would be reliant on Southampton paying nearly all his wages though.
  22. I'd be more worried about Waggott and Pasha. Their cushy little number might be in jeopardy again if this continues.
  23. What a result. Waggott will be getting a bit twitchy - we're starting to do a bit too well. Eustace certainly doesn't mind grinding it out against the top sides, have beaten Leeds twice and Leicester now in the last few months.
  24. They've equalised. Truly cringeworthy staged intro to the players on Sky courtesy of Cov's X channel this morning. They gave him an unenthusiastic standing ovation then Frank, who looked like he was waving at the players, launched into full touchy feely mode, "We 're all in this together no one's more important than the next man" etc Yes they are you're the bloomin' manager! Somewhat surreal and I thought fairly uncomfortable viewing.
