  1. Anything other than a win today is unacceptable.
  2. When moggadon was in charge I said any manger of rovers who loses 5 consecutive games, particularly with a general pattern of iffy results over an extended period they should be removed from duties forthwith. So lose at home to the bottom of the league to make it 5 in a row and 7 defeats from 8 then my opinion is the same now as it was then. Especially in light of the manner of them and the 15th defeat of the season with only five teams having a worse goal difference than us and only Rotherham ironically conceding more (for now). If we lose will he be sacked. Of course he won’t be, not the remotest possibility of that. We’re a zombie club barely able to function even at the best of times. For what it’s worth I like jdt, I like him calling out the hierarchy, I like his ambition and he definitely has a justified claim in blaming his superiors for his predicament and them shafting him. However, when you can’t organise a defence and you are too stubborn to deviate from a failing ideology you can’t expect to be a successful manager. Having to score three to draw a match doesn’t get you anywhere fast. Not being able to draw matches gets you nowhere fast either. Sometimes football has to be boring, pragmatic, you have to graft, do the nonsense, run, work. We don’t seem to fancy doing that. It should in theory be the biggest game of jdt’s managerial career to date if he wants to avoid a big black mark on his cv but like all the others before him in classic Blackburn rovers fashion it’ll be a mere shrug of the shoulders and on to the next game.
  3. I agree that we could find a buyer. My head says who in their right mind would buy rovers especially if the debt is included but my heart says someone would be wooed by the history and the fact still a top 2 division side. Not particularly on here, although they will exist, people I know used to say we can’t get rid of Mowbray because we won’t get any better. Totally adamant about that. Unanimously they agree jdt is better having surpassed moggadon in all 3 competitions and isn’t an insufferable company yes man. These same people are now totally adamant that we wouldn’t be able to sell rovers as who would buy. Let’s see. The Venkys and rovers is a disastrous match for everybody - them, the club, the fans. Just try and sell In terms of getting promoted. I think it would take a monumental effort. It would need a virtual overhaul of the entire squad with ffp restrictions it’s a tall order. More importantly an entire resetting of the mindset of the majority of fanbase who are brainwashed into thinking little old Blackburn Rovers should be happy bumbling along in the championship/league one occasionally. Frankly I’m including some who have actually seen us lift the premier league trophy.
  4. Yeah that’s manager code for the terrace chant can we play you every week.
  5. Everyone has different tipping points. For some it’s 6 defeats from 7 conceding 18 in the last 6. Others it will be a defeat at home to bottom of the table. Others longer still but he’s on a slippery slope here make no mistake.
  6. The answer is it’s been nearly 15 years since last had a decent manager
  7. I always said Mowbray shouldn’t have survived any one of his death spirals. I like jdt in a way I never warmed to moggadon but the same applies to him. Although with our new hierarchy is Gregg the egg not also answerable.
  8. 6 defeats from 7 in the manner of some of them is very much sacking form. We allowed Mowbray to get away with 2 of these runs a season just can’t do it again.
  9. 28 away goals conceded. Thats relegation numbers.
  10. I appreciate they play rugby here as well but the pitch isn’t looking up to much. Our brand of suicide football isn’t great on a bowling green surface this could cause issues.
  11. I can’t think of a single season where the goalkeepers have directly cost us so many points.
  12. The cherry on top of the cake it’s covering one of the many god awful venky logos.
  13. Poor keeping. Certainly not one of his worst by any means but not good enough. Last 15 mins again
  14. So far so good but with the patchwork quilt of a side it can unravel very quickly. Especially with a bench resembling an u21s game. Come out with the same desire and I’ll be confident
  15. I can’t say what percent of the fanbase do and don’t live in the Blackburn with Darwen catchment area or what the radius of it would be. But I had a think about people I know who go to at least 5 home games and out of 20 none live in the immediate area. The closest balderstone/whalley which is still about 10 miles. Mostly in Ribble valley to be fair. A few in manc, West Yorkshire and a few down south. Although I appreciate my experience is skewed having never lived in a bb2 postcode.
  16. Via Bitcoin only on the second Tuesday of every month no doubt
  17. My mates periodically send me this after I foolishly downloaded a train ticket on my phone which was nearly out of battery by the time we arrived in Euston. Foreseeing issues I showed the ticket office the purchased return train ticket and my phone battery on 10% and asked if they could print me off a proof of purchase as my phone would be dead by the time came home. They refused. Well until I was abusive sadly, and I do mean sadly, the only language customer facing roles seem to understand these days. I also had a similar issue with a boarding pass when cracked my phone screen. Since then I look for the past to find solutions to modern problems namely cash and physical documents.
  18. Commendable effort but once again it’s barmy the fans have to step in to provide common sense solutions to problems of the clubs own making. It’s their job yet once again beholden to fans donating their time and common sense. ”They immediately conceded that the message hadn’t been conveyed in an appropriate manner”. - if only we had a competent head of marketing to make sure such mistakes didn’t happen. When they fail time and time again on the little issues it’s no wonder they can’t ever get the big things right. Re the timing of the fans take over the cynic in me thinks they do it on purpose. I seem to recall they did something irritating before the girona game. Even though there’s plenty of club officials who are paid very handsomely to do seemingly naff all at least the fan groups are still bringing some sense to proceedings.
  19. Far too much effort. I’d rather just make it difficult for fans to attend saving £5 in printing tickets.
  20. Quite. If and until someone can provide tangible evidence as to why he is a credit to the club and not useless I shall continue to believe he’s a coffee bean fryer promoted well beyond his ability. Going off the evidence I’m seeing he’s utterly useless. I’m sure he’s a decent bloke who rescues stray dogs in his spare time but as head of marketing it’s embarrassing
  21. Im sure we all tell fibs on the CV but this guy clearly has no shame to tell a whopping lie like that.
  22. So it’s the same plank who’s in charge of retail and ticketing. It was bad enough when assumed it was 2 different muppets. No kiddies home kits in for the start of the season or Xmas. Now making the ticketing a shambles. Considering there’s some pretty stiff competition this guy could be up there as the most useless ewood employee, definitely much more suited for his role at Costa coffee frying beans.
  23. Just read that frasier read article. Where on earth do they keep finding these cretins. It’s unbelievable for a business to keep misreading the room across every aspect of pleasing their customers. If I was deliberately trying to conceive a moronic idea I couldn’t actually beat what these dummies put into action. Christ only knows whats left on the cutting room floor at hq.
  24. It’ll be some teenage kid who pays for everything on his watch. Totally forgetting there’s an entire generation of fans who are unable or unwilling to download a ticket to their smart phone or print one off at home. I know for a fact my old man couldn’t figure that out nor have the inclination to try. And, a lot of people that won’t be able to afford to go to football over Christmas (let’s call a spade a spade particularly in the Blackburn area). They will have looked at that match for cheaper tickets at a tenner. Those same people might simply not have access to internet, smart phones, Apple wallets, printers and all that crap. Another own goal from the inept commercial team.
