  1. I don't. Anyone know what port it's on so I can unblock it at the firewall ?
  2. Are any of the club likely to be possible clubs we could need to switch legs for (i.e. two clubs in the same town etc).
  3. Cheers Ricky. Thought so, just wanted to be sure.
  4. Can any of the Danish fans confirm Aarhus airport is the closest to Randers ?
  5. Denmark looks a bugger. Nearest place I can find that I recognise the name of is Aalborg, which is about 50 miles away.
  6. Wargem seems to be just outside Bruge.
  7. So. Which cheap flights sites do people recommend ?
  8. Straight after the draw (once they know who is home first leg). However, beware, for the Sofia game the legs were switched a few hours later (after Gav and Debs had booked flights).
  9. As the formatting may scare some people into thinking that's the draw. The teams we can play are :- Heart of Midlothian FC (SCO) AS Nancy-Lorraine (FRA) SV Sulte Waregem (BEL) FC Salzburg (AUT) Randers FC (DEN)
  10. If I've got this right. At some point between now and the draw, we'll be placed in a group of 10, only 5 of which we could play. Anyone know where/when we can get these group ? It'll make researching flight setc easier if I only need to worry about 5 destinations.
  11. Well, somebody involved with both could convert this thread into a poll to get some figures to present
  12. Welcome back Yoda. Although you only seem to come back when new Dingles arrive to bait.
  13. Good Point. Added to my todo list. In the mean time, badly formatted, but working - http://www.brfcs.co.uk/includes/box_daysince.php
  14. Watch this space. We're about to reopen the gallery on here.
  15. For those that missed it, the news is availble for those who sign up on the official site at http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/New...~886588,00.html "ROVERS have announced season ticket sales have now moved ahead of last year." and "Hospitality sales are also ahead of last year". Other than that it's light on detail (other than what they've done to boost sales).
  16. Ooh ! I know the answer to this (and I'm sure Jill will correct me if I'm slightly wrong). It's because the entire antiquated system still relies on bits of paper being sent around the country. One bank physically sends the request to the the other, who check the account and should there be insufficient funds need time to decide wether to pay it or send the request back to the other bank. It's certianly how it works for cheques and it seems a similar system muct be used for inter-bank electronic transactions. Obviously in-bank transactions can be done much quicker as the bank itself can cheeck both ends of the transaction without replying on another bank to get back to them.
  17. We'd only do that if you break the rules. In fact, we grew quite attatched to CoolClaret and even SamDingle, Randolph and some of the others pop back on from time to time for a bit of friendly banter. Just don't expect an easy ride, limited gene pools scare some of our members
  18. Rovers' official text messaging service has reported that PSV Eindhoven have accepted Rovers' bid for the World Cup defender Andre Ooijer. His transfer is discussed at length on our forums transfer thread and a detailed profile of him can be found on Wikipedia
  19. Would these improved communications channels allow unofficial websites to reproduce such info without them having them mither PAPR for it. Even better if Rovers marketing department have a message they want to get out that is of some benefit to the fans (i.e. not 100% blatent advertising), then they could just forward it to admin@brfcs.com I'm sure our news editor would be delighted On a less tongue-in-cheek note, it is nice to see that Rovers are aware of the need to improve communication channelsand are looking to improve them. I personally feel this is one area the club has needed to work on for years. Well done and long may it continue.
  20. The bloke that Scotty spoke to knows EXACTLY how people feel about drummers, that's why HE hasn't drummed for two seasons. In fact, Ste B especially, made a point of letting him know exactly how he felt, regulary and vocally It's intresting that he described himself as the EX-FF Chairman, I guess that confirms what I'd suspected and the FF is now offically dead (unless there is a new chairman and I'm no longer invited). The main drummer (who I don't think I'm going to upset by calling him "Billy", he's been named in the press enough times) is a genuinely nice guy who does honestly believe the majority of fans what him to carry on. He also believes what he does has a positive effect. Unlike the "ex-drummer" (whom I won't name) who realised that many people objected, so stopped. Both are genuine fans. The Ex-Drummer in particular has an attendance record that surpasses Jordan's. Both also contribute to the club in other ways (such as the FF).
  21. Somewhat away from the topic, but it didn't warrent it's own thread. I subscribe to a weekly mailing called Holy Moly (NSFW: Very bad languag) which is very funny gossip rag. One of the things they feature is excerpts from various TV station's duty logs (i.e. phone and email complaints and comments made by viewers). Most are classics, but I couldn't helping thinking either Gordon or Jim is responsible for this one.
