  1. It would be 11 years too late but yeah they definitely should be. But then again the whole game probably needs complete overhaul. It seems Reading, like Rovers, were used as a way to make a lot of people rich with the best interests of the club no wherw near the top of the priory list. The fans of course, as always are at the bottom of that list.
  2. Oh, it's more than that, he's signed a 4 year contract. The bloke has been a terrible manager, bombing at Leeds and Hibs. Even his caretaker role earlier in the year with Sheff Utd he oversaw 8 losses in 11 games. They'll be lucky to stay up.
  3. Modern day foreign ownership in a nutshell. Why the hell would they do this?
  4. Another good driving run from Rothwell, resulting him being blatantly cleaned out. Rothy gets us frothy
  5. We're talking about a guy who not too long ago, literally tripped over the ball/blade of grass in the box with only the keeper to beat. And now, 16 goals before the end of November. Insane.
  6. Needed that! BBD again, mental can't believe the season he's having.
  7. Not sure why Brereton felt the need to kick the ball away and get carded.
  8. There's taking your foot off the gas and then there's taking your foot off the gas after a Mowbray half time team talk.
  9. Aye possibly. He is our captain though, which is why it would be a surprise to see him dropped in the next few weeks.
  10. I really don't want to see a back 3. I think, as someone mentioned in another thread, the surprises in the team selection going forward will end up being Lenihan phased out in favour of Wharton. A back 3 keeps Ayala and Lenihan in the team (for now) but gets some much needed minutes into Wharton. Just my thoughts anyway.
  11. In other news, the Scottish Wayne Rooney, David Goodwillie has scored his 12th goal of the season (in Scottish League one)
  12. Is this why we sold our training ground, to avoid a points deduction?
  13. Yeah, I was thinking that not having a new deal sorted might galvanise him a little but if got a new deal he might just revert to type. I suppose ultimately, he's too streaky to make a consistent assault on the play off places, regardless of his contract situation. Bit no, I wouldn't be handing him a new contract before the summer and even then, he would have had to pull off something spectacular to even be offered a contract in the summer. Inevitably, we will tumble down the league to our usual Mowbray place of mid-lower table and hopefully a parting of ways in the summer (at the latest)
  14. The problem with Mowbray (ok one of the problems) is that he is a very streaky manager for us. We often go on good runs of being unbeaten, only to follow that up without being able to buy a win. Because of that, any contract offer needs to wait until the summer. Give him a new 2 year deal (let's say) in Jan because we are 5th/6th but then could very well nose dive down the league and win something like 2 out of 15 games. I can see where you're coming from but there is also the possibility that him knowing he'll be out of contract at the end of the season might actually prove to be a motivator to make him actually earn a new contract (I know, I know). As soon as he's got his new deal, he might take the foot off the gas and start talking about Journey's again.
  15. For the first time, I tested out streaming my Xbox to phone, connecting my controller to my phone and playing it that way. Have to admit, I was skeptical it would work at all but it worked really well. Admittedly the screen is small and that does have an impact but I am now tempted to get a phone mount for my controller (can be bought for less than £10) as the wife often watches utter crap on TV on a night. Anyone else regularly stream their console to a phone?
  16. Appointing him only till the end of the season is a smart move. These sort of appointments normally start well before fading quickly. Cardiff probably hoping he can gain enough points to avoid relegation and review in the summer.
