Although neither have signed a new contract, you don't know for certain that a new manager might tempt them to stay. What if, for arguments sake, they appointed Rooney as manager. Those 2 might very well look at the prospect of working with a such a high profile name and adding in his good work at Derby enough to sign a new deal.

So, as I understand it, one of the people in charge of appointing the next manager is a bloke who overruled the appointment of Neil Warnock in favour of Owen Coyle. And the other is Waggot? ...........great.

Apparently, we've been granted Cat 1 Academy status for another 3 years.

He only joined last July. Why would we only have him here for 1 window and by the time his work should be bearing fruit (i.e this summer) he's leaving?! Classic Venkys. A total waste of time, effort and money.

Yer we can chuck in, "We're only 2 points off the playoffs and Boro and Forest have games in hand on us!" Or "I'd rather have not won the points than have the games in hand!" Wait, neither of those are right.........

A really strange decision to appoint a manager, who's teams concede a lot goals, when you're trying to avoid relegation. And, here they are, needing 3 goals at least to win against a relegation rival in what has to be classed as a must win. They've got goals in them, so could easily get another 1 or 2 and win but damn this is a risky appointment.

Nothing to fear in those last 6 but we said we had a nice run of fixtures against Millwall (draw), Bristol (lost), Derby (win), Reading (lost), Coventry (draw). Just the one win and one of those teams was managed by Paul Ince FFS. I can't see us winning 6 on the bounce.

Down to 7th as it's stands. Can't imagine we'll be back in the top 6 again before the season ends.
