Loans aren't free though. Even signing a top striker wouldn't put us anywhere near the play offs this season. Throwing money away loaning a striker, a little investment now gives our player time to settle and adjust, get a season under their belt and we can build further next season.

Seen that he can play LB or midfield. What type of midfield role, does anyone know? Assuming he's here to challenge for a place either at LB or in MF, and not just back up.

Not a signing that makes a great deal of sense when we signed the Leeds lad, have Chapman, Dolan and Diaz for the wide positions. Gallagher too I suppose. Agreed a proper striker should be the priority, permanent deal obviously better. 6 players for 3 positions, 7 if we sign a striker as well, he isn't going to be able to keep all those happy.

According to the lancs live: Michael Obafemi - looks like he'll leave on loan. Bournemouth interested but we've probably moved on. Ryan Hedges - we've had a bid rejected (£250k) and would need to at least double it. Free in the summer so might wait for a knockdown fee in Jan. Reda Khadra - Sounds like the injury is stalling the move, could still happen though. Jamal Lowe - Bournemouth interested (again) but would take £1m+ to land. We've made an enquiry but its likely to go down to the wire. Tayo Edun - Should happen Looks set to be a busy day of links but I'm sceptical we'll actually get much done.

The Jamal Lowe link is a bit from left field. Surely they will want more money than we have. Especially if we are spluffing 500k on a back up left back.
