  1. Very odd. One to avoid I'd say as with Kent who has a similar sort of lack of game time. Of course if we can pick up someone who's fallen completely of the radar using this sort of Moneyball approach all well and good but it's a huge gamble.
  2. What's happened to Holding? Wiki says 1 Premier League appearance this season for Palace? Seems a come down from being reasonably regular for Arsenal. Edit misread it - that seems to be an u21 appearance. No senior appearances in 2023-4 or 2024-5? Injury?
  3. That would be a massive kick in the nuts for us. On Buckley, wonder how lucrative the 5 year deal we gave him in 2022 was?
  4. Fair enough. I think I'd have slightly less interest in ties like those as the chance of progressing is that much less. The only thing that matters with Cup comps is getting through to the next round. If you can field a slightly weakened side and still get through, so much the better but you have to get the balance right.
  5. I find it odd that the FA Cup doesn't float your boat yet if it was a meaningless England friendly you'd probably be riveted!
  6. As if he'd be willing to come here. It'll be sickening for us if he goes to a rival and tears it up though.
  7. That headline was horrendous wasn't it - said "Eustace to go to WBA after talks" when the actual story was "BBC journalist claims on his podcast that Eustace would entertain a move to WBA if they made a formal approach for him, which they so far haven't."
  8. Not sure what average Doets had in his last 64 and 32 games but watching it, it seemed like he was throwing 46 most throws and dragging his opponent down to the same level. No complaints about the Premier League line up this year I don't think. The 2 Lukes, Van Gerwyn Cross Dobey Aspinall Bunting and Price.
  9. We seemingly got back his twin brother who looked like he'd rarely seen a football after the Burnley sending off as it is.
  10. On Hanley, just seen from another online article that Nixon is saying both us and Sheff Utd want Hanley on loan but that the player wants something with a permanent move at the end of it. For that reason I'd doubt any interest in Schlupp or Hanley will come to anything .
  11. Errrr...... Big whoop .....he can borrow £25m. What happens after that? Why do people embarrass themselves on social media like that?
  12. Christ, don't bother if you're going to be like that. My ire is directed primarily not at you or the people who give up their time for free but the representatives of the Club who have turned the whole thing into a charade by never providing a worthwhile answer to anything. I don't know how you have the patience to sit there and have your intelligence insulted time after time. I certainly wouldn't have.
  13. It was a suggestion from someone else only on the proviso the Reading lad comes in permanently. Not happening In the first place I don't suppose.
  14. Hard pass on Kent for me but Quality striker and Quality winger permanently Schlupp and Hanley on loan and I think that'd be a very good window. Expecting neither of the first 2 and maybe one of the second 2.
  15. It's like we get to January 3rd every year then start thinking about who we might bring in.
  16. Fair enough. Out of those options I'd sell Hyam. Just don't see us doing anything that bold.
  17. Have a look back at the contributions from Paul Mani and my questions pertaining to it. Take it or leave it but incendiary stuff if true.
  18. Not really - out of contract end of next season - needs an extended deal on decent money imo.
  19. And you can't blame Lenihan one bit.
  20. I can't understand why most people think the likes of Schlupp and Hanley are not good enough as cover, maybe even only on a temporary basis, but Ryan Hedges is and deserves a contract extension. I must be living in some sort of parallel universe where in the other one Hedges is decent.
  21. Thought he was given a 2 and a half year deal when he joined. Might be wrong on that so someone please confirm or otherwise. As he was out of work at the time and knowing our lot I wouldn't have thought he's on a particularly generous wage relatively speaking.
  22. I know, I just can't see this Reading lad being prepared to come here to sit on the bench if he's as good as everyone says. Edit: Then when everyone's fit he's got to compete with Hyam/Carter/Wharton/Batth/ and to a lesser extent O'Riordan.
