  1. ......and that's why Walton shouldn't have been playing. Honestly, we'd be better without him on the pitch and putting an extra outfield player on.
  2. Can't really complain about that line up too much apart from Walton. I'm having that problem where it asks me to put in the promo code again on the I follow.
  3. Yes, but roll forward 5 years or more and we're in exactly the same position. For Lowe read Bennett!
  4. I know all that, unless I'm mistaken though that wouldn't have prevented them topping the wages up at the end of July like they had been doing previously if they'd wanted to. It just struck me they had shifted from a position of being very generous to doing nothing. August onwards is a different kettle of fish entirely.
  5. Apparently the non playing staff at the Club who have been furloughed had their wages topped up to 100% by Venky's in the months up to now which in my view was very generous of them. However at the end of July they will only be getting the 80% from the Government, so, taken in conjunction with the allegation that there is no information forthcoming about budgets for next season I'm not sure if that's something that should be raising red flags slightly.
  6. Couldn't agree more. The fact it would be such a ludicrous move worries me as it is such a bad idea it's probably exactly the sort of thing that would appeal to Tone.
  7. Not sure how Chapman can be criticised for making a match winning contribution inside less than 15 mins when that's all the manager will give him! Bizarre.
  8. Why is everyone getting all hot under the collar about not having news about the budget? When they do have it, Mowbray and Waggott either waste it on dross or bring no-one in then complain about the state of the market.
  9. Or.....some people will look to deflect attention away from Mowbray's shortcomings and blame everything on the owners.
  10. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, after the Cowleys' surprise sacking I'd snap their hands off and get them in yesterday.
  11. I'd take the Cowleys over Mowbray in a heartbeat.
  12. Absolute garbage from Mowbray. Why would he want a player who isn't sulky about not being in the first team? Also all this guff about having to be one of the best eleven players in the Club, that doesn't seem to apply to certain players like Bennett and Gallagher who are abysmal every week but still get picked without fail anyway.
  13. I was never in favour and I'm guessing now we don't have the funds to bring in a decent permanent replacement.
  14. I forgot about Davenport as well who's been here 2 seasons but who can't get a chance either. TM will play the youngsters if there's no other choice but he doesn't appear to trust them.
  15. If you're happy to see us finish nowhere every season and only put a bit of effort in when it's too late I still think you're very easily pleased. Apologies for sounding brusque, it's not you I'm upset with.
  16. I wouldn't use sarcasm when it doesn't back up your point, Brereton has only started back to back games twice in two years, Chapman has hardly been seen since signing 18 months ago, Nyambe invariably has to play second fiddle to Bennett, Travis was on his way out on loan before Smallwood got himself suspended, Wharton and Magloire can't get a chance, Buckley only gets cameos, JRC only got in as a result of an injury crisis.
  17. ? Good effort. Let's see how prominent a part they play next season when it matters once again.
  18. To suggest Walton has only been poor since the restart is ludicrous. Nearly everyone's been telling you he's absolute cack all season but you wouldn't have it.
  19. I think you're being very easily seduced by a slightly bolder selection and a bit more spirit in a dead rubber Parson.
  20. Seeing as you asked......For the players to put a shift in when it actually matters, A (different) manager to select the youngsters when it actually matters and a goalkeeper!
  21. Lot of goals about today apart from in most of the games with anything riding on them. Real end of season affairs. What might have been with a half decent manager in charge. And a goalkeeper.
  22. He was desperate to outscore BB. 3-2 to Gallagher is it?
  23. Mowbray, won't like that. Chapman with an assist.
