  1. Don't think we did unless you can provide a source to the contrary.
  2. The only difference is that we have owners who don't absolutely need the money if push comes to shove. We should still be running along relatively sensible business lines though wherever possible and your second paragraph is of course spot on.
  3. Maybe it's a case of the owners stepping in and taking matters out of the hands of Waggott and Mowbray. Bit too late in the specific case of Armstrong but hey ho.
  4. He won't be going anywhere then. Good news for us. (For a while at least) Long term we've still been screwed over by the incompetence of Waggott and Mowbray yet again.
  5. It's not what he WANTS Chadster, it's what he expects based on last season and what is likely to happen between now and the end of the transfer window. I have to say I'm surprised you appear to have completely erased last season from your memory banks and appear to be basing your optimism that a top 6 challenge is feasible on the assumption that certain players can or will suddenly start performing in a manner they have failed to do previously.
  6. What a great post from JH Rover. He's absolutely nailed it. The season hasn't even started yet and already I can't bear to listen to Mowbray. "The Registration embargo caused us to miss out on targets". Christ. We knew this could be a potential problem months ago hence the statement on the Club website stating it'd be sorted. Which it was - but only at the very last minute. How's about organising your affairs such that you don't cop a registration ban and can sign players early in the window then? Treating everyone like absolute idiots again already.
  7. Yes I would have thought that should be the case. In latest news, Mickey Mouse spotted wearing a Macron Shirt.
  8. Is that normal? Should it not arrive completely ready to go?
  9. Don't see why not. MACRON are in breach of their supply agreement before the relationship has even got off the ground. We should have given them the choice of either allowing us to use last season's kit until the new one is ready to use or we hammer them with a penalty clause. If Waggott bothered to insist on one that is.
  10. Exactly. Somewhat convenient many might say.
  11. What an absolute shit show. Having to be bailed out by a non League side. We're meant to be a professional Club in the second tier of English football. So: Extortionate match day prices Season ticket prices raised during a pandemic The Brockhall fiasco New pitch promised which never came to fruition Edit: Young fans excluded from a Club mural No kit to play in The list of fiascos gets longer and longer. Come on Venky's - sort this rabble down at Ewood out! Please!
  12. Think it was Paul Mani who said at least 12 months ago he was rated behind the scenes as the best of the youngsters. Seems to have disappeared off the face of the earth since then.
  13. Always said that Mowbray was a good 'un!
  14. Will be ignored or loaned out as soon as the serious action starts and we have bought another four or five loanees in then.
  15. Slightly harsh, has signs of ability, just umpteen years past his sell by date. Think he's well behind Evans and Bennett in the crapness stakes. No way whatsoever he should have been offered a new deal though.
  16. Ah, our old mate Dan - Mowbray's chief apologist, no surprise there. I don't really understand why stick aimed specifically at Mowbray should affect the confidence of the team, surely they are able to differentiate between stick aimed at them personally and that aimed at the manager?
  17. An ally in the dressing room for Tone now Bennett and Downing have gone possibly. Won't be much use in that respect if he's always out injured though.
  18. Not saying his absence today is a sign he's off per se, but even if there were a move in the offing he'd have to get fit for the new season somewhere wouldn't he?
  19. Not an excuse for not at least being able to get a set out for the team's use imo. Covid and Brexit haven't suddenly sprung up out of nowhere since the kit deal was signed. If you can't deliver, don't sign the deal. What next, no kits on general sale until Christmas "because of Covid"?
  20. You've got to love Chaddy and his sense of unfailing optimism! 🙂👍
  21. The 2 X1's today don't exactly bode well for the season do they? Although funnily enough even if that's what we were left with I could get behind those players a lot easier than the likes of Bennett/Evans/Ayala/Downing and another batch of loanees from other Clubs.
  22. If that actually is the view from his house he doesn't need to close the curtains, he can't see it for the trees! Not much happening on the pitch then?
  23. Perhaps it's a Macron thing then. Not good enough either way and doesn't bode well for the relationship.
