  1. Not a chance. Why would you do that?
  2. Doubt we were ever in for him.
  3. I may be wrong but my overall impression of VAR from the Premier League I'd that no-one really benefits from it overall because for the odd decision it gets right you've probably already had several more goals chalked off for the most trivial of infringements or the most marginal of offsides which otherwise would have gone unpunished.
  4. Wouldn't have said that was a red card personally, probably a pen but if it was the other way round I'd no doubt be arguing that BB should have been stronger and it was shoulder to shoulder. I'd be really annoyed if a red card were shown as well, he hadn't even set himself to take a shot.
  5. I didn't see it like that at all. If we get the penalty and their second is chalked off that still only makes it 1-1. And Hull missed a hatful of clear cut chances 2nd half. We were shocking and weren't even up for it first half. Yes, the officials made a couple of poor decisions but pretending we lost the game because of the officials is burying your head in the sand. Hopefully it was just a one off and a bad night at the office but many more performances like that and any promotion hopes will quickly disappear.
  6. Everything's pretty clear now for me. 1) If we're to have any chance of the play offs TM has to stick with what has worked well for us this season and not get too cute. If someone is missing replace like for like but otherwise keep changes to a minimum I.e. Davenport for Travis was all that was required tonight. 2) JRC , Johnson and Gallagher (especially) must never ever feature again. Then, we might have a chance.
  7. He must wonder what's happening when 25 stone Bradley Johnson waddles onto the pitch in front of him. Edit: Bet he can't wait to leave the Club.
  8. Nyambe will be straight back in Monday night hopefully.
  9. Doubt he'll be here next season so no reason why he shouldn't go for it, he's just a poor manager.
  10. Can't be crying like babies because a couple of decisions went against us, you have to make your own luck. What have we learned tonight 1) The players simply weren't up for the challenge first half. 2) The manager won't be able to resist tinkering with a winning formula he more or less stumbled on by accident to try and shoehorn Gallagher into the side at every possible opportunity. 3) JRC isn't up to the required standard. 4) Gallagher plumbed Paul Mckinnon type depths with his "performance" tonight. Wilder must have been locking his chops watching that tonight. Hesitate to say it was nice while it lasted but the last few games have felt a bit that way.
  11. Has to be much stronger than that. He needs to be cleaning the Hull players out.
  12. Thought Kaminsky was really poor for the goal tbh. Was never getting to the ball. Then makes a terrific save.
  13. Gallagher has to be one of the worst players ever to wear a Rovers shirt. Needs subbing at half time. Brereton isn't playing a lot better on the night either. He needs to start pulling his finger out as well. JRC is absolutely woeful. I wouldn't say he's even professional standard defensively. To think some people prefer him to the brilliant Nyambe. Need someone to get stuck in in midfield and the defence are being bullied by the limited Eaves who is putting himself about like Gallagher ought to. Too many passengers. Any hopes of automatic promotion won't last long playing like that.
  14. Davenport has never had a chance here. Weird really given Mowbray signed him and didn't inherit him.
  15. Can we sign him after the game as back up keeper?
  16. Yep. Midfield looks very weak. That's where I'd be looking to strengthen in the remainder of this window along with extra firepower up front.
  17. I like Lampard, can't stand Rooney but would welcome either of them going to Goodison and absolutely tanking. Never a bad thing to see one or all of the local giants struggling. Oh for the the halcyon days of 93-5 when we'd look at the fixture list and think "Only Everton/Liverpool today. That should be an easy 3 points!".
  18. It isn't the Spanish inquisition ! 🙂
  19. I think tonight is absolutely pivotal. I've little doubt we'd have won this game had it been played when it should have been as we were absolutely flying at that point. However the last few games for me we've looked very flat and like we're running on fumes. The three points is the main thing but I'd like to see us get back in our stride a bit as well. Lose tonight and I wouldn't even be too confident of making the play offs with a tough game against Boro coming up. Hopefully the new bodies in will concentrate minds and give everyone a bit of a lift. Was hoping for a couple more in by now but hopefully they're coming. (Quicker than defenders back in the day) COYB.
  20. Not sure what "aerosol generating procedures conducted by health workers" means in plain English but the fact remains that social distancing of 2 m was deemed to be adequate to prevent transmission of the virus at one point and that patently wasn't correct. Anyhow, not vaping is less dangerous than vaping and the patched up kit looks a right mess. Not sure how anyone could argue with that.
  21. What a load of rubbish. You probably might as well put your mouth round a car exhaust. Honestly. The things people will say to try and justify their addictions.
  22. "Science" didn't realise corona virus was airborne and thought it merely settled on hard surfaces before the start of the pandemic.
  23. Hoping we can do a lot better than previously linked journeymen like Hedges and Healey though personally. I would hope anyone we are targeting has flown completely under the radar like Markanday until the deal was nearly done. Out and out striker, imposing midfielder and possibly a back up keeper for me.
  24. If Rovers had any sense the bonuses would only take effect for players still under contract after the start of next season so that the out of contract 3 would need to sign a new deal to be eligible. The deals could also incorporate a hefty increase in the event of promotion.
  25. That's my view on it as well exactly Tom. I'm fairly sure that in years to come vaping will be deemed to be harmful in much the same way as smoking and that the Companies in question will face litigation. The people that started it off won't care as they'll have made their millions and will probably be long gone. Meanwhile the history books will probably look back on this as a particularly ignominious period in our shirt sponsorship history. Out of interest, any other professional football Clubs been desperate enough to have a vaping company as their shirt sponsor?
