  1. Thanks. No spam folder on my mobile, have checked my laptop and it doesn't seem to be in there.
  2. I've not had my code yet, I'm in the category of "think I have successfully set up my account but missed the Tuesday deadline".
  3. I agree. I managed to sign up for an account (just) but in general people who are tech savvy vastly overestimate the ability of people who aren't. Rovers for instance said something like "Go to your my Rovers account and make sure your details are updated and that your ticketing account is linked to your online account". Having managed to do it eventually I now understand what was meant but before I'd completed the task you might as well have been speaking a foreign language. What should have been provided was a set of step by step instructions. Go to Rovers. co .uk click on the my account tab at the top or bottom of the page and if you haven't got an account already, open one by clicking this option then complete said boxes then choose that option to link your my Rovers account to your season ticket etc etc.
  4. Watching the Villa/Sheff Utd. game the goal line technology obviously needs a good service. Or the system doesn't work if the keeper has hold of the ball. What a joke.
  5. Surely though the whole point of testing is that everyone can be retested again in 2-3 days and only those who are positive need to self isolate and the rest are clear to play and can carry on as normal. If the number of positive tests was substantial enough on retest (presumably a sort of number that has previously been discussed between the Clubs )then that might be grounds for the Club in question to request a postponement. We'd never get restarted if we go to ground everytime there's the odd positive test, 8 positives out of over 2200 tests carried out isn't pad at all imo.
  6. Cheers. After numerous false starts have just just registered for a my Rovers account, updated my preferences and linked my season ticket. We'll see if I get my code. I'll be fuming if I dont get it because of the arbitrary deadline they didn't tell anyone about. Don't fancy my chances of getting sorted via the e-mail address given if the code doesn't arrive. Now then whether to spend £45 on a cut out before 6p.m tomorrow....... Might scare off the opposition. ?
  7. Not sure if I'm moaning for the sake of it but I just logged in to Rovers.co.uk to find out what I need to do to get the I follow only to discover I have already apparently missed a deadline of 6p.m. Tuesday to take the necessary steps and having read the article I'm not really that much wiser as to what I should have done in the first place. Anyone else in the same boat?
  8. Yep. And we haven't even offered the credit note either. (Yet) But even now its feeling like any concessions will only be given if enough people complain and the Club are shamed into offering something.
  9. Yeah, Chaplin's I think it was called. Had to sneak in there underage for a couple of 18th birthday parties from school. ?
  10. My mate's son says he and Williams have knocks. Not sure how when they've been doing predominantly non contact training but still.
  11. Difficult to disagree but as Dreams of 1995 said I'm not sure the "Waggott has no authority" line washes in the current climate as Businesses in general have had to adapt the way they work during the Pandemic and it would have taken a matter of minutes for him to speak to the owners by video link.
  12. Just had a proper read of the notes of the FF meeting and, potentially, the more I read it the more appalled I am. I really hope Waggott doesn't send out another communication advising fans that refunds are a matter of "financial hardship" and that if you want one you've got to contact the Club pleading your case. Refunds should be available to anyone who wants one regardless of status, and regardless of the reason they want one, no questions asked, but obviously if you get one you don't get the I follow. I'm sure we've all been in the position at some point where we've had to contact our creditors to negotiate a temporary arrangement regarding a debt but it's pretty embarrassing having to explain why you're in difficulty, and not the most pleasant experience. I think it really will be the final straw for most fans if they have to go begging cap in hand to the Club for a relatively small refund.
  13. Shouldn't affect us as much as Walton wasn't starting from much of a base to begin with....
  14. The Bundesliga matches have been played at an excellent level of intensity imo so there's no reason whatsoever why the players in this Country can't reproduce that. If they don't it says rather more about their lack of character than the concept of football BCD.
  15. It looks like the next item for discussion on the agenda at the FF was Rovers branded face masks. Cracking idea. At the very least it should be possible to do one in blue and white halves. What was the response?
  16. When the Oyster and Otter first opened they had a fantastic takeaway fish and chip shop on the side. Prices were higher than your average chippy though and it quickly shut. Personally I thought the difference in quality was worth it.
  17. The Derby Arms used to be fantastic about ten years ago before the current chain took it over. Nevertheless terrible news to see the loss of another 10 pub/restaurant outlets.
  18. Do you? If you're expecting Mowbray to wheel and deal his way to success I suspect you'll be sorely disappointed I'm afraid. What's happening to the much vaunted set up of our European scouting operation which seems to have been in the offing for eons now. Still not had enough time to set it up?
  19. To play devil's advocate the previous owners almost certainly wouldn't have hung around to pump in £150m plus to keep us afloat. Imo if we'd been relegated on their watch they'd have run for the hills leaving us high and dry and we wouldn't have seen them for dust. Nothing I've seen from the way they treated their other businesses reeked of class either. They even flogged off Fred's baby Stanley House to the Eurogarage mob and the operating losses on that would never have made much difference to their overall position.
  20. Yes, what's that got to do with anything?
  21. It's still a business. Ideal scenario: Rovers do all they can by offering a full range of options including a refund. Fans recognise the Club are doing their best and no-one asks for a refund. Obviously in practice a few would ask for a refund but the way we've gone about it seems the worst possible approach to me. As for "future offers" what future offers? I'm not aware of any to press. It seems to me that the Club are dipping their toes in the water and seeing if they can get away with it and will only grudgingly offer any sort of concession if people kick up enough fuss. All very grubby and unseemly looking and completely lacking in class.
  22. I have a bit of sympathy for where you're coming from with that comment, but can you imagine ANY other business in this day and age going: "We're going to be offering you an inferior product to the one which we agreed and advertised, we hope you'll just let it slide and not ask for a refund now or expect any sort of credit note in future.' The customer is king and a refund should have been offered as part of a full range of options.
  23. You'll have to excuse my ignorance as I've rarely watched a stream on my laptop before, but wouldn't that make the picture worse? My experience of watching the red button has been that the better quality HD your TV is the worse the stream looks!
  24. To paraphrase from another old classic Stingray "Anything could happen in the next 9 games". I think we see some very odd results, some 5-3 type scorelines and home advantage probably won't be as useful as normal. Fitness will be absolutely key. From our point of view, if we decided they weren't good enough before, I hope we dont revert back to the likes of Smallwood, Mulgrew and I would also say Williams which will probably make the latter an automatic pick.
